 Cassidy glanced up at her boss.
 
 "I know you have strong feelings against your brother for what he did to Tech and your family. I must warn you to keep your focus on catching them. Trust me. I know what you're going through."
 
 Cassidy was confused, but nodded to her. "Yes, Ma'am."
 
 Ace, Lexi, Tech, Rev, Duck, and Slam exchanged worried looks.

Chapter One: "United We Stand"
 
 All six looked at Tech. "Your father?"
 
 "Yeah, he works as a night watchman at the museum."
 
 Just then, it was if the news just sunk in for Cassidy. Her ears went back slightly and Rev and Tech, who were sitting beside her, along with Lexi could hear a deep growl come from her throat.
 
 "Making the situation even more serious." Zadavia added. "Hurry Loonatics, I sense something worse might happen...." Her voice trailed off.
 
 Ace didn't like the tone in her voice. "What do you mean?"
 
 "I'm not sure..... Either way, you must hurry." The seven stood up and went to prepare for the mission. "And Cassidy..."
 
 Cassidy glanced up at her boss.
 
 "I know you have strong feelings against your brother for what he did to Tech and your family. I must warn you to keep your focus on catching them. Trust me. I know what you're going through."
 
 Cassidy was confused, but nodded to her. "Yes, Ma'am."
 
 Ace, Lexi, Tech, Rev, Duck, and Slam exchanged worried looks.
 
.YELLOW TRIANGLE.
 
 "Lex, are you, Tech and Cassidy in position?" Ace called over the communicator.
 
 "Ready, Ace." Lexi answered. The seven had split up, going to the three different entry points of the museum. Lexi, Tech and Cassidy were at the back entry, Ace and Duck were at the front, and Rev and Slam were at the side.
 
 "Rev, Slam?"
 
 "Ready!"
 
 "Okay, let's hit it, Loonatics!" Ace ordered, kicking the front door down. He and Duck charged inside.
 
 Lexi nodded to Tech. Tech nodded back and tore the door down with his magnetic powers. He jumped in and the girls followed him.
 
 Slam busted a hole in the the door large enough for him to fit through and he and Rev entered the building.
 
 All was dark and quiet in the museum. The Loonatics turned on their night vision goggles and made their way through the museum's winding hallways.

 Lexi, Tech, and Cassidy paused when the hallway split into two. Lexi peeked slowly around one corner while Cassidy looked down the other way. Tech glanced behind them, making sure they weren't being followed.

 Lexi signaled the two coyotes to go down the one hallway, and she went the other way.
 
 Soon the seven met in a large room. Each of them could easily see Tech's father in the middle of the room, tied up.
 
 Tech stepped forward to help his father, but Ace held out his hand, telling him to stop. Tech froze. Ace signaled them to split up. They quickly checked the room thoroughly.
 
 "Clear!" Lexi called.
 
 "Clear!" Cassidy answered.
 
 "Grabu clear!" Slam grumbled.
 
 "All clear over here!" Rev announced.
 
 "Nothing over here." Duck added.
 
 "All clear Cheif." Tech was last to respond.
 
 "Okay." Ace nodded to Tech.
 
 Tech knelt beside his dad and untied the ropes. "Dad, are you okay?"
 
 "Just fine, son. Don't worry about me.." Mike answered, standing up.
 
 "What did they steal, Mr. Coyote?" Ace asked.
 
 "It's what they tried to steal...." Mike led them to a small table with a strange peice of rock was sitting. "This is what they were after."
 
 "Looks like there's a peice missing..." Duck pointed out.
 
 "Yes, it's always been like that." Mike said. "It's called the 'Tempa Loada.'"
 
 Tech pulled out his palm computer and scanned the object. "Funny, how did you know what it was called? According to this, there's no record of anything like this on Earth, let alone just Acmetropolis."
 
 "That's because it's not from Earth."
 
 Everyone gave Cassidy questioning glances.
 
 "You see, when the team was split up, I spent most of my time studying Sari's history, including its language..."
 
 "Wait, Sari has its own language? But your family speaks English." Lexi said.
 
 Cassidy nodded. "Most Sarians prefer the English language. They usually only use Sarian for secrets and other important imformation..."
 
 "So, do you know what this thing is?" Ace asked.
 
 Cassidy shook her head. "Only what the name means. The word, 'Tempa' means 'time' and 'Loada' means 'key.'"
 
 "Time Key. Fascinating." Tech murmmered.
 
 "But if it's from Sari, what is it doing here?" Ace pondered.
 
 "While you're thinking about that, allow me to take it off your hands!" A male voice came from behind them.
 
 The Loonatics turned around too see Sypher standing behind them.
 
 "Oh, yeah? You and what army, Sypher?" Duck retorted.
 
 "This army.."
 
 Out of the shadows came Mastermind, Weathervane, Deuce, Andrew, Pierre, and Pinkster and thugs.
 
 Ace, Lexi, Tech, Rev, Cassidy, and Slam gave Duck murder looks. Duck chuckled nervously. "Me and my big mouth.."

 Ace drew out his Gaurdian Strike Sword. "Come near the statue and prepare for a butt-kickin'!"

 Ace lunged at Deuce. Deuce charged back, his sword ready.

 "Long time no see, sis." Andrew smirked at Cassidy.

 Cassidy growled. "Not long enough..." She was just about to lunge at him when she froze. It was happening all over again. She could see it, the blinding flash of light, Tech's limp body hitting the floor, his blood-covered face. She heard his pain-filled howls, him groaning as he struggled to sit up, his last words..... 'I'll be okay, I love you...'

 Cassidy shook her head. 'No, that's all over with. Tech's perfectly fine, and I have a job to do.' She gritted her teeth, eyes and hands glowing, and charged at her brother.

 Tech stood in front of his father, eyes glowing his emerald colour. He snarled at Mastermind. "Don't even dare..."

 Mastermind played innocent. "What? You mean this?" She quickly pulled out a gun and fired it. A net wrapped itself around Tech, pulling him to the ground. "I wouldn't try using your powers, dog breath, that net is designed to send an electromagnetic pulse through you everytime you attempt to use your powers. See you later."

 Mike growled and knocked Mallory to the floor. "NOBODY calls a COYOTE a DOG! Understand, Missy?"

 Mastermind, mad that she had been taken down, fired the net gun at Mike. The net pulled Tech's father to the floor.

 "Dad!" Tech gasped.

 "Awww, how cute. Now I'll just be taking this off your hands..." Mastermind grabbed the statue and ran off.

 "Don't think so, Melon Head!"

 Mallory turned around to see Lexi's foot headed for her. Lexi knocked Mallory down. She knelt beside Tech.

 "Be careful! Any wrong move could send an electric pulse through both of us." Tech warned her. "Use your brain blast, it's the safest way."

 "But I could end up frying you!" Lexi said with concern.

 "But I can regenerate myself, remember?"

 "Okay..." Lexi unwillingly brain blasted the net. Much to their surprise, Tech remained unscared, no regeneration needed. They freed Mike in the same way.

 "Ha! Can't catch me!" Duck teased Pinkster and his thugs as they attempted to blast him with their guns. Duck dove, jumped, cartwheeled, and somersaulted out of the guns' paths easily.

 Unfortunately, one of the blasts that missed Duck hit Tech in the rear. "YYEEEOOOUUUCCCH!" The coyote howled.

 "Hehe.. Sorry, there, Tech!" Duck quacked, landing inbetween Stoney's and Bugsy's heads. He knocked them together then quacked away.

 "Hello, Slam I would like for you to meet my newest pet. I call him Sam." Pierre pointed to a small, dog-like creature. Slam chuckled at first, until the creature started to grow. It grew another pair of arms, one which hit Slam, sending into a wall.

 "Help! Slam!"

 Slam opened his eyes to see Ace, Lexi, Rev, Tech, Duck, Cassidy, and Mike trapped in the creature's hands. "Oh no!" He charged at the creature, slamming his fists as hard as he could into its stomach. The creature seems to ignore this.

 Slam got an idea. "Hey!" He called at it. "Nanner nannner bah bah booo!" He teased the thing, making faces at it.

 The creature screamed and slammed its hand at him. Slam jumped out of the way, and the creature grew smaller.

 "That figures... It's got the same weakness as Gorlop." Ace sighed.

 "Cass." Tech said. "I've got an idea..."

 Cassidy's eyes widened, she knew what he was thinking. "No.."

 "It's the only way I see us getting out of here fast enough to stop the villains..."

 Cassidy shuddered. "Okay, let's do it..."

 The others exchanged confused looks.

 Tech and Cassidy took deep breaths, then sunk their teeth into the creature's hand.

 The creature screamed and dropped them. Tech grabbed his grapple gun out his backpack and fired it. He grabbed Cassidy's hand and Cassidy grabbed Mike's. Ace did the same and grabbed Lexi's hand, who grabbed Duck's. Rev caught himself in midair and flew safely to the ground.

 "Too little, too late, Losertics!" Sypher yelled as he and the other villains escaped.

 "Well, THAT was annoying." Duck said flatly.

Siamese: You'd better hang on to something, cause this is one of those chapters where my ability to cliff-hang people shines!!! XD

Before we go any farther, I would like to do some rambling, but it's important rambling! On LUO, Cali-Bunny (The creator of LUO) has a page which I visit often, called "Analysis : Prerequisites." In there are some very awesome rules if you want to be an LU Sleuth. That means you watch the episodes very carefully and try to find out hidden stuff the writers hid in the episodes. I have begun memorizing the "Rememberit Rules." The fourth one is "Don't take a character's word for it." and there are five points to that. One, Tech is always right, except for when he gets emotional. Two, Duck is usually wrong, unless when he's joking. Three, Ace's observations are usually correct, especially when Tech and Rev help him at it. Four, if Lexi is worried about her appearance, the situation is serious. Five, if Zadavia appears in person, we're all in trouble. Now, I would like to take this opportunity to add my own point. Six, If Cassidy is not completely focused and confident, something serious is gonna happen.
 
What does all of this have to do with this story? Let's just say that page has inspired me to great lengths. XD
 
Now, on with the show, before some of you hurt me. XD 
 
Chapter 2: "Clones?"
 
 "So, Mr. Coyote, how exactly did you get an object from Cassidy's homeplanet?" Ace questioned.
 
 "Well, when all of us were at your place for Christmas, Cassidy's father and I got to talking... And when you ran off to help your friend, Cassidy's sister...Maria, right? Well, she told her father that she could sense that the statue was in danger..."
 
 "How'd she do that?" Slam asked.
 
 "Maria has telepathic powers. She can see things that haven't happened yet, as well as speak to people through thoughts.." Cassidy answered.
 
 "So I agreed with King John that we should split the peices, one goes to Acmetropolis with me and the other stays on Sari."
 
 "So, you knew about Cassidy's family the whole time?" Tech asked.
 
 "Not until Maria had that physic flash. King John spoke to me in private, where he explained everything. He said that this was his only option, that didn't want to get Cassidy and her freinds involved."
 
 "Well, we're involved now, and we've got to find out more about it before the villains get the other peice!" Ace said
 
.BLUE TRIANGLE.
 
 "Yes, I am very sorry for not telling you seven about it, but I had my reasons. The less people knew about it, the better.." King John said as he explained what went on to the team.
 
 "We understand, Sir. We just want to learn some more about it.." Lexi said.
 
 "You'll find everything you need in this book." King John handed them an old, leather-binded book.
 
 "Father, did Andrew and the other villains come here first?" Cassidy asked.
 
 "No, why?"
 
 "How did they know that one peice of the statue was on Acmetroplis and not here?" Tech rubbed his hand to his chin in thought.
 
 Rev scanned the room with his eyes. "Hey! Look up there!" He shouted, pointing to a corner of the ceiling.
 
 Tech gave Cassidy a boost up on to his shoulders, then Slam lifted Tech up. "Can you reach it, Cass?"
 
 "Almost..." Her eyes glowed light blue and so did her arm as it stretched out to reach the object. "Got it!"
 
 Slam set Tech on the ground and Tech caught Cassidy in his arms as she fell.
 
 Tech inspected the device. "A listening device. And I guess this is not yours, Sir."
 
 King John shook his head. "I've never seen that thing before...."
 
 Ace walked forward and looked at the thing. "And I bet you any money that you two can figure out when it was set up and most likely who."
 
 "I can make a pretty sure guess who put it up.." Cassidy said. "Andrew."
 
.RED TRIANGLE.
 
 "Augh!" Tech groaned in frustration, nearly punching the keyboard.
 
 Cassidy faced him. "Okay, Tech, that's the fifth time in the past two minutes you've nearly killed the keyboard... You need a time out."
 
 "Cass.." Tech sighed. "We don't have time for breaks.."
 
 "We don't, but you do.." She answered, pushing his wheeled chair away from the desk.
 
 Just then, the lab doors opened and Ace walked in. Seeing her chance to get Tech to relax for a moment, Cassidy gave the chair a swift kick, sending it gliding through the door.
 
 Ace jumped out of the way and held the doors open. He smirked at Cassidy. "How many times do we gotta tell ya? He's not a toy." He said jokingly.
 
 "Sorry, Ace." Cassidy said with a giggle. "But Tech was near to murdering the computer, so I had to get him to take a break."
 
 Ace's eyes widened. "Really? How come?"
 
 "We've been trying to backtrace the signal from the bug Andrew planted, and we keep losing the connection. We've spent the past half an hour searching for it."
 
 "No luck, huh?"
 
 Cassidy shook her head and continued to work away at tracing the bug. Ace studied her curiously. He could tell that half of her mind was somewhere else, focusing on something different. He then saw a quick look of pain in her eyes. He knew that this mission was bringing back unwanted memories for her.
 
 Ace gave her shoulder a small squeeze and exited the lab.
 
 Cassidy looked up in confusion, wondering what made him do that.

.YELLOW TRIANGLE.

 "Did Cassidy kick you out of the lab again?" Lexi asked as she saw Tech enter the kitchen.

 "Yeah." Tech said as he poured himself a cup of coffee.

 "Awww, Tech, you know she's just worried about you. After all, it has only been a month since you were in the hopsital."

 "Yeah, Tech. You know that any little thing could send you back into coughing your lungs out even though you've been perfectly fine for the past three weeks but still we wouldn't want that to happen, now would we?" Rev rambled.

 "Too true." Tech stood up. "I'm gonna go see if she'll let me in." Tech said with a chuckle, exiting the room.

A Few Minutes Later....

BOOM!

 "What the heck was that?" Duck asked as the tower shook and the lights flickered.

 "Grabula come from lab!" Slam said, worried

 "You're right, Slam, it did come from the lab!" Ace jumped up and ran towards the lab, with the others in pursuit.

 As they reached the lab, Tech and Cassidy came out, coughing and choking. Tech held a fire extinguisher, pointing and firing it into the room. Smoke poured out of the lab, surrounding the Loonatics.

 "Tech!" Ace coughed. "What happened?"

 Tech gave one last cough before shutting the lab doors. "We finally found the connection..."

 "And began a backtrace..." Cassidy continued.

 "But we accidently opened some sort of hidden file on the device's memory card.."

 "Which uploaded a virus on to the computer..."

 "So a virus did this?" Lexi asked.

 "Not quite, it tricked the computer's power control to believe there was a lightning strike...." Tech started.

 "Which caused the back-up generator to come on...."

 "Which caused a power surge...."

 "Boom?" Slam guessed.

 Both coyotes nodded. "Yep."

 "Were you two able to figure out anything?" Ace asked.

 Suddenly, a blinding flash of light appeared behind the seven, startling them. They turned around and gasped at what they saw.

 Behind them stood five anthros, all males. One was a rabbit, the other beside him a coyote, along with a roadrunner, a duck, and a tasmanian devil. The rabbit had ice-blue eyes and wore a black uniform with yellow parts, including an upside down triangle. 

 The coyote had vibrant lime green eyes and a similar uniform to the rabbit's, except his was black and green

 The duck had the same icy-coloured eyes as the rabbit and a similar uniform, only orange.

 The roadrunner had bright, yet dark, green eyes and a black and red uniform.

 The tasmanian devil had dark reddish eyes and a black and purple uniform.

 Duck's hands flew to his head in panic. "CLONES!"

 "No clones!" The tasmanian devil responded.

 "Yeah," Added the duck. "We're not clones, wise guy.."

 "Then who exactly are you?" Tech questioned.

 "We are you..." The coyote began.

 "From the future!" The roadrunner finished.

 Duck blinked in confusion, then continued to panic. "CLONES!"

 Ace grabbed a hold of Duck's beak, then stepped in between the strangers and his team. "So, if you really are us, then where are the goils?"

 The five strangers exchanged sad looks. "That's why we're here...."

Chapter 3: "Flash Forward"

 "Okay, so we stole a hunk of rock. Yay for us." Weathervane said non-enthusiastically.

 "What exactly does it do?" Mastermind asked, picking up the half statue and inspecting it.

 Andrew snatched it away from her. "For your information, this is an anceint artifact from my home planet."

 "That doesn't answer my question." Mastermind taunted him.

 Andrew glared at Mastermind, growling. "It's called the 'Tempa Loada.' Legend says that when it is put in one peice, it has the ability to control time."

 "There's one more peice?!" Sypher groaned.

 "Yes," Optimatus came into the room, having overheard them. "One more chance for us to eliminate those pests!"

.ORANGE TRIANGLE.
 
 The seven Loonatics exchanged horrified looks. Ace broke the silence. "You... ya don't mean....?"
 
 Future Ace held out his hand. "The goils are fine as far as we know...."
 
 "Well, then, what happened to them?" Tech inquired.
 
 "They've been kidnapped." Future Rev said.
 
 "Would this be the wrong time to make a scarcastic comment?" Duck asked.
 
 All of them looked at Duck. "Yes."
 
 "We need your help to get them back." The Future Loonatics said together.
 
 "We'd love to help, but..." Ace began
 
 "How?" Lexi finished.
 
 "It might be easier if we show you..." future Duck held out his wrist and pressed a button on his watch. A strange light was emitted from it, forming a wormhole like portal.

 Duck backed away. "Nuh-uh! I ain't goin' in there!"

 Ace looked at each of his teammates. 'Lexi and Cassidy, gone? If they're telling the truth, then they really need us, but what if they're lying?' He thought for a moment. 'No, we can't take a chance. Besides, they do look and act exactly like us!'

 With his mind made up, Ace stepped forward. "Let's do this." He stepped into the wormhole.

 Lex, Cassidy, Duck, Tech, Rev, and Slam glanced at each other before following Ace.
 The Loonatics looked around in disbelief. Acmetropolis seemed even more dark and dreary than usual, and half of the buildings were destroyed. There was rubble everywhere.
 
 "Wha.. what happened?" Lexi whispered.
 
 "This is Acmetropolis of the not-too-distant future." Future Tech explained.
 
 "Exactly how distant?" Cassidy asked.
 
 "This is the year 2781, Exactly seven years from where you are."
 
 "It's been like this for months now, ever since Optimatus and Andrew took over Acmetropolis... and kidnapped the goils." Future Ace said.
 
 Future Ace and Tech looked at each other and nodded. "Follow us, there's a few somebodies you should meet...."

 The Loonatics hesitantly followed their future selves inside. HQ had quite changed compared to the way it usually is. They stared around in disbelief. 

 Cassidy and Lexi suddenly felt small tugs on their arms. They looked down and found three young kids, two were bunnies, and the third was a coyote.
 
 All of them looked up at Lexi and Cassidy with hopeful eyes. "Mommy?" They asked.

 The two girls felt their hearts being ripped out. The kids looked so sad, so scared.
 
 "This is Vanessa Bunny and Ace Bunny Junior." Future Ace introduced.

 Future Tech introduced the coyote. "This is Cale E. Coyote." The girl had bright, olive-green eyes, long, fire-red hair, and mahogany-brown fur.

 Vanessa had silver-grey fur, greyish-blue eyes and blonde hair, while A.J. had emerald green eyes and very light brown fur.

 Lexi knelt down beside the two bunnies. "I'm really sorry, but I'm not exactly your mommy." She answered softly.

 Cassidy, too crouched down beside the little coyote. She was the youngest out of the three. The girl looked at her. "You're not my mommy, either?" She asked, half crying.

 "No, I'm sorry." Cassidy felt close to tears, herself.

 Tech and Ace were speechless for a while. Then, they knew what they had to do. They had to find that statue and turn everything right. They had to help them find future Lexi and Cassidy, before it was too late. Simultaneously, they crouch down beside the little ones and said, "Don't worry, we are going to help find your mothers."

 Cale looked up at Tech. "Really?"

 "Really."

 Tech was suddenly tackled in a large hug from the girl as she squealled, "Oh, thank you mister who-looks-strangely-like-my-father thank you!" At first, Tech wore a shocked expression, but his face softened as he felt the little girl's arms wrapped around him.

 Vanessa and A.J. also tackled Ace in thank-you hugs. Ace smiled and rubbed their heads with his hands. "You're welcome." Lexi caught the soft look on Ace's face. She raised her eyebrow at him questioningly. Ace just shrugged.

 Cale then let go of Tech and jumped into the arms of her real father. "Oh, Daddy! Did you hear? These nice people are going to help you and Uncle Rev and Uncle Ace and Uncle Duck and Uncle Slam and Aunty Rachelle find Mommy and Aunty Lexi!" She exclaimed excitiedly.
 
 Future Tech hugged her back. "Yes, I heard, Princess."

 Rev blinked. "Wait! Did she just say, 'Aunty Rachelle?'"
 
 From behind them came a familiar voice. "Yes, she did, Rev."

 The Loonatics turned around in shock. "Rachelle?!"

 The female road runner nodded, smiling. "It's me!"

 Rev's mouth fell open and he began stammering. "Buuut.. h... how?"

 The smile disappeared from her face. "I'm sorry, I can't tell you..."

 "Why?"

 "Because... I just can't. But you will find out.. One day.."

 Rev's bottom lip started quivering. "But but but but but..."

 "I'm sorry, Rev..."

 "We should get you guys back..." Future Ace cut in.

 "Here, take these..." Future Tech handed them each a large,watch-like object. "This way you can get a hold of us.. They are personal time-travelers. Use them wisely, you will need them soon...."
 
 "Okay why?" Duck asked, staring blankly at his.
 
 "You'll find out..." Future Rev said.
 
 Future Tech pressed the button on his watch, and the same, wierd wormhole appeared. Ace led the others into it. They reappeared in their HQ.
 
 The seven exchanged freaked out expressions, as is wondering what they saw was real.
 
 Ace blinked and turned to face Tech and Cassidy. "What was I saying?"
 
 "You asked us wether or not we found anything on the bug." Tech answered.
 
 "Ahhhh.. so, did ya?"
 
 "Yes, it was installed by Andrew about four months ago.... Right after we were broken up..." Cassidy added slowly.
 
 "That doesn't add up. Why'd he bug the palace before he met the other villains?" Lexi asked.
 
 Tech rubbed his chin in thought. "Unless..."
 
 Tech and Cassidy looked at each other, eyes wide. "That was his plan all along!"

 "I can't believe him!" Cassidy moaned, mad and upset. "Capturing Maria and father, nearly killing Tech.... The whole thing was a set up!"

 "Set us up to knock us down again..." Ace murmered. "He had to try and get us back together so Cassidy wouldn't be in the way when we went to steal the statue."
"And to try and knock my confidence...." Cassidy added.

 "We should tell Zadavia what you guys found.. Maybe she'll be able to tell us a bit more of what's going on..." Ace said, leading the others into the main room.

 The moment they walked into the room, the hologram alarm went off. But, the hologram wasn't Zadavia's.

 "Maria?! What's wrong?!" Cassidy gasped, recognizing her sister's panic-striken face.

 "It's Andrew! He and some other people are trying to break in!" Before she could say anything else, the hologram disappeared.

 'No! He's not going to get her or father! I won't let him this time!'

There was a pause, then Tech stretched out his arms and smiled warmly. "Come here, you need a hug."
 
 Cassidy smiled. "Yes, I do." She moved closer and wrapped her arms around Tech. Tech pulled her tight, resting his head over hers.
 
 "Tell me we're gonna get her back. Tell me she's gonna be okay... Please.." Cassidy whispered, buring her face into Tech's chest.
 
 Tech gently rocked her back and forth, whispering into her ears. "We're gonna get her back. Everything will be okay... I promise.." He kissed the top of her head, stroking her hair softly.
 
 Cassidy sniffled a bit. "Thank you, Tech... I just needed to hear someone say that."
 
 Tech smiled and reached for Cassidy's blanket. He wrapped it around her, feeling her shivering and hoping to get her to fall asleep. Tech thought back to the events of the past day. It was a bit of a blur. The thing he couldn't get out of his head was Cale. He still couldn't believe it. His daughter. Well, not yet, but one day. Not just his daughter... Cassidy's as well. He knew he loved Cassidy with all of his heart, he just never thought about it like that. Cale was a beautiful, adorable little girl, so sweet and energetic. Just like Cassidy.
 
 Then it hit him. Cale would be his daughter. His daughter. He would be a father. A father. Tech's heart flew into a rythm of panicked, rapid beating. 'I wouldn't know what to do! I... don't know what it's like to be a father! I could mess everything up!'
 
 Cassidy's eyes flickered open, feeling Tech's heart pounding in his chest. She gazed up at him. "Is the Loonatics' resident genuis and Mister Fix-It scared?"
 
 "No, not scared.... just..... afraid."
 
 Cassidy studied his eyes. "Tech, you are going to be a great father."
 
 "But, Cass, I have no experience with children."
 
 "That may be true, but it's clear to see that Cale loves her father. Do you remember how she jumped into her father's arms, your arms, Tech?"
 
 "I know, but I'm still not sure..."
 
 "All I know is that you've been a big part of my life, Tech.... And someday you're going to be a big part of Cale's, too."
 
 Tech hugged her tighter. "Thanks, Cass. I really needed that."
 
 She looked up at him again. "Has anyone ever told you that you look cute in your pjs?" She asked with a giggle.
 
 Tech chuckled. "Only you... and my mom, until I was twelve." Cassidy giggled more and hugged him. "Has anyone ever told you that?" He asked.
 
 "No, only you."
 
 Tech smiled. "Good."
 
 Cassidy straightened up. "Oh, do I hear some potential jealousy?"
 
 "Nooooo..." Tech said innocently. "I'm just curious."
 
 Then, yellow-green eyes met dark brown as the pair gazed at each other. Tech gently nuzzled Cassidy's neck, causing her to nearly melt in his arms. "I love you, Cass." He whispered into her ear.
 
 "I love you, too." She replied with all of her heart.

Chapter 5: "Ransom Call"
 
 "We're doomed! Doomed I tell you!" Duck shouted in panic, buring his head in his hands.
 
 The seven Loonatics, along with Zadavia and King John were assembled together in Loonatics HQ.
 
 "Ace, Duck is right. Now that the villains have the statue, we are in major trouble." Lexi unwillingly agreed.
 
 Finally the Loonatics had found their chance to explain everything they had learned to Zadavia, right down to their surprise guests.
 
 "No, we can't let them get us like that. We may have another chance to stop them. We've got to." Ace said, looking at Tech. The two exchanged worried expressions and knew they were thinking the same thing. The Future Loonatics didn't know if Future Lexi and Cassidy were alright. They were only hoping. The girls' lives could be in grave danger.
 
 "They can't put the statue together yet... They have to wait until a full moon." King John said.
 
 "Which, according to this weather report, is tonight." Tech said.
 
 "Did I mention we're doomed?" Duck asked.
 
 "Enough, Duck!" Zadavia snapped, surprising the Loonatics, especially Duck. "Is there any way you can track them?" Her voice softed as she focused her gaze on Tech and Cassidy.
 
 Cassidy shook her head. "No, they've gone underground. Just like Andrew did last time we dealt with him."
 
 "Andrew probably helped them with that...." Ace paced back and forth behind his teammates. Rev stood up and followed him in pacing. "Is there anything else we should know about this statue Sir?"
 
 "It's an anceint artifact, believed to be able to control time...."
 
 "Believed? You mean, it's never been tried?" Cassidy asked, sounding hopeful.
 
 "Yes, Aurora. Nobody for four generations has been able to put it together and use it. And that is because it's been locked away in the palace all that time."
 
 "What about before then?" Rev questioned.
 
 "Nobody knows. It could have been used, but any and all data has been destroyed from then." King John said with a bit of a shrug. "And no one who is still alive knows, neither."
 
 "So, Tech, you two are certain that there is no way to track them down?" Ace asked, seeming unusually on edge.
 
 "I'm having the computer scan for any and all signs of them." Tech said simply, unsure of the leader's sudden change of attitude.
 
 Cassidy opened her mouth to speak, but then closed it. Ace noticed this. "Do you have something you'd like to say?"
 
 Tech looked at him in surprise. That was completely un-like Ace to put anybody, let alone crowd-shy Cassidy, on the spot like that.
 
 Cassidy blinked in surprise, then stammered slightly. "I wanted to say.. that I wanted to watch the scan while you guys are sleeping. After all, it's my fault Andrew got near Maria."
 
 Ace's face softened at the girl's obvious worry and love for her sibling. "I'm sorry for snappin' at all of ya... " He faced Cassidy. "You will be able to do that, because we are all going to take turns so we all get a decent rest. Okay?"
 
 Cassidy nodded.
 
.GREEN TRIANGLE.

 Tech sat up in bed. He glanced at the clock beside his bed. '2:03 A.M.' it read. 'Why did I wake up now of all times?' He wondered. Then he realized the strange feeling in the pit of his stomach. He had been so tired he hadn't even eaten dinner with the others. On top of that, his appetite still wasn't completely intact ever since his experience in the hospital. He wasn't sure if it was the plague or the hospital food that ruined his appetite. 

 Tech walked into the main room of HQ, still rubbing the sleep from his eyes. Much to his surprise he found Cassidy sitting in front of the computer, her light blue blanket wrapped tight around her. He walked up to her and set his hands on her shoulders. Cassidy jumped, having not known he was there. "Cass? What are you doing up?" Tech asked with concern. "Your turn doesn't start for another two hours."
 
 "I couldn't sleep. So, I convinced Duck to let me take his shift and mine."
 
 Tech sat down in a chair beside her. "You need to get some sleep, or else you're not gonna be focused tomorrow.."
 
 "I know... but I can't sleep."
 
 Tech gazed at her. "Are you worried about Maria?"
 
 Cassidy nodded. "Andrew didn't get close to you and he almost killed you, Tech. Now he has Maria hostage.... I don't want to lose her like I almost lost you..."

 The alarm woke up the other Loonatics, who came running into the room.
 
 Tech and Cassidy were typing away at the computer. "What'cha two got?" Ace asked.
 
 "We have an incoming transmission.." Tech answered.
 
 "From who?" Lexi asked, poking her head in between the two coyotes.
 
 "That we are not sure yet..." Cassidy trailed off.
 
 A familiar face appeared on the computer screen. The atmosphere automatically tensed.
 
 "What do you want Optimatus?" Ace hissed.
 
 "And what did you do with my sister?!" Cassidy demanded.
 
 "Little Miss Princess is fine, for now. We will release her on one condition."

 Ace folded his arms across his chest. "We're listenin'....."

 "You, Ace, must surrender the Gaurdian Strike Sword..."

 "What makes you think I'm gonna do that?"

 Suddenly, a shrill scream could be heard.

 "Maria!!!" Cassidy cried, afraid of what they might be doing to her sister. Tech put his arms around her.

 "Where and when?" Ace asked sternly, throwing a concerned look at Cassidy, who was clinging to Tech.

 "Mallory is sending you the coordinates right now. Oh, and there's one other thing I forgot to mention....."

 Ace sighed. "Oh brother.."

 "You must come alone, unarmed. The team stays home. You must be at the meeting point in ten minutes. Otherwise the girl dies."

*gasp* NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO D: MARIAAAAAAAAAAAAA!!!

I am sorry to say that due to uncontrollable circumstances (School work and my new job) it will be a while before I can update the story. I am working on it, I just don't have a lot of time to do so.

So, as an apology and 'peace offering' I am giving you guys a sneak peek into the next chapter! I hope you enjoy!

 "Cassidy! Are you able to control this fire? Duck can't keep up with it!" Ace shouted above the roaring flames.

 "I can't, Ace! My powers are creating fire, not controlling it!" Cassidy answered, her voice ringing with fear as the eight were slowly being trapped.

 "Cassidy!" Duck yelled, getting the girl's attention. "You're wrong! Your father told me that your powers do include controlling fire! You can do this!"

 Maria threw Duck a confused and terrified look. Duck put a finger to his lips, telling her to keep quiet.

 Cassidy bit her lip. 'It must be true. None of the guys would tell me something like that if it wasn't true. Not even Duck.' She closed her eyes, concentrating on the flames in front of her. Her whole body glowed light blue, slowly enveloping the bonfire around her and her friends.

 At first, it seemed as if it wasn't working, and the flames grew larger. Cassidy gave out a small howl as she struggled to control the flames. Then, they died down slowly, until they finally vanished. 

 Cassidy stopped glowing and passed out, landing on the floor unconscious. Tech ran to her side, cradling her small body in his arms.

 Maria knelt beside Tech. "I'll watch her and Duck, you go help the others."
 
 Tech nodded and handed Cassidy to her sister, running off to aid the others.

 Duck sat down beside Maria, weak from trying to control the wildfire. He watched silently as Maria stroked her younger sister's forehead, her face painted with worry.

 "Hey, Don't worry about her. She's gonna be fine." Duck said.

 Maria looked up at Duck and smiled. "Thank you, Duck. For this, and for saving my life." Maria bent closer to him and kissed his cheek.

 Duck blinked and his cheeks turned red. He was about to say something when Cassidy began to stir.

 "Tech.." She mumbled, trying to sit up. Her brown eyes opened and she looked at Duck. "Duck, we've got to help the others..."

 Duck shook his head. "I'll go help them, you stay here."

 Maria grabbed Duck's shirt and pulled him back down. "You're both too weak to get up, you're staying here."

OH MAH GOSH YES! AN UPDATE! I wasn't able to go to school today coz I'm feeling sick, so I took the opportunity to catch up on my stories. Hope you enjoy! 

 Chapter 6: "Three Strikes, They're Out"
 
 "Ace, you are not seriously considering going in alone!" Lexi said, her face almost pale with worry.
 
 "I have to, Lex." Ace answered, grabbing his sword. He motioned with his head for them to follow. The six exchanged confused looks but trailed their leader into the hallway. Once there, he faced the team. "Don't any of you worry, I'm not that dumb. Lex, you'll be my main back up, and you'll hit them from the behind. Rev, Slam, you two will counter-attack from the sides, while Tech and Duck trail me. You all keep outta sight until I give you the signal."

 "Ace?" Cassidy asked. "What about me? What do I do?"

 "You and your family are too big of targets right now, you're staying home."

 "I know that you know that this mission is hard for me, but I can take care of myself!" She blurted. "You should know, you taught me how..."
 
 Ace smiled. "Okay."

 It took Cassidy only a second to realize that Ace had meant to take her on the mission all along. He had just been testing her.

 "You're not gonna give them your sword, are you?" Duck asked, sounding unusually concerned.

 "Depends..." Ace faced Tech and Cassidy. "How long do you think it'll take for you to build a fake?"

 "Give us five minutes and we'll have an exact replica." Tech answered.

 "Okay, and where do we have to meet them?"

 Tech pulled out his palm computer. "According to these coordinates, Sari's historical museum."

 "That's where they have to go to put the statue together." Cassidy added.

 "It will take us exactly five minute to get there." Rev said, peeking at Tech's mini computer.

 "That's cuttin' it a little close, but it'll have to do." Ace mumbled.

 "We're on it, Cheif!" Tech called as he, Cassidy, and Rev ran off towards the lab.

 Duck and Slam returned to their rooms to get dressed, as all of them were still in their pjs, leaving Ace and Lexi alone.

 Lexi threw her arms around Ace's neck. "Don't scare me like that ever again!"

 Ace hugged her back. "You didn't think I was stupid enough not to see that it was a trap, did ya?" His face softened. "Sorry for scaring, you, Lex."

.YELLOW TRIANGLE.

 "You guys almost finished?" Ace asked as he, Lexi, Duck, and Slam came into the lab. Cassidy was busy at the computer, studying skematics on the screen, and Rev and Tech were standing over a bunch of metal.

 "It's proving to be more difficult than we thought, but we're just about done..." Tech said as he picked up a screwdriver.

 Suddenly, the computer began making strange noises. "What? No!" Cassidy screeched as she attempted to figure out what was wrong. Tech walked up behind her, typing on the same keyboard as her. Their fingers moved so fast you could barely see them, and, to the other's amazement, didn't bump into each other.

 "Do you get the feeling that they've had practice doing that?" Duck asked, earing a smack from Slam.

 When sparks started to come from the computer, Tech wrapped his arms around Cassidy and pulled her away from the machine. He shielded her with his body as the computer's screen popped out and crashed on the desk.

 The seven stared in confusion. Tech broke the silence. "My baby.. it..."

 "It just french-fried!" Cassidy finished.

 "Sweet meep-meep!" Rev added.

 "Grabula okay?!" Slam asked, worried.

 "Yeah, we're fine..." Tech asnwered.

 "Only damage down is to the computer.." Rev continued.

 "And our egoes..." Cassidy finished.

 Tech looked down at his watch. "We only have five and a half minutes left!"

 Lexi looked down at the pile of scrap metal on the desk, having been affected by the computer's small explosion. "And I don't think this is going to fool the villains for long...."

 "I'll have to take the real thing... alright.... Get ready, gang, and remember, our first priority is gettin' Maria outta there alive. We'll worry about the statue later..."

.RED TRIANGLE.

 "You only had ten seconds left.... a little close for comfort, huh?" Optimatus said.

 "But I made it, didn't I?" Ace replied, coming out of the shadows towards the villains. "Where is Maria?"

 Andrew stepped forward, pushing Maria along.

 Duece stood right in front of Ace. "Did you bring the sword?"

 "Yes." Ace said, pulling it out of its usual spot at his side. Duece went to grab it, but Ace pulled away. "Let Maria go, then I'll give it to you."

 Andrew glared at Ace before untying Maria. She scooted quickly to Ace's side.

 "Now about that sword..." Duece said, reaching out for it.

 "Wait!" Mallory called, holding her palm computer. "I've detected six other people in here!"

 They all glared at Ace. Ace glanced at Maria. "Run!" He ordered.

 Maria turned and ran in the direction where Ace and come from, but was cut off by Andrew. He was about to lunge at her, when a blast of green energy blasted him in the back and he fell to the ground. Then, he was pinned to the ground by an extremely ticked-off Cassidy.

 Andrew rolled over and pinned her to the ground. "You won't be able to go through with this, sis. Wanna know why?" He didn't wait for her to respond. "Because I am your brother, and you know it."

 Cassidy growled at him. "I let that get in the way of my duty last time. I'm not going to make the same probie mistake." She kicked him in the stomach. "No matter what happens, I will always think of you as the person who tried to murder Maria, Father, and Tech!"

 "Incoming!" Lexi yelled as she lept after Sypher. Her foot came into contact into with Sypher's back, sending him to the floor. She pinned him down. "Maria!" She called to the older coyote. "Want your powers back?"

 Maria smiled and ran up to Lexi, setting her hand on Sypher's. Her eyes glowed peach as her powers returned to her. "Thanks, Lexi."

 "No problem." She replied. Suddenly, a lightning bolt landed a few feet from them, and Lexi grabbed Maria's arm and the pair ran for cover. Lexi poked her head from their hiding place and brain-blasted at Weathervane. Weathervane returned fire, and so did Lexi. Maria noticed a rug under Weathervane's feet. Maria's eyes glowed peach again as the carpet flew out from underneath the villainess, sending her to the floor. Maria and Lexi high-fived.
 
 "Three servings of eggs comin' right up!" Duck called, his eyes glowing orange. He skillfully fired his eggs at Pinkster and his thugs. He turned around to see Sypher and Weathervane on their feet again and cornering Lexi and Maria. Weathervane prepared to fire at them. Duck quacked inbetween the villains and the girls. He shoved Lexi out of the way of Weathervane's lightning bolt and grabbed Maria's arm, disappearing with her.
 
 Mallory gave out a girly giggle as she pulled out a cannon-like object. "This ought to keep those pests busy..." She fired it. From one nozzle it squirted out a black liquid. She aimed it at the floor where the Loonatics were. Their boots slid in the liquid.
 
 "EEWW! What is this stuff?" Lexi squealed, trying not to fall in it.
 
 "Oil!" Tech and Cassidy gasped at the same time, exchanging looks of fear.
 
 Mastermind pressed the other tigger on her gun. Large, orange-red flames flew to the oil on the floor, growing even larger.
 
 Duck concentrated and threw water eggs at the flames, trying to extinguish them, while the other Loonatics huddled around Maria, trying to keep her safe.

 "Cassidy! Are you able to control this fire? Duck can't keep up with it!" Ace shouted above the roaring flames.

 "Comin' right up.." Andrew growled, running towards him with one half in his hands.

 Mallory grabbed the other half and chased after Andrew. Andrew snatched the other peice away from Mallory and quickly assembled them.
 
 "I've got it! Let's go!" Andrew shouted.
 
 Weathervane blasted a bolt of lightning at Lexi. Lexi managed to aviod it, but was sent flying by the force of the blast. She landed on her stomach on the floor.
 
 Meanwhile, Ace and Duece were in the middle of a sword fight. Ace blocked Duece's sword with his own. He jumped back and forward again, kicking Duece in the stomach. Duece stayed standing, but doubled-over a bit in pain. Ace flipped over him and gave him one last kick, this time in the back.
 
 Duece remained motionless for a moment, and Ace relaxed a little. Hearing Lexi scream, his attention was yanked away. Duece took this opportunity to jump behind Ace, kick him to the floor, and pin him down. Duece brought his sword extremely close to Ace's neck.
 
 "Let's go!" Optimatus shouted.
 
 Duece blinked and looked away. Ace grinned and blasted him off.   
 
 All of the villains were gathering around. Andrew held the statue up, and a large, wormhole-like portal appeared.
 
 "NO!" Ace yelled, leaping up and charging at the escaping villains. He reached out to grab them, but the wormhole-like portal disappeared just as he reached it. Ace landed roughly on the floor.
 
 Ace picked himself up off the floor, looking at each of his teammates. Lexi was by his side, Rev and Slam nearby, all of them with similar worried looks. Tech, holding a barely-conscious Cassidy in his arms, with Duck trying, and failing, to stand up. Maria was sitting beside Tech.
 
 "We.... We lost..." Ace stammered, not really believing what just happened.
 
 "We seem to be doing that alot lately...." Lexi added.
