Anthros, Thats what they called us. I believe it came from the word Anthropomorphism; the attribution of uniquely human characteristics and qualities to nonhuman beings, objects, or natural/supernatural phenomena. An Anthro is similar to classical cartoon characters such as Bugs Bunny, Daffy Duck from the WB, Micky Mouse, Goofy from Walt Disney, or the story of Puss in boots. All animals who acts, walks, and speaks human.

I am an Anthro. Feline to be exact. My human name is Tabitha Tack, but now I go by Kiby. I wasn't always a Anthro, in fact most weren't born one, we where humans. We all had family. Mothers, fathers, brothers, and sisters. Now most of us have no one, but others who have bin abandoned. Ever sins a science lab accident out in Utah we have ran or sadly bin chased away from are family and homes.

Scientist where experimenting with a chemical now known as, like most new chemicals, Chemical X. An exploitation in there mane storage tank sent the chemical in a gas form around the world. At first there was no effect, but thin seeming over 1-3 nights many transformed into what they are now. It is strange, I have asked my self many times why only some of us had bin effected, but as I studied thous who where infected they had an interesting strain of DNA I have named the Arthro Gen. The chemical latched on to this gen and transformed are bodes and are very DNA.

The Arthro Gen seems to go dormant after the age of 18 to 20. This might explain why the oldest Anthro I've meat was 23. I am a young scientist my self, now I may only be 16 but I have trained my self in scientific, and medical, knowledge. It also helps that my father was a scientist and my mother was a doctor. With my knowledge I have studied my fellow Anthros who volentered. This is how I've learned what I've learned, and now I have notesed some new things happening, but what it is I am not sure of.

Many of the Anthros who have ran away have joined, as the humans put it, street gangs. We call it Familys. My family is named the Thunder Family, and in it I am there leader. It is strange that I am the one they chows to be leader, but maybe its becas I have answered many of there questions. And I have taken care of thous who need it.

I guess I shall start my story on the 3rd anniversary of the foundation of my family. It was early in the morning maybe 5 A.M. I was a sleep in my small quarters. In my room was no window, a medal desk covered in books papers and one lamp, a shelf of misalliances items, a small trunk, and my bed. Clows where on the floor. Nothing fancy, no one who was a Anthro had really fancy things. On the back of the door was a large green coat. That was all that could really fit.

I heard a banging on the door. I was very tired, even though it had bin 3 years sins the family had bin formed we where still getting new members all the time and yesterday we had gotten 5.

“Kiby! Kiby whack up! Kib!” I heard a familiar voice quietly shouting from the other side of the door.

I opened my eyes and sat up,leaning on my arms. I gave a sighed and ran my fingers through my brownish-gold fur. The banging came agen along with the voice urging me to whack.

“Zerth?” I said. Zerth was my second in command, he was a 17year old brown feline Anthro with a red stripe going from his fore head down to the tip of his tail, and green eyes.

I tossed the blanket to the left, it getting lumped up agents the wall, and dropped my legs of the side of the bed that faced the rest of the room. I sat there for a few seconds. I was wearing blue jeans with a tare in the right knee, and a gray spaghetti strap shirt. I got up and opened the door so only my head was visible to the out side hall.

“Zerth, what is it?” I asked rubbing my eyes

“Kib, I jest got word from MoonShadow.” He said urgently.

“MoonShadow!” I repeated opening the door a bit wider. MoonShadow was a scout. He was to keep an eye out for thous of other enemy Familys during the night such as the Ravens, and report any trouble.

“Yes...MoonShadow.” Zerth said seeming a little nerves, I closed the a tad bit more, “He found some Ravens cornering 8 run aways”

“Gather some of the warriors for a rescue.” I had ordered.

“Yes Kiby” Zeth ran down the hall. I grabbed a red shirt from the floor and put it on, ran to the door and opened it, as I started to closes the door I grabbed my jacket of the back.

I ran down the hall, and the many flights of stares to get to the bottom. My Family had found an old abandoned office building that we turned into are home, each office is big anuff to fit 1 to 4 peoples living recuierments. so we filled them up like apartments. There are 5 room that are bigger thin the others. Theres one on the ground floor that has now become are 'family room'. Theres the stored room, and mess hall. A conference room for are counsel. Last is the room where we teach the younger Anthros.

As reached the bottom off the stares I was met by 4 others.
