a few explanations. yes,i know there a writing challange prompt on the board. however i was looking at another list when i wrote this. and the list on the board doesn't have the word "drive". so i'm useing the prompt from a diffrent page.
also this is only a scene,though i may expand on it someday. who knows with the way my writing works?
anyways,enjoy this brother/sister bit between tech and my char dazz.
#9: drive
" But Tech! You HAVE to let me!" Dazzle whined in the tone of any normal teenager begging for something.
Tech didn't even bother to look up from his work.
"No Dazz,i don't HAVE to let you do anything. While your living here i'm reponsible for you. Meaning i'm not about to let you do anything that would get you hurt or killed." Tech explained. By the sound of his voice it sounded like this was just one of the many times he had said this little speech.
" Your acting like i'm asking to shove my hand in the toaster. I just want to drive!" Dazzle shouted.
" I'm aware of what your asking me. Not letting you do it." Tech said.
" I'm almost seventeen! And i've driven before! Stop treating me like i'm five and have no driveing experiance!" Dazzle shouted again.
" Whine all you want. Still not letting you drive." Tech replied as he lifted a hand.
Useing his powers the hover-car keys that had been in Dazzle's hand flew from her hands and into his hand.
Dazzle looked ready to kick her dear older sibling. However her look of pure annoyance changed to that of a sly smirk. Without a word she started over to the nearby video-phone. The sudden silence and then the beeping of the number being punched in alerted Tech that something was going on.
"Dazz? What are you doing?" Tech asked, getting up from his work.
"Calling mom." Dazzle said,arms folded.
Before Tech could say anything Anne picked up and her face appeared on screen.
"Hello Dazz,Tech. Whats going on?" Anne asked.
"Mommmmmm! Tech won't let me drive!" Dazzle whined, giving wide sad eyes to her mother.
Tech snorted.
" Oh please. This is your game? Mom is not going to take your side." Tech said.
"Tech E. Coyote! You let your sister drive!" Anne suddenly barked.
Tech's jaw nearly fell off in shock.
"What?" Tech managed to gasp out a full ten seconds later.
"You heard me young man. Your sister is old enough and has gone to driving school. I'm sure she can handle herself in a Hover-car." Anne said.
"But she..." Tech started.
"No buts! The next call i get i better hear that you let Dazz drive." Anne said back before the video-phone screen went out.
Tech just stared at the blank screen for a minute before turning to Dazzle. Dazzle promptly took the keys from his hand and stuck her tounge out at Tech.
I see tech as a protective big brother really (in fandom universe anyways) he seems like the type. i pray for the one who messes with dazzle,lest they face the wrath of a super powered protective older brother.
not as often as one would think. sure,she likes to purposely push her brothers buttons sometimes. i think it's the fact that he's a pretty serious alot of the time and dazzle's alot less serious. just her way of saying "lighten up!".
either that or she's actively trying to give her brother an early heart attack. which is true? you decide! :)
