I noticed that most of the friction in the fandom comes from conflicts between certain Looney Toons fans and Loonatics fans. Either there are Looney Toons fans who think that Loonatics and anyone involved in making it are evil incarnate and therefore should harrass and preach sancity towards fictional cartoon characters to anyone who likes the show, or there are Loonatics fans who harrass anyone who has even has a reasonable dissenting opinion of the show by exclaiming that so-and-so character is so totally kewl and everyone should love it. Here's a question, though; which group really started THAT fight?!

[As to who started that fight, it could've been both sides at the same time, however doubtful that may be.]

[But to be honest, I believe it could have been the Looney Tunes group, seeing as the Loonatics seemed to be based off of the "originals". Ever since the Loonatics were brought to life, people might have thought that they were a copycat of the Looney Tunes and that the series should be either cancelled or redone. In defense, the Loonatics fans might as well be harrassing others to prove its worth and trying to stop the Looney Tunes fans from dismissing the series as a worthless piece of junk. Although some fans from the "Looney Bin" might not have given the Loonatics a chance, the Loonatics fans should not be forcing their beliefs on those who had not seen it yet, those who had seen it and didn't like it, and those who didn't even give it a chance.]

That's one of the reasons I hang around here. Forums really aren't my cup of tea, as a general rule, mostly because there tends to be too much pointless bickering, but LUO has a great sense of community that makes interacting with all of you so enjoyable. =D

Yes, well, there are some pretty stubborn purists out there. I honestly don't see the significance in all the comparing. LU borrows aspects from the original Looney Tunes and does its own thing. Borrows. I don't understand what's so wrong with that. The real concern should lay in the possibility of WB actually making brand new Looney Tunes cartoons in the future. I doubt any of today's creators could even come close to the feel of the originals, and the purists would simply bash it harder than ever.

I admit that LU isn't anything incredibly amazing (just like The Batman is miniscule and humiliating in comparison to the original, more mature cartoons of the 90's), but I enjoy the characters and it makes me happy. Shouldn't it just be that simple?

Anyway, most of (or some of) the Loonatics fans might feel the need to defend the series' honour, thus forcing their opinions on others that the Loonatics are "teh r0x0rz"...or something to that effect. As much as I want others to love and cherish the Loonatics series, along with the Looney Tunes series (which I have never seen), I know that there will always be controversy between the two.]

And I've read your opinons. Very well put. Both ways make alot of sense and have alot of truth to them. Either way, both sides have their reasons for starting this war when they really shouldn't of. But hey, lots of people might wanna fight for something that they love and cherish. Like the saying 'Alls fair in love and war.' but this might be going a little too far.

Wow.... i can't imagne my life without the Looney Tunes. Me, my dad and my sister used to watch them all the time! His fav. was Foghorn Leghorn.

So, one question: Does this mean you haven't seen 'Space Jam' or 'Looney Tunes: Back in Action'?

I suppose the root of all the conflict is the fact that purists have a tendency to prejudge LU before they actually watch it, either passing judgment without seeing it at all or being so convinced they're going to hate it that it becomes a self-fulfilling prophecy. That puts LU fans on the defensive, and some become a little too zealous. Like you said, there's probably fault on both sides. LT purists need to cool off and take LU for what it is, and LU fandom needs to be a little more rational in its defense of the show.

I think it all started when Anna said this and then it got way off the pairings of LU and into Sonic, Pokemon, Looney Tunes and why the LU and LT fans fight.

As for searching about the LT, go for it!! They're quite funny, but I got annoyed at them for repeating the same cartoons over and over. I think theres some LT cartoons on youtube, so i'd try there if you wanna watch some. They also have 'Space Jam' on there too! And even though LT was popular, loads of people hated 'Space Jam' and 'Looney Tunes: Back in Action'. I luv 'em though. They're two of my all time favs. biggrin

Ironically I don't like to think of Rev as gay. Which would seem to create a contradiction, but really, in terms of anthropomorphic pairings, gender doesn't mean a thing to me. I mean, its interspecies anyway, why should gender matter?

I do not really like AcexLexi. a couple is cute, but banal and predictable.
I really like "The impossible love". Love unpredictable!
And the impossible loves are those that last longer! Type Romeo and Juliet! As they say in qiesti cases, love knows no age, no color, no sex! Love can be born in various forms of completely unexpected! Therefore, I approve very TechxRev.
Their ancestors had always been enemies, and in the future, Tech and Rev were both great friends to work as well together! Despite their great differences, these two characters are both very intelligent, love science and have one thing in common, that of not being understood by others. Rev speaks too fast, and friends do not understand it except Tech. He even translates. And Tech talks way too professional so as to be incomprehensible at times, and Rev is the only one who understands him!

Really? you agree, too impossible for matching pairs? Yet you do not really like the couple, "traditional" AcexLexi (traditional in the sense that they are both attracted to the opposite sex and of the same species)?
I also love DuckxLex after TechxRev. At first glance, these two seem to detest each other a lot, but maybe it's because they do not want to admit their feelings, because of their diversity. So like many couples in real life, who feel so different outside, so that they can not easily express their feelings. In the end, then, they give in to temptation and love wins! Just like Romeo and Juliet! As you know, the more they feel so different, and both inside and outside, and more s' attract!
I like it! is a challenge to our curiosity! At least on special couples!

With regard to the famous scene of the cabinet, but I think that theseare only two colleagues who need to share their things to work together.
