All right, I'll try my best not to sound like a raving looney but something is bugging me.
Enough with all this Army stuff!
OK it was funny at first but we've been doing nothing BUT talk in the army topics, the harem topics and so on.
I mean army for our favorite characters, I get that, an OC Army.... Ummmm sounds kind of like vain fanfic writers talking now the newest topic hog the Dace Army WHAAAAA!?!
All I'm saying is I'm kind of sick of the top three topics always being some Army/Harem thread
Can we think of new things to talk about? Pleeeaaase?
Beside don't those people relaise that Duck and Ace are STRAIGHT and are just friendly foes/ fighting friends [just like Tech and Rev are straight and are best friends (even they sometimes fight like they're brothers) ]!
Cause Duck has an obsessive crush on Misty Breeze, Ace found Black Velvet attractive, and not to mention they both thought that the Apolyzons are good-looking.

Don't get me wrong, because I personally don't care for Dace or Tev or any other slash pairing, but I do happen to have friends who do and so for their sake, c'mon, people are allowed to fantasize. -shrug- It's a kid's show... of course they're going to be "straight." Either way, it's certainly nothing new for these random pairing possibilities to pop up. And, well, if you're going to mention stuff like that, don't just mention the slash.
What about pairings like Duxi or Acexi? One could easily say, "Don't those Duxi and/or Acexi shippers realize that they've got it all wrong?!" Frankly, there are no real "official" pairings in the show, so really... people have just as much right to ship for Dace as they do to ship for Acexi. And especially in a show with no official pairings, it's even more likely for these random pairings to pop up. Even if there were canon pairings, there would still be shippers going against the flow, but I think pairings become even more of a craze when all the possibilities are left open.
That's just my opinion. As for the whole army thing, I really don't have a problem with it personally. I mean, if it bothers anyone that the armies are so popular, then those people should create something else to occupy everyone's time here on LUO. Of course, it should always be kept in mind that there's no guarantee anyone will care to participate in a new thread. It really shouldn't be taken to heart if that does happen. People just want to be where they're gonna be kept entertained, and if the armies provide entertainment for the masses, well hey... there's always the whole "if you can't beat 'em, join 'em," phrase to consider.
Honestly Rye? You rule. I think you just about covered everything I had to share on this topic. However, there IS something I feel the need to say.
WB_Fanatic, I know you think you're doing the right thing by staying "true" to the characters and denouncing the various crack pairings and ideals that have popped up. But the thing is, no one person has got the show figured out. Just like any book or movie, people will walk away with different opinions. You have yours; we have ours. Nobody really can say what is true and what isn't, because in the end, it's all in the eye of the beholder.
What you have to do is try and be flexible. This is a forum for discussion, after all. You may not like other people's opinions, but that doesn't mean you have the right to shoot them down and tell them they're wrong. At least listen, and if you don't like what you hear, say so. But don't act like you're the only one whose opinion counts.
There. I'm glad I got that off my chest.

Hehe. -squish- I appreciate that you think so! I was a little worried if I'd said the right things after hitting submit. But perhaps that's just my fear of sharing my opinions... xD
Also, I definitely agree with all you just said, Iggy. -nod- I will admit, I myself am faithful to all things canon, so I can understand where WB is coming from, however, it is very important in any social situation, whether online or off, to be openminded to other's points of view. It's okay to not believe something personally, but when it gets to the point where you make others feel like only you can be right with no room for discussion, thaaat's when it becomes a problem. Don't share if you can't be fair! ...Er, in other words, don't give your opinion if you're not willing to listen to and consider other's opinions. xD
Here, here! Just because Warner Bros haven't made certain things clear in the LU episodes, doesn't mean we can't have fun with it...
Yeah you might be right WBFanatic, they maybe straight. But there can be evidence where they may not be. But isn't it fun for a us fans to wonder and fantasise? I mean, it's a lot more fun to ponder and wonder whether they are gay and do a full on investigation on it, rather than just having one answer and c'est ca.
I'm pretty sick of the armies too, to be honest. And yes, I was the one that pretty much got it all started with the Revvie army. Even so, there's a reason those banners aren't in my sig anymore.
Not to mention the fact that I just don't really like LU anymore. The only thing I like on the show (and likely always will) is Rev.
The only reason that the army topics are popular is because, quite frankly, we've pretty much talked about everything else. *shrug* Without new seasons, we lack new topics... We're going through a dryspell, honestly. =(
