After the last chapter, we can see a jealous Duck... maybe he love the attention, but it make me thing that those can be a good pairing.... (but I still want Duck/lexi pairing)...
Do you thing that can happen... those two together???... and why??? or why not???
I tend to think that Duck just wants to kiss up to Zadavia in an attempt to gain more recognition and praise from her, though often unsucessfully. He just wants to be given more importance and status in the team, and Zadavia as the their higher ranking benefactor, is a means for him to attain his desired goals.
Most of time, Duck is self-obssessed and egocentric, but he must care deep down a bit for his team mates surely considering he's worked with them for a while.

I agree with that assessment.
IMHO, for Duck to be a superhero he has to have some level of caring in his psyche, mostly likely buried deep under his huge over-inflated ego. (I wish Danger Duck could have a tête-à-tête with Darkwing Duck. )
I can only speculate that Duck has experienced circumstances during his formative years that hardened his heart and caused him to develop a severe tendency towards self-preservation. But if Duck wants to be in a healthy relationship with anyone, there will be times when he'll have to learn to put his needs aside for his loved one. Darkwing had a similar personality to Duck (over-inflated ego), but Darkwing had the ability to be self-sacrificing. I don't think I've seen that side of Duck, at least not yet. Duck seemed to care about Pinkster but I wonder if Duck was only caring towards Pinkster because Duck needed to soothe his guilty conscience. If Duck truly cared for Pinkster, without the guilty string attached, then I would've considered Duck to have the ability to care for others. Well, at least in Apocalypso, Duck waited to retrieve Lexi before teleporting to safety. It's his job but at least it was a step up from his despicable behavior in It Came from Outer Space. I'll take that as a glimmer of hope that Duck isn't utterly stonehearted.
And I still think Duck is her favorite (well... it look more that is Ace her favorite)... but after all thta he did in the past she still is sweet with him... that's strange...
Well.. for me is Duck/Lexi pairing... but is funny see zadavia and Duck in a date!!!!
They'd be an interesting couple, but I think Zadavia was just too harsh and cold towards Duck and that he's probably interested in her money. But I'd like to be proven false.

Maybe his interest for the money is fake... he doesn't want the others now his feelings (I know a lot of people like that)...
But is funny Duck face when he ask about "the exboyfriend" to Zadavia... and when he was worried about her and Lexi said she was surprise that he was worried... he said it was for the money... it was unatural when he said it was for the money and he doesn't look happy about what Lexi said... is like he doesn't want people know his feelings...

That doesn't explain the whole thing behind "I am Slamacus"; I'm pretty sure he was pretty sincere about wanting a few more $$$'s out of being Slam's manager in a really dubious-sounding tournament.
We're talking about a children's T.V show. For people in the 2-11 range. As a general rule, the good guys have to wear their intentions on their sleeves most of the time, lest the kiddies get really confused. Besides, romance is on the same level as lima beans in the average kid's list of favorite things. To kids, romance is something you tease other people about. (Why do you think the "Sittin' in a tree" chant is so recognizable?) They're not going to actively seek clues pertaining to relationships.

That doesn't necessarily mean that the writers don't intend for things to have multiple meanings. It's an old standard in animation to write and draw things in such a way that kids will easily get the main surface meaning, while also including a more subtle one that only adults that may be watching will pick up on.
Though I do agree with you about Duck's motives. If he's not a greedy moneygrubber, I'm Queen of the Nile.

The interpretation is in the eyes of the person that see the show... for us mean something... for the kids another... the only ones who are right are the creators of LU...
Maybe they wanted do another iterpration of all this... for me Duck feel somthing for Zadavia... Skifox have his interpretation (I have to admit Duck is really greedy)... Anna has her interpretation...
And I don't think love is in the plans of WB... and if is in the plans... they are doing the things that only teens and adults can see... and no little kids...

Honestly,I can't imagine EVEr imagine them as a couple, It just wouldn't work out. However, she does respect him as a warrior and an individual, but that doesn't mean that she has to like him or not.
And the whole money thing...ka-ching thing Duck just wants it for the money.
I reckon that Duck's the type to chase after any form of skirt... Seriously. He has a thing for Misty, he was attracted to Queen Athena... Why not Zadavia.
But still, a relationship between those two?? Puh-lease! Pass me a barf bag! OH THE WRONGNESS. D:
On another subject, Bandkanon, where on earth (or Acmetropolis for that mater) did you get that screenshot in your avatar from?? It positively makes my soul smile. 8D
(Pfft, Duck wants to hold Ace's sword... *is brick'd for inappropriateness* To quote Oddity, TOTALLY WORTH IT!)

I'm not a fan of this pairing, but I'm not really for Zadavia being paired up with any of the Loonatics. It's like a boss going out with an employee. It never works! This is my own little predicament though.
More like a teacher-student relationship to me... +Gulp, shivers+

:D Glad you asked! It's from my third-favorite episode, Secrets of the Guardian Strike Sword! So is the kinky quote, of course.

well i see what your saying but i dont think duck loves her but he probley finds her attrative but on the other hand hes always wanted to become leader and in that episode 'the music villan' i think it is,he was trying to show zadovia that he was heroic and bla bla bla...but tech probley shoes more feelings for zadovia than duck...so main point here is that duck probley likes zadovia but tech would probley like her more...you see what im saying?
I understand what you're saying. I believe that Tech and Zadavia's closeness is (in my mind) because Tech was recruited by Zadavia to actually go around and collect all the Loonatics (GAH! I have to finish that fanfiction). So IMHO I think Tech was actually the first Loonatic... And that's why he's so fond of Zadavia - she picked him first. ^__^
See? Nothing sexually related there. 8D
As for Duck... I still think that he's the type to chase anything with bewbs.

OF COURSE THERE WILL BE! After all, I've married him... in... one of the threads in the Wormhole section... XD
Oh yeah, I'm Duck's wife. Go me! Zadavia better not be up in mah grill tryin' to steal MAH man! c(X
Er... My drake I mean... XD
Seriously though, I can't see Duck as having a truly intimate relationship with someone. I see him as the type with commitment issues and emotional withdrawl because of his past inside the orphanage (plz refer to my post about intitutionalised children in the 'All about Duck' thread in the 'Loonatics, Villains and Other Characters' section of the forum).
I reckon he'd be in it for the physical, but have difficulties with the emotional. He's only looking out for Numero Unero; that's where his mentality is set. Trying to convert him into a loving, caring person who's able to hold a stable relationship would have to take a great amount of time and a very devoted and loyal young woman... *cough*ME*cough*
Poor, poor complex Duck. )=
