HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!!!!!! OMGOMGOMGOMGOMGOMGOMGOMGOMGOMGOMGOMGOMGOMGOMGOMGOMGOMGOMGOMGOMGOMGOMG!!!!!!!!! you guys make me laugh like Akira_cat!!!!!!!! *clings onto Akira_cat* I will now attach myself to you until you make that fanfic of Tech's lost voice!!!! Although I'll be holding my Super Coyote Warrior Sword which will make me very easy to shake of...... *giggle* Lassie Tech *giggle* Why was I here in the first place? Oh yeah!!! Has anyone seen the new comercial for LU wth Tech? I did *sigh* *swoon* Oh, and lots of people seem to think that Tech's molecular regeneration will eventually run out. Do you think that's possible?
What new commercial with Tech?! Tells me! I must know!
And i don't think Tech's molecular regeneration will run out, how would that be possible even? His moleclar regeneration just seems to come into effect like a natural reflex whenever he takes on physical damage.
I've never understood why networks put their international affiliates so out of sync with a show's "home" market. I guess it's no different than the new Doctor Who series, though - IIRC, season 3 in the UK, season 2 in the U.S., and season 1 in Canada. So dumb...
The commercial on YouTube would be amazing. Let's hope somebody had their TiVo going. :D

Jus to clear my mind, did anyone else see that comercial? Was I halucinating Tech starring in his own comercial since their individual shots? It was about 15 min. before 8:00 during Krypto the Superdog. I swear I wasn't wathcing Krypto. I was bored at 7:30 and read with the t.v. on 0 volume, and I happened to catch the dancing WB alien which meant (1) LOSH comercial, or (2) LU comercial.
NEVER MIND!!!!! As of March 24, 2007, the comercial is now on kidswb.com. Go to kidswb.com, click enter, and wait for the video on the main page to go up. It SHOULD be the ad I was talking about. I just rewatched it, and I got SO many of the quotes wrong *is brik'd*
I've seen it now too! YEY! Tech gets a commecial! He sounded so hunky and cool! Oh happy days!
Stella pointed out on TV.com how the clip of the 3rd invention Tech was about to mention before he was cut off by Ace was probably not from any of the eps we've seen up to date, so presumably, it was a clip from one of the finale eps? It was the really brief clip with Rev and where Tech was on his hoverbike and wearing his white riding helmet whilst lifting a "neuron ionizer"(?). Any thoughts on this anyone?
Lexi: One question: Why`d I have to be the damsel-in-distress? For Tech anyway? I thought Ace was supposed to be the hero always rushing to save...never mind.
Hmmm... it seems to me that Lexi has been sort of like the Damsel in Distress. Not that I mind of course. And do you mind not holding onto my leg Zadavia's Spirit!? I gotta use that to walk!
ZS: Not until you make that fan fic where Tech loses his voice!
Me: I'm working on another fan fic at the moment so please! Get off!
Tries and fails to shake Zadavia's Spirit off my leg and as I try to walk, I drag ZS behind me.
*chokes on dirt after being dragged by akira_cat* *finds resemblance to that scene in Family Buisness hat is currently by desktop background* Just a random question, how is it that Tech's tail is never blasted off when they start the jetpacks? I became extremely aware of it in Acmegeddon Part 1 when they show the sequence of starting the jet packs. If Tech exploded and each fangirl got a piece of him, I would grab (a) his voicebox, then (b) his tail. IT'S SO FLUFFY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! And sorry for pestering you about the fanfic, Akira. I'm just glad you wrote the Deuce/Optimatus/TRAIN story. *laughs when remembers story*
I guess Tech just keeps his tail very flat when his jetpack is activated! He! He! He! The music in that Tech commercial was rather funky don't you all think?
zadavias_spirit wrote:And sorry for pestering you about the fanfic, Akira. I'm just glad you wrote the Deuce/Optimatus/TRAIN story. *laughs when remembers story*
No! I don't mean to upset you! But I am glad you found my Optimatus and Deuce train story funny though. I just want to do things one step at a time. Otherwise I'd get so many deadlines, I wouldn't be able to finish them all.
Looks at piles upon piles of coursework.
Shame my coursework can't be the same as these fan fictions.
Thanks I wonder what the extent of Tech's metal powers are? He seemed to have no trouble lifting the elevator with him and the other 'ticsin it, so maybe the mass of the object/metal doesn't matter. So if this theory is true, Tech can lift an elephant as long as it's standing on a paper clip. *gasp* THAT MEANS TECH HAS SUPER STRENGTH!!! *melts* Flexa: You're overreacting again. Me: Am I? Oh. *drags Flexa* Guys, here's my conscience, Flexa. I made her in the role-play section, but I brought her here to keep me sane so I don't ramble. Flexa: *uncomfortable* Please don't drag me to meet all these ppl...... Me: I will, or I'll tell them your crush!! Flexa: You wouldn't... Me: FLEXA'S IN LOVE WITH...... Flexa: *hits z_s on the head with SCWS* Yeah....so.......funny thing with Tech's metal bending powers, huh?
I've wondered about the capacity of Tech's electromagnetism before as well. He has been shown to control metal objects much larger than himself, like the metal tower he crushed into a ball in "Weathering Heights" and the giant robo-amigo's arm that he stopped in mid-swing. I think he is quite capable of manipulating metal objects several times his size with relative ease, which i suppose could constitute a form of super strength.
I also wonder about how he materializes those shields from "The Comet Cometh" and "The Music Villain". Apparently Tech has learnt to channel his EM powers creatively to form simple structures like his EM forcefields. Too bad we don't see more of that.
I also read in a little description of Tech before that he can scramble electronics. We've never seen him do that in the show and i'd really like to see it!
It's also crossed my mind before that he may be able to generate electromagnetic pulses that can knock out electrical activity for a period of time as well.
Being able to produce magnetic fields would certainly allow him to disrupt electronics, and an EMP would just be an extension of that. It would come in pretty handy if they were fighting a villain who was heavily reliant on technology.

Yes! Ideas for season 3! Some explanation and development of Tech's powers!
It has been indicated that Tech is capable of doing more with his EM powers than just lifting and bending metal objects. I'd really like to see more about the different ways in which Tech can wield his EM powers.
I also think there's more to be said about Tech's molecular regenration. I had a theory that it could grant him immortality in the same way that Wolverine's healing powers prevent him from naturally ageing.

There once was a bit of a conversation going about, with WB spying on us and taking ideas to put into the S2 episodes, actually. XD We put on tinfoil hats to stop them.
Well i certainly don't mind WB taking some of the ideas that us fans come up with and incorporating them into the show! We generate some very good ideas here! Now if only they could green light a S3!
I don't mind...if they would tell us that they were taking ideas and give credit! X_x It's called "intellectual property" or something like that...like I Am Slamacus that was like your fanfic, miss Oracle!
I'm sure they weren't intentionally copying some of my fic ideas for "I Am Slamacus". It was just a coincidence that there were similarities. But i was actually quite pleased to see those similarities! Oh how i'd loved to be writing LU eps for WB! *Dreams away.*

I suppose that's possible, but I disagree. I'm purely speculating here, but I suspect it's limited mostly to physical injuries. Even the name implies that - Tech suffers some sort of trauma, he regenerates the affected area at the molecular level. Wolverine's abilities also protect him from disease and toxins, but there's nothing to suggest that Tech can do that. To prevent aging, Tech's regen process would probably have to be working continuously (which would probably afford the heightened immune system, too), but it's a power that he only activates when needed, which appears to take a good bit out of him.
From a character function POV, if Tech was essentially immortal and impervious to harm, where's the threat from a villain? Sure, the other 'tics and the citizens of Acmetropolis would be in peril, but the sense of drama and excitement is still spoiled. (It should be noted that I've never cared much for Marvel or D.C. or their style of superheroes. )
Looking at what I have seen and read so far, Kaejae's handling of Tech's regeneration stands out as the best, I think.
No tin foil hats! Credit for ideas is great (and certainly deserved), but wouldn't you rather have the show continue without it than not at all? XP It's really too bad they don't have some of us writing for them. There's a lot of talent floating around on this board.

I don' think Tech's molecular regeneration would be seen to grant him immortality on the show either, but it's a logical consequence i could envision. If Tech can regenerate a completely new body from ashes, why would he not be doing so in his later years still? His body cells could be renewed every time he takes on physical damage and he'd be good as new after each injury! Ahh, complicated! I dunno, it just struck me as a cool idea.
Didn't mean to stomp on your theory, just trying to explain my reasoning. I guess my "Eww! Marvel Comics! " reaction made it come out harsher than I wanted it to.
Anyhoo, I've always thought that the regeneration process would return him to the state he was in immediately before an injury, aged or otherwise, i.e. repairing the damage without doing a complete cellular overhaul. What's a good analogy... ... A half-rotten piece of wood: You break the piece of wood in two. A regen mechanism kicks in and repairs the break, but doesn't go over every part of the wood's structure to undo the rotting.
Complicated is right! I think I've mentioned before on other threads how unrealistically the circumstances leading to regeneration are handled on the show (like being reduced to ash or goo w/eyeballs), and trying to look at it in a logical manner doesn't really work so well. *shrug*

Oh no Ski, i didn't think you were stomping on my theory about Tech's regen powers! I welcome your reasonings. And they probably are more closer to the nature of Tech's powers on the show. I just like the idea of Tech suffering the consequence of immortality from his regenerative powers. I have this image in my head of Tech being the last Loonatic alive years after the passing of the others, simply because he can't kill himself!
I can't help it. I always like to envision my fave characters in tragic scenarios! I think it gives them lots of character depth and opportunity for development! I'm sorry Tech, but i love torturing you in my creative mind! Waaahhh!
Ya, a lot of my story ideas involve Tech being hit around alot. Physically and emotionally. Two of mine involve Lexi, one each of Ace, Duck and Slam, and I have a comical one for Rev. I'm not gonna spoil my ideas, you'll just have to be patient!

You know, maybe it's because I haven't put much thought into it, but I too naturally assumed Tech was possibly immortal. Reading Skifox's theories however, I have to say i agree completely.
To me the fact he can only regenerate to the state he was right before an injury, is much more plausible, not to mention it's only fair to the rest of the team. Aside of the fact that immortality is too cruel to my eyes, somehow I don't think the others'd get along with an immortal teammate (ok maybe they would, but there'd always be a bit of jelousy for this ability). Tech's already the one who gets zapped the most, if he was truly immortal I think they'd become a protective shield to the team, often sacrificing himself to save the others. I see this as an easy way out of a bad situation, and that's not good imho.
But then...he already does this sometimes. Today they aired Weathering Heights again and I noticed that at one point, he attracts the thunders on him with an extension from his jet pack, in order to protect the others. I can't believe I missed that the first time around, heh!
