You're going to have to wait a little longer than that for the book. J.K. Rowling's website says that book 7 will be released the July 21st. July 13th is when the movie comes out. Still, two Harry Potter events in the same month!

I'm not really that interested in Harry Potter. I just can't concentrate long enough to even read the first page. And I just think the films are boring and that all the other Potter movies make the first one look like dirt. No offence I'm sorry but that's just my view. Feel free to tell me off for my negative opinion on Harry Potter.

I like the HP books, but I'm not "OMGHARRYPOTTEROMGLIEKSQEEEE!!!1" into them.

By the way, the last book will be called "Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows". (Wow, that is like, so creative. [/deadpan]) I was watching the BBC news like, three months ago, and heard the title (then an aquaintance in London confirmed it in her LJ, so that quelled my doubts about the crappy title... unfortunately).

Just posting to ressurrect an older topic, seeing as July is truly Harry Potter month. The 5th movie is coming out in 5 days (Huzzah!) and the 7th book shall be released a week later on the 21st. Even as we speak, there are already writers hard at work coming out with potential scripts for the 6th movie. Anyone as excited as me about these releases?! Anyone going to cosplay at midnight?

And like the news anchors at Halloween, I am here to provide an advanced PSA in regards to fans who will be getting their book at a store. Be on the lookout for jerks who like to get their jollies by spoiling the ending for fans. One person did this last year and sparked a growing fad amonst people who have nothing else better to do.

So if you really really really hate to be spoiled, be on the lookout and bring a walkman or an ipod with you when you go to pick up your book (make sure to crank up the volume to a high level, preferably one that could potentially destroy your hearing aww). Just make sure to also bring along a trusted friend or parent who will keep an eye on you so you don't wander into oncoming traffic while heavy metal is blasting into your skull wink

I also read the book a week ago but I didn't want to say anything just in case you haven't read it yet. Some things I expected and I like the twist with Dumbledore's background. Great book.
