Hmm. They screwed up on his foot/leg consistency, then. His right foot appears to be the normal length/size while the one you pointed out is, indeed, a little deformed. It is a conspiracy, I suppose.

I meant the high-heels. Look closely at the one on Ace's right foot. The shoe appears to be slightly lower than the other one...and look at where the foot ends (the ankle). It is slightly lower than the other foot's ankle-point. It might be the angle, though.
...
I feel silly for finding myself discussing the feet of a Loonatic.

And now I realize that we went completely off-topic. I apologize for straying away from the original discussion...although this was pretty interesting to think about. Gah, back on topic...I was looking through this thread and the "8D" faces amused me greatly...as well as the..."pimping" Danger Duck picture.

Well since I can't draw I might be able to make icons.

I'm just gonna have to agree that since the official artist themselves are inconsistent in anatomy, artistic license does take charge, and therefore, the "accuracy" of fan art is pretty minor. But truth be told, fan-art in general ought not to be judged on accuracy at all.
Thus, KJ's art is made of so much awesome! >< I love my segway back to KJ's art.
In menace of mastermind Ace's feet are humanoid. In Apocalypso they are like Bugs'. In both episodes they're entirely grey.
If in that pictre above the white thing is indeed the toes, then I'd say yeah, they are very consistent throughout the series.
But even so, my point from the beginning was that it's rude to point out unimportant 'mistakes' in fanart unless the person actually asks for them. Even more so when the discussion is no longer active. Now if Kaejae posted a pic and mentioned the feet...then yes, by all means, point out your opinion.
But even then, there are many ways to say something. That post of yours came across as a victorious cry, you sounded almost happy for that 'mistake' you noticed.
I just didn't like that.
I'm just throwing this in there but did you know they use more then one artist for one character. Like.....have you noticed that certain episodes have slightly different character design then others? They'll like have one guy draw Duck one episode and another guy draw him in the next. That might explain the difference in feet. They might have different visions on what the feet are like.

Hence why it's called art 'department'. It's not just one animator. Character sheets are created for this reason - so it doesn't excuse it.
My guess is that they simply didn't care because it's for kids and because the show was already hated enough before it even hit the tv. *shrugs*

How was it hated before it hit the television? Was it the controversy that it was a rip-off of the "Looney Tunes"? To be honest, I never have seen any clips, episodes, or screenshots of that series...
Also, how did we stray really far away from KaeJae's artwork? Why did we continue to go off-topic? Oh, well...it could not be helped, I guess.

I guess you guys are right. It's just I can relate because when I first started drawing the Loonatics I gave everyone human feet, even Rev. I cut it out though, it was bugging me that I couldn't get the animation right...

LU got more media attention and attention in general before it premiered than when it was actually on the air. People were outraged at the new character designs (and frankly the first designs did suck) and many thought that it wasn't new characters but simply a makeover of the original Looney Tunes.
You are not the first person here to say they've never seen Looney Tunes. I don't know how that'd be possible for me, though; if I didn't watch the Looney Tunes, I would have absolutely no interest in this show.
But the franchise is so wide it's pretty much impossible not knowing them. I don't know about the rest of the world, but here the old shorts are still airing regularly.
I don't even remember when it started. I've loved them ever since I have memory and I just...can't get over the fact there are people unfamiliar with them.
Srsly are kids today raised in boxes or something?! D:
I agree though that it perplexes me that people haven't even heard of them. I guess it's one thing of knowing of them but simply not watching them, but never having heard of them? It seems like you'd almost have to purposely try and avoid... like... everything in the world to do that.
Well, when did the Looney Tunes come to television? I might not have been around during that time...or I might have been too young and undeveloped to remember it. I have heard of Mickey Mouse, though; he stars in a recent cartoon called, "The House of Mouse"...somewhere...I remember seeing it only a few times, yet I forget where I saw it.
Also, I do apologize for seeming like an idiot...I truly have not heard of the Looney Tunes until Loonatics Unleashed aired.

I see...Well, I do apologize for my lack of knowledge. Is it still on the air? I would like to see at least a little bit of it.

Regardless of whether their actual cartoons are currently airing or not (I doubt they're not), their image is pretty much stamped everywhere in the continuing DVD releases, merchandises here and there, cameos, and parodies. I don't know about you guys, but I'm always hearing about the Looney Tunes here >
Warner Village Cinemas...every single employee hat works for them wears something with a Looney character on it. Be it a cap, a tie, the shirt itself, a clock...and if not, unless I remember incorrectly, they have LT themed badges.
I thought everyone knew who the Looney Tunes were... I mean... They're EVERYWHERE. If you haven't watched them personally, your parents or you grandparents would have... They were incredibly MASSIVE in their time period and are still major in today's cartoon industries. Dare I say it, they're the pioneers of cartoons. O=
...
KJ stated at the beginning of this topic that she would be drawing the 'Tics in her own preferred style... And I doubt that it's really relevent how everyon'e feet are portrayed anyway because in the artistic realm (well, where I'm from, anyway), there's a main focal point within a piece... That's the bit that the artist wants you to focus on... Even if the feet are wrong or not, it's irelevant because it's not the main subject of the piece.
Also, Ace's feet in that scene were portrayed in a way that would give the impression of a certain pose... They would have had to of exaggerated the length of his feet to obtain that specific pose... It's difficult to know what to keep realistic and what to over-emphasis when drawing, because you could be going for a certain effect and someone else might intepret it compleetly different...
But I'd just like to point out that this is a kid's show, WB is known to be inconsistent with numerous points within this series, no single cartoon is perfect in every minute aspect, artists are allowed to make flaws/mistakes, especially when they're working within a specific time limit due to their director's wants and needs... So all in all, it doesn't really metter when it all boils down to it.
*cough*
I still love my pimpin' picture! I look absolutely stunning in my formal gown! i can't believe how beautifully KJ captured it; it looks exactly as it does IRL. ^__^

Techfan, I saw your post about my "errors" pertaining to my fanart this morning, and I will admit that I did get very offended by what you had said. (To Ayelet, Drak & Xtream, thanks for your input in all this *hug*) I would’ve posted earlier, but the last thing I need to do I contradict myself after posting a sticky pertaining to proper ‘netiquette’. So I figured that I'd wait before I ambush my keyboard ;P
Now, at the beginning of making this new post, I did indicate that I was going to put more of my personal art style into making fanart as fanart is up to the interpretation of the artist.
And for someone to actually say “I have made a grave discovery! KJ's portrayel of the loonatics have had a major error all this time” or something along those the lines to anyone is highly offensive. I totally agree with Ayelet that your post did sound a lil’ too proud about pointing out my “mistakes”. By the way Techfan, if you’re all about being a perfectionist, “portrayel” is actually portrayal. ;P
Also, I may have been aiming for accuracy in my fanart when I had just joined the fandom in its early developments, but since then I do recall making a post about fanart being up to the artist’s interpretation a while back and I also indicated it when I posted this new topic. If you’d like to continue assuming that I’m trying to copy the exact show’s style and wanted criticism about it, then be my guest. Just remember the general rule when people tend to ASS+U+ME.
I’m going to keep drawing the way I keep drawing and will enjoy it. As with most artists, if they wanted any criticism regarding their art, they’d ask for it in the first place and would most appreciate it in a constructive way.
If you still have any issues about perfection and sticking to the shows style when I make fanart or for anyone else’s fanart for that matter, they you’re outta luck when it comes to my pieces. You can either just deal with my style of drawing, or just don’t bother if it irks you that much.

Welcome back Kaejae .
I do agree with what you have to say. If you want to try out your own style, you go ahead and show it to the world .
