What were you doing up at 5 in the morning?
Anyways,I don't think I'm able to go on this site as much because I managed to get into the college. Plus I'm feeling pretty depressed at the moment too so sorry if I begin to get less sociable on this site.
The good ol' days pretty much ended around August. :(

I often can't sleep, so I surf the net. And back then LUO was among my number one destinations, so I stalled here a lot. PLUS, KJ, SKi and the others were online a lot then since it was evening in their timezones.

I'm pretty much a noob to this forum, yeah. (I joined back last May but whatever). There is this one online community I've been involved with since 1997, though (yes, when I was 7). And the 'good ol' days' there ended almost 10 years ago now.
So truth be told there's not much nostalgia for me to have at this forum. D:
One thing I've noticed is that every single forum I've been on ever mourns the loss of the 'good ol days'.
Well, of course. If you don't fulfill such duties you may be hunted down by the internet police, who will take you to the internet prison in which you would preside for 2 internet years (a few weeks), where you would be fed 4chan memes nonstop.
DW: Haha, good thing no one on the internet is organized enough for that. ...except maybe those two poor 4chan /b/-tards that tried to picket Anthrocon last year. XD
KJ: Are you really so desperate for laud and glory as to revel in that? *eyebrow*

Skifox! Long time no see! What happened to ya!? I've wondered where you went to!

Well, put simply, I lost interest, not in the characters so much as the forum itself. For starters, with the demise of the show came a lack of meaningful content (note: there was also a slowdown in fanarting around the time I departed). At that point in time, the youngest and most grammatically-challenged segments of the membership had become dominant posters, too, so I felt like the IQ of the forum as a whole had fallen into the basement. There was also a minor troll invasion soon thereafter that deterred me from checking. I did lose some interest in the characters as well, once their newness to me wore off. I just wasn't a fan anywhere long enough to create the lasting fervor for them that I have for the characters and shows I grew up on.
I also have to admit, I was tiring of the requirement that things be kept mostly PG here. My mind is pretty much always in the proverbial gutter, so that got kinda frustrating.
There was no conscious decision to "leave", but once I had stopped checking, there wasn't really anything to make me start again, especially since the three people I interacted with the most, KJ, Ayelet, and Miss Xtream, I kept in touch with elsewhere (no offense to anyone else). *shrug*
I didn't realize my presence was so sorely missed. I'll never be as crazy active as I once was, but I'll try not to be such a stranger.

That's okay. It's just, people just suddenly disappear for a while and it kind of makes me sad to think soon, I might do the same when I go to college in September. But I'll never forget how LU and the fan base has shaped my character. And for that, I'm so grateful. I don't know what I would have done if I never came upon it.
I guess the people here, can make a difference to those who lack confidence or just want to support something they love. To me, the community here seems... special. It's like I have a second family here.
But obviously I can't forget reality and the real people in my life as well. It's just when you want to escape from reality, you could come here and talk and do what you want. Obviously not trolling or flaming or anything but still. It gives you that little bit of extra freedom. Just to unleash your imagination to an unlimited extent. More than you can in the real world.
