[And those are good roles...Although they'll need to hire a few people as bodyguards. Imagine all of the fangirls and fanboys trying to rush onto the stage for glompage. Without bodyguards, they wouldn't get far into song. Hehehe...]

OMG!!! You read my mind!!! I was actually going to draw them in a rock band today!!! I was soo bored, I didnt know what else to do. I stopped since I couldn't think what instrument each one would play, but I like your idea ShagsterP!

Heh, rock on, people!

I think I'd totally pay to get something like this commissioned, if it were possible. Honestly, it took me a while to come up with a use for Duck, then the practicality of imagining him DJ'ing hit me. And Tech on electric guitar is a given. He constructed one, after all. He has to somewhat know how to play! So it goes without saying that Rev would be on bass to compliment Tech =D

Same here. You have no idea how many times I've envisioned them as the group thats playing the song. I couldn't stop laughing the first time it happened!

I've had that planned... but so many projects keep popping up!

The closest I've gotten to it is a pic of Rip and Faus jammin... but do look forward to my rendition of LU rockin' out! ^^

Funny we're talking about bands, I *just* came back from a Fall Out Boy concert... and I'm so beat from screaming my lungs out and jumping around XD

Actually, I thought it could go like this:

Lexi: Punked out lead singer (I totally agree. Could possibly also play the guitar...)
Ace: Rhythm guitar/Back up singer
Tech: Bass guitar
Rev: Lead guitar (He can get to the frets and play the correct strings quicker than what I can even though I play guitar too!)
Duck: Turntables (That totally suits him since he's into "new" things.)
Slam: Drums (Why is it that all the drummers we see are huge? My little sister plays the drums and she's as thin as a stick!)

Yea, I figured Tech and Rev's guitar roles could easily be considered interchangeable. Rev could shred heavily with any sort of guitar playing using his speed. Definitely some crazy solo potential. Heh, I imagine him with a guitar shaped like flames. I want to see Tech and Rev back to back, ripping together in a dual guitar moment =3

Heh, and even if Slam wasn't huge, he still fits best as a drummer, seeing as he's the type who likes to pound on stuff.

And I really can't see Duck doing anything else now but scratching up a storm on some turntables =D

Dunno, I don't really find that appealing. I blame another show for this...>_>

I personally don't see Tech being into rock. I imagine him liking something lighter, perhaps new age and classical.
Rev is probably into dance, disco, techno and house music.
Ace could definitely be a rocker and so could Lexi (though not hard rock like Ace).
Duck could be into Metal.
Slam...dunno...R&B and Rap?

So, because of this I can't really see them as a band.

I'm not criticizing anybody nor going against you guys, so don't smack me! XD The idea all in all is really cute, I'm just personally not really intrigued by it.

I'm not sure I'd read a fanfic about this, but I wouldn't pass up a drawing, if it happened. :)

Heh, I agree on the music choices Ayelet. In their own personal worlds, it's obvious they'd have their own tastes. This is really for the sake of choosing roles for a singular themed idea, so it's just whatever roles fit who best within that idea. It's implausible, but still fun =3

You know, it`s funny, I eventually wanted to draw the `Tics as a band once I had a scanner. I had the idea while back, but I never told you guys because I didn`t want anyone outside our circle stealing the diea. Of course, now that it`s been proposed, I `spect we`ll be seeing such a picture up on Kaejae`s DA account any week now. hmm

Here`s my choices for positions:

Lexi - lead singer (obvious choice, isn`t she?)
Ace - lead guitar (perfect match, isn`t he? )
Duck - backup guitar (of course, he`d try to be the lead guitarist :P)
Tech - keyboard 1
Rev - keyboard 2/tertiary guitar
Slam - drums

This idea DOES seem to come around with every show! I once saw the kids from digimon in a rock band!

Pegasusmon: Of course, it wasn't really a rock band. One kid was playing the violin!

Me: I can't really see the Loonatics singing anything, but I can see digimon singing this rock song I heard one time.

Pegasusmon: Oh, I remember that! You had all the digimon from the S1 singing and playing instruments!

LAWLZ. I've been mentioned twice about drawing out this idea... Is this supposed to be a hint? ;)

Like I've said, the idea has come across my mind plenty of times before. I'll probably end up drawing it out sometime soon, since the idea won't leave my poor frazzled brain alone ;_;

I did start on Slam a few weeks ago, but scrapped it because he turned out ugly. XD :3

Isn't the term 'stealing' a bit strong?

I mean, the idea itself isn't very original, and considering the fact that the Loonatics have been involved in the rock band subject with The Music Villain episode, I'm honestly not surprised people were considering doing fanart and fanfics about it. I mean, WB literally 'served the meal on a silver plate' for fans, if you know what I mean.

Besides, you can still play around with roles and rock genres, so even if two or more members of this board drew or wrote the idea, they would still differ.

It is to be expected with a concept as common as 'turning the characters of this show into a rock band'. I've seen it done before in several other fandoms, many times, and in many ways.

Yea, I've known all along how common an idea it is, but I feel it's more workable for the Loonatics than with most other cartoon characters. For one, they all have pretty solid and differing personalities, which makes it fun to decide what kind of band role is most fitting. Also, each of them come off as pretty hip and modern in their own way, so this is easily more tolerable than characters from other random shows. Six is a good band number, as well. And lastly, they're all pretty good friends and have a lot of resources at their disposal when it comes to recreational downtime.

All in all, I think the band theme is much easier to swallow with these characters, and that makes it overall more entertaining to think about.
