Yay. Did you have to make a whole topic based on that one little thing? Speaking of which, could you possibly refrain from making so many topics? I think you've made over half a dozen in one day.

Lexi's eye color is of some confusion, but how do you know that they are originally blue? You'd need to get the original plans for LU, or even LU's predecessor, 'Loonatics'.
Pre-meteor Lexi had blue eyes as well in "Comet Cometh" i think. Hmm, this is odd indeed. Why give her green eyes when she's in costume and blue eyes when she's out of costume? Does any of the other Loonatics' eye colours change too?

Actually, this is indeed an interesting theory....
These screenshots are taking from "Comet Cometh", providing a very useful compression with the exact color palette of Loonatics Eyes. Take a look at them.
Slam's eyes go from black to red?! That's even weirder than Lexi's blue to green eyes (there is a distinction, no question. It's not blueish-green or anything like that). Kinda freaky.

I'm thinking the general pattern with all the Loonatics is that their eye colours change to brighter, more vibrant and more outstanding shades when they're in 'super mode', and they revert back to more dullish, flatter, 'natural' shades when in 'normal' forms. Most probably the change came about as a result of their genetic alteration.
Perhaps it`s linked to my theory about the photovoltaic mutation in their skin pigments. Perhaps their eyes become more vibrant as a result of the photo-pigment concentration as well.

Hi!
Thanks for the comparison pictures Zadavia. They are very good.
That's a very good explanation Black Oracle. I have also imagined something similar. This reminds me about Son-Goku when he transform into a super saiyajin. Then his eye colour is changing from black to turquoise and his hair changes from black to blonde.
um well you know how all the villans have blue on them well most of them, anyway isnt blue like sigh that you know evil,(ace and duck also have blue eyes)

I don't think Ace and Duck's blue eyes are meant to signify them as evil in any way, even tho' we had Massive and Weathervane with blue skin colours.
Me: But I'm not! I just choose to be. Like when I get misted ("crapped [on]" in German)...
Tech: Whatever...

I heard that too. And my English teacher said that blue eyed people actually do not have colored irises. They lack actual pigment and actually just reflect blue light, like the sky. I didn't believe her when she said that.

Really? I had no idea about that! How odd. So blue-eyed people are actually pigmentless! That means, Ace and Duck's eyes actually are colourless! Gasp!

Yup, that's why albino humans typically have blue eyes and not red eyes like albino animals However, some people DO have 'red' eyes (albinos and people with ocular albinism, which is basically 'albino eyes'), although it's usually more pink. That's a result of the lack of pigmentation allowing light to reflect off the blood vessels in the eye.

I hope people are still reading this thread. I'm fairly new to Loonatics (the only episodes I've seen of it are what have been uploaded on YouTube so far) and I'd like to poise a question. I thought I might as well ask in this thread instead of creating a new one, since it's more or less related.
I've watched the Comet episode and more recently, Duck Cape from Season 2. Now, I understand that the characters were all genetically modified - or at least that was implied - in the Comet episode explaining how they got their powers. I assumed, since I never saw them in their "original" colors after that, that they were all "zapped" into having all-black fur, and that they constantly wore matching black guards to suit. Other episodes showed them wearing clothes over this "black" makeup, though it's arguable that since they were always about to go into combat, it would be impractical to switch back into their normal fur.
Then again, I haven't watched every single episode, so I might be wrong. The question I want to pose is:
Did they manage to keep their normal fur colors after the meteor hit? (This is obvious yes.) If so, why the heck are they always, if not mostly, shown in their black get-up? I suppose it's for battle conveniences sake, but I'm not complaining about the normal fur thing either. (At least now I know they actually wear something else besides that black suit.) :P
(Kinda contradictory, though, ain't it? In Time After Time Ace wakes up already wearing his suit, and in Duck Cape he's in his pjs. Probably a Season 1 Season 2 thing, but eh.)
(Wow, that was long. Sorry for the ramble. I'm just really intrigued by this "discovery"; I'd assumed they'd changed to being black-furred permanently.)
Well they did keep there fur colors. They jest wear there uniform all the time. I think it would come in handy when your a superhero and never know when danger will arive.
Any whays the meteor didn't chang there fur, ther uniform dous. I thought the meteor changed there fur as well untill I saw the Menace of Mastermind. that was the first time the Loonatics where out of there uniforms.
Theres only one Loonatic whos original look changed form befor the meteor. And its only a small chang. Any whays thats Lexi befor the meteor her hears hung low lik Lola bunnys thin after the meteor they stand up.
Yeah, you helped. Thanks. (I'm wondering how their uniform makes every single thing about them change, though. Like Ace's white fur to yellow and vice versa. That's gotta be a lot of masking. :/ )
I of course have an explanation for the color change, but it`s drawn out and far-fetched. Nevertheless, I`m sure there are some like Skifox on this site who remember my explanation delivered a while back on TV.com.
Blue signifies coldness as well as calmness and sadness. So whether the blue on their skin signifies that they are cold in personality obviously because they're a villain. Same with Mallory's blue battle costume.
I assume that perhaps this 'photo-pigmentation' also affects the eyes. Perhaps it works for some of the 'Tics and not the others because the peeps whom it effects asked Tech (or whoever designed and manifactured the suits. i personally always assumed that Tech was behind this, but perhaps Zadavia had it prepared, which would also be a good explanation, because if it's too far-fetched for ppl to believe that photo-pigmentation has been grasped by scientists of any era, then maybe they'd be able to take hold of the concept that an advanced alien race can do it. I think i'm rambling now...) to modify their suits to make it so their eyes change colour.
Slam pro'lly had it done 'coz, let's face it, Tazzie Devils are scary in and of themselves... one in a black suit with black eyes would just appear as the ant-hero and cause ppl to run in the opposite direction. And Lexi and Tech pro'lly just wanted a change. ^_^
Just my two cents. =3
