He's kind of laid back. Doesn't seem to be one who likes causing destruction (if you don't count mind control). Maybe more telepathetic, like the power of suggestion ala Jedi Mind Tricks (tm)

I think the 'laid back' attitude was a front for more unhappy, frustrated feelings inside with Rip. He was probably always so used to being ignored by his family that he became indifferent to the world around him; if his closest ones wouldn't pay him attention, then he wouldn't pay others much either, and loss of motivation was an inevitable result.
So if you're trying to think of a suitable super power for Rip, i'd go with something that either portrays his true inner emotions, or something that represents his 'bottled up' nature. Maybe some form of telepathy that can create mental shielding not only of his own thoughts, but of others', and that can inhibit thought processes in minds to cause difficulty in cognitions. Or maybe invisibility? So he can appear and disappear out of unwanted situations.
I would say telekinesis, but Tech's already got that. Maybe whenever he touches an object that is personal to someone else, he has brief visions of the past, present or future. Or just good old telepathy.
D= I wanna see the second season. I want to know what's so fascinating about Rip. o: I hope season two airs on Teletoon soon. Silly Canada... we always get everything late. =3 Or maybe I just live under a rock and that is why I never heard of LU until December even though /apparently/ it came out in 2005. -shakes head- How sad. When did Tech get telekinesis? He has electromagnetic powers and regeneration, but that's it.

I just thought he had telekinetic type powers because on this site and the Kids WB site, for the character blogs it said something about Tech having telekinesis but I'm not sure. I better check it out.

Tech just has electromagnetic powers that allow him to manipulate and levitate metal objects, along with molecular regeneration.
