After doing a lot of thought on the subject I've finally decided to get this off my cheast.

If you don't know Don Bluth is, he is a former Disney animator who broke away and did some films of his own.

Some of his most famous work is The Secret of NIMH, An American Tail, The Land Before Time and All Dogs go to Heaven.


Personaly I think Don Bluth has had a stronger influence on me both as a child veiwer of cartoons and as a writer of plays and stories. I admit  not everything he made was good.

A Troll in Central Park was terrible and Titan A.E. was mediocre but his many of his early films profoundly affected me as a kid.

Of all the cartoon movies I dream of The Land Before Time is the one that I have had the most dreams about. This maybe becuase of Bluth's dream-like imagry and stories.
