I could literally go on for decades explaining why I support Obama over McCain. But I won't do that right now.

I have, however, voted in the primaries for Obama, caucused for him on both the precinct and the district level - as a delegate for the latter (the youngest delegate at the convention), and have donated money to his campaign.

So yeah.

A side of me I like to hide is my strong politically active side.

To be honest, I don't care enough about politics to go into an ever so detailed explanation of everything I don't like about him. That and it doesn't really matter what I think of him, since I'm Canadian anyways. Besides, when it comes down to it, I don't overly care who's elected. Whoever it is, the public's gonna find something wrong with him sooner or later. -shrug-

Barack Obama for me,Im not racist but I belive Mcain is,and to anyone who supports
Mcain,I did not mean to insault you,I know you may not be racist and I apologize.
However Obama seem's like a good future president, for the reason that I have
faith in him, even though I'm Canadian, and in hope's that we finnaly have our
first African-American president.

One reason (and this is just one of the reasons) why Obama's so appealing to me, actually, is that he's appealing on the world stage.

Let's face it, most of the world thinks America is composed of a bunch of idiots due of the fact we elected Bush twice. The world would also consider McCain as the 2nd Bush (although not to the same extreme) and they would continue to look down on us for it. However, electing Obama symbolizes a BIG change in the American thought process in and of itself. To the world it kind of says, "hey, we screwed up for 8 years, and we know it, and we're sorry! Here's somebody new." And we might actually get some respect again.

One might say "lol America shouldn't care what other think." No, we should care what other countries think. If we're looked at in a good light it'll be much easier to reach decent trade and commerce agreements. And, if need be, alliances with other countries would be a lot more accessible than they are right now.

A happy world equals a happy America. =D

Americas world image is quiet bad for a lot of other reasons. Especially in Europe. Electing Obama would definitely improve it, but far from fix it. This is also because America's world image is bad because of a lot of true things. Some need immense changes in education and culture to get rid of.

Well, I'm aware the Obama wouldn't be a quick fix as it were. Nothing would. But it would be a start. A better start than McCain, in any case.

True that. =P

And I'm pretty sure Obama would be the first mixed-race president of the US, not the first African-American president (if he wins).

I'd quite enjoy a black president of the USA. I don't believe in racism, sexism or kidsism.
