Oh Rye! I'm so sorry to hear about your friendship troubles! I hope it's resolved amicably soon! Sounds like perhaps your friend is not sure where she wants to be in terms of friendship. She's probably in alot of conflict with herself and hence is feeling depressed and acting erractically. You can only hope that she comes to her senses in time i suppose. She probably needs some space and time alone to think to herself right now. Just let her be for a while until she's in a state in which you can sensibly converse with her. Hopefully things will get better for both of you! *Hugs Rye.*
Simple really... I'm losing a friend over something ridiculous that she's overreacting to because she can't accept honesty. A couple of months ago she decided to change herself to fit in more with the popular crowd and now she's trying to make herself into the victim, claiming that I secretly hate her or something. It bugs me. Since she's being so fake I'm wondering if she was ever even friends with me in the first place or if the only reason is because she takes for granted that I help her with English. I don't want to stop being friends with her but the way she's acting it makes it pretty hard for me not to... I mean, honestly, she's refused to come to school this entire week simply because she's "depressed" over all this. -shakes head- Man, why must people be so sensitive? xx;
But what's worse is that the depression has killed off my inspiration. I can't write with no inspiration. I'm having writer's block on the third chapter of In Acme We Trust now. =/
Really? -snug- Well, my favorite is Rev. His hyperness cheers me up everytime I watch LU. And that's really sweet of you to offer. ^ ^; -sends virtual hug-

Kinda reminds me of my own 'friend'. Kinda.
Ada refuses to recognize that her former friends are being annoyed. She must have been really desperate to talk to me, as I was one of the most unpopular kids back in elementary school. But she did, and I listened to her for as long as I could handle it.
Problem: I can't handle it.
The only reason I think she talks to me is to get closer to one of my best friends, Jacovie. (Yes, he's real!) She makes such a big deal out of things - when I critisized her online, thinking that she wouldn't see, she called me and started crying and everything. And do you know how she found the page I posted it on? She searched up 'Ada Jacovie' on Google.
I was too nice to say that she was stalker-ish and freaking almost everyone out. So, instead of saying it, I typed it on my deviantART journal.
Being the weird stalker-ish girl that she is, she tracked down me and Jacovie's usernames on deviantART and watched us.
You can tell how we reacted.
On that account, she claimed that she wasn't Ada and that she was 'Princess Zuki'. I was doubtful, but Jacovie said his 'sources' said that princesszuki wasn't Ada. I believed him.
Of course, it turned out that it was Ada all along.
She makes herself sound like a misunderstood girl who is shunned by all - and I bet all of that is true. My schedule and mindset prevents me from taking this from her point of view, so I can't tell if my own reactions are okay or not.
In a way, I guess I'm losing a 'friend' too, over something pretty silly and 'cause she's overreacting. I don't feel like I'm overreacting at all, seeing that I barely think about this.
Black Oracle: Thanks. ^ ^; I've been trying to work things out with her but the way things stand right now... I think our friendship is through. I'm kind of okay with that though. The way she's acting and who she's become, I'd be wasting my time to stress myself out over her anymore. She craves attention and I intend not to give it to her any longer. She has her posse to do that. Anyways, I'll have to see what comes of all this...
the oddity: Woah. That girl sounds... deranged. OO; She also sound somewhat like she has no life, to have the time on her hands to stalk people. That sucks to be dealing with such a crazy person. D: -hugs Friday- =]
Well Rye, if you think she's just too difficult a person to handle now, then you're probably doing the best thing. Just letting her do what she wants with herself and getting on with your own life. Sometimes that's just the way some friendships end i guess, sad as it may sound. But if she was really such a bother to you, at least now you can move on uninhibited by her.

That's just the thing though. When she's really /herself/, we get along great, we have awesome times. But fake as she is around her "new friends," I can't stand her. She confuses me... she says one thing with her words but the complete opposite with her actions. Ridiculous teenage angst. This whole thing is so clique. x__x; I can't wait to graduate next year. High school is so overrated. oo;
I'm 'oddy' now? Sounds like some sort of name I'd give an Oddish. XD (Obscure Pokemon joke!)
Yes, Ada sounds 'deranged'. XD Many people get that impression when they first hear about her from me.
Don't pay your 'friend' too much attention, Rye! She'll get what she deserves later! And as long as she doesn't drag you into anything or does anything to you, then you should just stop paying attention!
the_oddity wrote:Don't pay your 'friend' too much attention, Rye! She'll get what she deserves later! And as long as she doesn't drag you into anything or does anything to you, then you should just stop paying attention!
...I suck at advice.
You don't suck at advice. =] You're right. And I shall do just that. ...As soon as I get my calculator back from her. x3 She's just another lesson learned the hard way. At least it's now easy enough to count off the people who really matter on my fingers. o_o; 'Course, one of those "people" is my hamster, but hey... ;3 -luffs hamster- Still, I don't believe I've seen the last of that girl. No matter. With a little inspiration, I should be good to go... -searches for inspiration-
X3 I had a friend like that. It ended up in our final year, we barely spoke... Maybe the occasional "Hey" in the halls, or when she wanted help with something... But after that, we lost contact for 4 years...
Rye - I had a friend who was my bestest bud all through year 7, but by the time year 8 rocked around... I couldn't stand her moodiness, and she would always write me notes telling me how she wanted to kill herself and how she wanted to cut herself and it was driving me insane... I couldn't help and it hurt me so much! then I realised that it was all justa cry for attention, so I left the friendship... It was healthier for me that way, and although that sounds a little selfish and self-centered, I have a right to look out for me... and it was ok, 'coz she eventually found a new 'bum-buddy' (so we call them) about three days after I stopped talking to her...
But it's ok, just hang back until she comes to be her old self again, Rye! And be happy, coz that Rev picture is coming along very nicely! ^_^
Oddiy - Tell Jacovie to date her... coz at least you know that stalkers are committed! XD Not really; hunt her down and spit in her eye!!! lolz! STALKING STALKERS!!! XDDD J/k
Skifox - "frontal access port"??? X3 You're my HERO!!!!!!! *hearts*

It actually IS a frontal access port... X3 well, sorta...
see, I figured that such an outfit would be a zip-up... cos zips are so fun when they catch your fur... XDDD
And then I thought that the triangle would look dumb with a zip down the middle... so I made it so that the triangle would fold and clip *over* the zip... then I thought that it would look better if I did the same thing with his neck and... um... nether regions... XD
Then I thought that maybe each fold-over-button-up-bit would have extra padding in it, considering that they were assituated at the neck, chest and crotch... ya know, extra protection... ^_^
I also gave them shoulder pads... coz shoulder pads are hawt! X3
I like messing around with uniforms on shows! I do it wiht SWAT Kats and Biker Mice and Class of the Titans and it's great fun!!! *hearts*
question, what does your siggie say???

Believe me, zippers down there can be absolutely evil sometimes! EVIL I tell you! XP
I thought about saying *tries to get in* in the original post, but decided that was too close to the expression "trying to get in his pants", which I guess would apply, wouldn't it? I'm so bad. ^_^;;
My sig's pretty sappy, actually. It says "Ah, Tech. You warm my heart like a summer's day..."

Yeah... Maggie has been a little like that too. She says because of this she's suicidal and the other day on her Myspace profile she wrote, "You would love me if you only knew how much I hated myself." Her attitude is really pushing me away. Today she says she's coming to school so I'm going to do my best to be tactful yet honest and hopefully she'll get the point and move on. I'm just worried because I have a lot of connections through her and my parents think that if I break off our friendship, that's gonna 'cause problems for our family. She's turned this into such a big mess. Before she decided to be a drama queen, there wasn't a problem. /Now/ there's a problem.
Anyways, thank you. A lot. -hug- You cheer me up. :D Actually by talking to you I was inspired for an LU oneshot. I started writing it last night. Hopefully I can finish it up when I get home tonight. But for now... I've gotta go in 15 minutes. So I better scram. -runs off-

Frontal access what?! You dirty dirty-minded people!.....I like the way you think! Now i don't feel so guilty looking at Tech's lower regions at times....
Tech looks girly... I think I gave him too much of a feminine figure... O_o
OMG! Razor and Tech! I've always wanted to see the two of them in a pic! Two of my all time favourites! Uber coolness! He! He! Yes, you'd be inclined to think that a cat and a canine wouldn't get on too well! And 'moofax'! LOL! I'm still not entirely used to that term yet. But if Tech and Razor could ever team up, there'd be very few villains that could escape the wrath of their combined advanced technology and weaponry. Go Tech and Razor! *Shakes pom poms.*

I tend to think that alot of the times when people talk about wanting to hurt themselves, it's primarily for attention and the sympathy of others, but they don't realise that it's a big deterrent for friends. It is really off-putting to others if one goes about with the whole 'I hate myself' act. It just makes that person seem so selfish and self-absorbed in their own depressed little world, and few people are gonna want to be friends with a person like that. Perhaps the best thing to do really to discourage that kind of behaviour is to not give the person any attention for it. Hopefully, if they can see their way out of their 'boxed perspective' in time, they'll realsie that the 'poor, misunderstood' person act is not effective in keeping friends.

O.o Stalking a stalker to spit in her eye? That's easy enough... -gets ready to go to Chinatown- Wait, she's not out of school yet... -sits back down-
He doesn't seem girly to me. His hips and legs are a little on the full side, when when he normally has such narrow hips and that flat, chisled butt........... aheh, sorry, I got distracted there for a second. ^ ^;;;

Ehehe. XD Sweeeet dreams, kaejae. Oh, and you're an Ace fangirl aren't you? I should inform you then that the story I spoke of involved Ace in a later chapter...
...but I'm being distracted by my friend, who's being buggered (lol buggered) by my other friend's crazy stalker-fangirl. I believe I've talked about her enough...

And... OH! I did read this fic already! Hehe!
It was an interesting story, h'm? =3
Man, one of my best friends is suddenly depressed and it's killing me. xx; I need to cheer her up... but I don't even know what to say to her. -sigh- I wish depression would just die. oo; Curse you, teenage angst.
And interesting you say that about your friend. Is she actually clinically diagnosed with depression? Or is she havin' one of them melancholy days? Ah learned in psych class today that we over use the diagnosis of depression for feeling sad. So one person's view of dression might be simply feeling sad, where as another who is actually diagnosed with it tends to see that there's nothing to live for, followed by suicidal tendencies... <_< >_>
O_O I did pay attention while drawing chibis in class today!

I don't know with her. =/ She seems to fall into depression quite often. Even when she's happy, she's never really off the wall hyper like I am when I'm actually happy. I think perhaps she's prone to depression but she's not actually medically diagnosed with it. It's hard to tell but I sure hope she's not suicidal. If she died... man, I think I'd die of missing her. What worries me is that she's such an awesome artist and she just told me that she wants to draw but everything is coming out "ugly or stupid or lifeless." She's never described her drawings like that. She's so passionate about art. I wish I knew how to cheer her up but it's really hard to hug someone over MSN.
Gah. I can't wait till I can say that. xD "Ah yes, back in high school..." Hehe.
I think that's partially the problem. But anyways, she said talking to me made her feel better so I'm glad. ^ ^; Although... I don't see myself as much help. Oh well. I have made it my goal to make her smile this week so I need to write something touching... -plots- x3
Sometimes, just being there is good enough for a friend Rye. You may not know of anything particularly great to say to her, but i'm sure your presence and listening ear will already mean much to your friend!
Black Oracle wrote: Sometimes, just being there is good enough for a friend Rye. You may not know of anything particularly great to say to her, but i'm sure your presence and listening ear will already mean much to your friend!
Yup, very true. And I'm glad of that... because when it comes to my friends having problems, I'm not much help in the advice category. My shoulder is always ready to cry on though. Anyways, I'm off to bed... my head is really starting to kill me. Evil fever. I don't want to be sick. Px
Me too, to a certain extent. I always manage to keep my friends laughing when I'm with them. I amuse them with my rambling. x3
But it's harder with my friend, Haru. I've known her for three years but I've never met her face-to-face. She lives in Nova Scotia and I'm all the way in Alberta.
I write stuff for my online friends. =3 Sometimes I draw stuff but I don't really have a scanner handy at moment and besides... writing is more my thing. I'm not bad at drawing but when I draw, the pencil has a mind of its own, where as I'm more able to control what I write.
Wow. So much... passion. I remember Doma. She's really cool. But since she was invovled in an incident on TV.com, she doesn't come here much. Me and my sis still talk to her over the net but I don't know of her where abouts.
Incident!? What incident!? Do you mean that...squabble I had with her, a few months back? If so, I`m still sorry for what I said. I miss Doma too, to tell you the truth. I still thank the heavens that she got out of that hospitalization in good condition. I hope she didn`t leave because of me!?

I don't think you have to worry yourself about that Crossfire. I'm aware that she's a LoSH fan now as well, so i think she's probably spending more time over at a LoSH forum somewheres. She seemed content enough in the last couple of posts i saw from her on TV.com a little while ago.
