S2 finale predictions?

I've been thinking back over some of the main character themes and issues of this 2nd season so far and trying to figure out how it could all be contributing to the final ep(s) of the season.

I'm starting to really think that maybe all the heavy Duck annoyance is perhaps a setup for something between him and Ace in the finale? Not necessarily a rivalry, but an unexpected cooperation of this duo that would result in them both finally gaining more respect and appreciation for one another? And Lexi maybe getting a healthy spotlighting too in preparation for something between her and Ace in the finale as well? (Like the developing roots of a romance? )

Slam, Tech and Rev, maybe not much going on for them so far in the big picture, but if we're lucky, they'll still have a significant role to play in the finale. Or could it be, that Tech and Rev's noticeably portrayed opposition in this 2nd season so far is also leading to something between them at the end of the season as well?! Maybe they too will have to learn to put aside their dissagreements and work more cooperatively for something? That, or maybe one of them goes to an unexpected extent to save the other from danger?

I dunno, just musing over these thoughts. Anyone else have any other 'feelings' for what issues may come up between the Loonatics in the 2nd season finale?

Well, after "The Music Villain", there are only two episodes left (13 episodes per season right?). Hopefully, it'll be another 2-parter. I think we'll finally see an official goodbye to Zadavia as their chief. She hasn't been seen since "Heir Up There" after all.

Maybe for the finale, they will say good-bye to Zadavia as she returns to the planet Freling. Villains like Pierre, Sam, Sylth Vester, and Marvin will team up under the employment of someone (Deuce, Optimatus, or Grannicus) to steal the Guardian Strike Sword. We already saw what powers it is capable of, and it is used more as the season goes on.

Well, I'd like to see a return of Optimatus and Deuce, who seem prime candidates for a return. Optimatus is at the opposite end of the universe with no ride back, and Deuce is trapped on an interdimensional train that can go anywhere and anytime. I can see Deuce running into Optimatus and giving him a way to come back and cause trouble. Then they just need a supplier for weapons and what not, since the two of them have lost their robot armies. Optimatus can use his laser power on his own, but seemed to rely on the work of underlings for a majority of the time. And Deuce only has a shield. . . I think. I forget if it was broken or not in SGSS.

Gee, get rid of Zadavia? I dunno, i mean i know she's been missing for alot of this season, but surely they wouldn't eject her from the show just yet? The Loonatics still need financial backing! LOL!

I think the finale will be another 2-parter. Otherwise why cut off after the 11th episode "The Music Villain"? They must be saving the finale eps for April or May?

It may be a 2 parter, or it may be just 2 single episodes. And if they don't bother showing Zadavia anymore, at least give her a proper send off. Don't let her go upstairs to the attic and never let her come down. If they want to keep her, show her. Otherwise, give her a proper ending and find another backer for the Loonatics. . .or give them jobs with paychecks.

Deuce i feel is a strong candidate for a finale return as well, his ending in SotGSS seemed 'unfinished' and 'unconcluded'. There was space left for more with Deuce plot-wise. Optimatus i'm still pondering over, they could bring him in, or they could just leave him out of S2 completely. If Optimatus is involved, i'm sure that also would signal Zadavia's involvement as well again. But i'm bearing in mind that the writers would probably be trying to go with something very different and new rather than something too familiar.

I know I've said this before, but what about a new gang comprised of all the human LT characters? Sam, Electro, Rocky and Mugsy decide to join forces as their own team against the Loonatics.  I haven't decided about Pierre or Grannicus yet. They don't seem to fit for some reason, but I suppose they could also be included.

That's the other possibility i pondered over for a S2 finale, a team-up of some sort of the LT villains so far shown this season. But then i thought that may be a little too similar story-wise to the villain team-up of S1's "Acmegeddon" finale. But i guess they'd have to bring back some familiar faces for the final eps of the season, they can't just be introducing another completely new villain for the finale. Unless they come up with a concept of something primordial that threatens the universe, like a planet-eater or something, but that's going out of usual LU territory me thinks...

Well, the team up in Acmegeddon was more temporary since Optimatus was pulling the strings behind them. I think maybe if the (let's just say) 4 members teamed up for a more permanent gang that could potentially return for season 3, it would be cool.

I do think the idea of a permanent rival gang could be interesting. It all really depends on how they are executed in the plot. No good if they're all just a bunch of dim-witted, trigger-happy fools. I need to see organization, planning and cleverness from villain(s) that make it into the finale eps.

Heh, or maybe the Loonatics finally notice that Zadavia hasn't been around and decide to investigate what happened to her. And perhaps Optimatus had something to do with her disappearance...

<_< >_> This could make an interesting 2 parter...

Hmm... why does Ace sacrificing himself for Lexi spring into my mind? And why does Duck turning evil spring to mind too. None of the other Loonatics has been turned evil except for Tech, but only because he was under mind-control so does that count?

I can see the return of many villains and without a doubt, I have a feeling Ace would not only the the star of the show, but he will discover a lot more powers from the GSS. And for some reason, I'm thinking he may not be from Acmetropolis but he was the son of the warrior who had the GSS before it was passed onto him. If this prediction isn't in this ep then I'll make a fan fic out of it. Seems a good idea to me.

That's an interesting idea for Ace, his father being the last possessor of the GSS. That would certainly open up an interesting family history surrounding Ace. And if it were true, it would involve a whole new world being opened up to Ace and Ace fulfilling his true destiny with the sword. I think that's a very possible idea for the S2 finale ep(s)! Somehow the GSS will be heavily involved in the finale eps i think, with more of its mysteries and great powers being unlocked for Ace. Maybe Ace might get some kind of power boost from the sword of something! Then that'd be a 'new power' he inherits! Like Duck's aqua-dense and Lexi's brain-blasts underwater. Didn't some people once report seeing a commercial right back when S2 was just about to begin airing that involved 'Ace with glowing hands'? I do recall that, and so far, i haven't seen Ace with glowing hands yet in any of the eps.

Yeah I remember something being said about Ace's glowing hands. I think I'd faint if my prediction was right.

If Ace is indeed to receive new powers or a power boost of some sort, then maybe Slam, Rev and Tech migh also follow suit as well? Or at least like Lexi and Duck, maybe they'll learn to channel their current powers in diferent ways? That would be interesting to see.

Well if Slam, Rev and Tech follow the suit, I think the powers will be as follows:

Rev- Being able to control fire: Come on! Rev needs some attack to cause damage.

Slam- Rolls himself up into a cannon ball shape and is able to roll really fash like Sonic the hedgehog?: He seems to have the potential shape for it.

Tech- Going through walls like a ghost?

Well, i don't think they'd get completely new powers like those, but they could get 'extensions' of their current powers, like maybe Tech would learn how to generate EMP blasts or waves to knock out all power within a certain radius or maybe he could learn to magnetise himself to metal surfaces (as was once suggested by Crossfire). Rev could finally reach speeds fast enough to generate fiery heat from his body, giving him a fiery form. Slam, well, i'm not sure yet.

Speaking of the Loonatics' powers, have we ever seen Tech once regenerate himself from any injury this season yet? I don't think so. I'm thinking the writers may have been neglecting that particular power of his. Actually, Tech hasn't used his magnetic powers all that much either, he's always been relying on his inventions mostly this season. Are the writers just being forgetful about Tech's powers? Or is there something going on with Tech? Hmmm...

Ah! *waves hand wildly in the air* Yeah yeah. They haven't once this season. And I really do want to see it more, mostly because I'd like to see a larger variety of what Tech can do with that power. So far he's only used it when reduced to ash. But could he, for example, heal broken bones? Flesh wounds? Maybe even apply that energy to other people? I assume so for the first two, but I'd like to see some confirmation. Of course, being a kids show, it's probably not likey. But its nice to dream.

I'd like to see more of what kind of physical punishments Tech can take as well. I expect that he could regenerate from and heal laceration wounds and broken limbs of any sort too, coz when you think about it, those kinds of injuries aren't half as serious as being reduced completely to ash! But i'd like to see some instances of these in the show at some point too, tho' as you say animefangirl, we probably wouldn't see it directly on-screen since LU is supposed to be aimed at younger kids. Oh well...at least they could hint at it maybe?

They already have. Remember the Wile E. Coyote homage in The Family Business? A fall like that would have to break every bone in Tech`s body (for the first two times he actually fell).

You'd think that in Cape Duck, if Stomper did manage to injure Tech, Tech could've just regenerated -- rather than freaking out along with Danger ;)

That's what a couple of people had been saying about that ep. Theoretically, Stomper's metal arms should have been susceptible to Tech's electromagnetic powers, so Tech at least should have been able to defend himself against Stomper, plus, Tech's regenerative powers really should make Tech less inhibited about enduring physical damage, coz he wil always heal himself again. That's why some fans were saying that Tech was a little out of character in "Cape Duck", and i kinda have to agree in regards to his fear of the Stomper. Though he did have some good moments before he became Stomper's 2nd target, like when he took down Dr. Dare!

I suppose, but that was rather ambiguous. We never actually saw any sign of Tech's molecular regeneration coming into effect so far this season. I really would like to see Tech using his regenerative powers in a non-comical context sometimes.

I still theorize that Stomper`s limbs were made of a non-magnetic metalloid, rather than metal itself, like ceramics or silica (also known as silicon dioxide). If Stomepr`s limbs were made of a material Tech could not manipulate (and he kenw this), then he has every darn right to be afraid because even though Stomper probably couldn`t kill him, would you want to have your entire body broken (or worse) time and time again?

LOL! Probably not. But if Tech couldn't feel the pain, but yet still regenerate, that'd be real funny to watch XD

I think that's the one thing Tech's regenerative powers overlook, the 'pain factor'. Tech can regenerate himself from the most serious physical injuries, but he still feels pain like anyone else would. Tho' in my opinion, it would only be a matter of time and experiencing great pain time and time again before Tech finally develops an endurance and resistance to the excruciating pain of most physical injuries and wounds. By that time, he'd be so used to being reduced to ashes or falling from great heights that the pain would just not seem as, well, 'painful' as before.

Maybe it ends up being transferred into some or all of the other Loonatics, hence giving them power boosts or new powers! Like i said, random wild idea...

That's what i was thinking. As soon as they get back and figure out how to release Zadavia's powers stored in that guitar thing i think.

Will there be other episodes in between The Music Villain and the season finale(s)? Or are there officially only 13 episodes per season?

Hi there Zadavias spirit! Welcome to LUO!

I believe there are only 13 eps per season. So there should be two more eps to go after "The Music Villain".

I have a feeling we might see the season 2 villains. SO far, everything in the theme song came true:

Ace vs Sam
Lexi using brainblast against Dare's rockbots.
Tech defeating Melvin (or his technology did)
Slam vs. Gorlop
Ace using the Guardian Strike Sword against Sylth Vester

You can bet that Pierre, Melvin, Sam, and a few other villains will be back.

Maybe the Cuuriunm from "In The Pinkster" will come back. Probably unlikely, but I don't see how they can leave a rock that can delete the Loonatics' powers alone in the show.

Maybe Tech will end up sacrificing his own powers to save Ace`s or one of the others`. It`s not like he uses them much anymore anyway, and it`d also take away his immortality, thus making him a little more interesting (for example, he can actually die now, thus warranting reactions such as those in Cape Duck).

Now that is an interesting thought. It would be interesting if it returned to aid the baddies in the season finale. Or at least return perhaps in the next season, since you make a good point. Something like that can't just be introduced and never heard of again.
