Slam, I can imagine, grew up in Acmetropolis. He may have been bread FROM Tasmanians, but not necessarily born IN Tasmania. His parents sheltered him, because neither of them were particularly capable to speaking proper English. Either that or he had a learning disability and could never quite articulate as well as everyone else. So he kind of got bullied in school. Teachers frowned upon him because he always caused a fuss in class during oral reports, sending the kids into a cruel, humor-filled riot. None of this prolly registered, though. I can imagine that he wafted through life, not worrying about things, because he figured that it would all work itself out. Then, when he decided to drop the rest of high school, as he was failing anyway, he went out on his own, getting what work he could from wherever, until he finally applied to become a wrestler. 83

IMHO, Rev had it kinda tough. His parents always breathing down his neck for good grades, excellent reports, his chores to be completed on time etc. I can see him having grown up in a very strict environment. He got a bit nervous and jittery around his parents that it made me think that maybe he was 'disciplined' once or twice when he was young, scaring him into line. He'd always pushed himself to his limit, striving to do his best so that he wouldn't let his parents down, for fear of that same, disappointed look they got in their eyes whenever he screwed up in his youth. That's why he works so hard in the Loonatics "I won't let you down, Ace!" He wants to know that he's reliable. For his sake and everybody else's. The job, I assume, was just an off-the-side thing for experience.

Ace was a brace-face. Yup. I said it. I love the idea of Ace having braces. I can imagine that he got these around ten, and was bullied for it, driving him to learn how to stick up for himself. I can also see him not having lived with his parents, but his grandfather. His mother and father prolly travelled a lot and could never be bothered seeing him. His grandfather was prolly the one who trained him in the art of martial arts. Maybe he even used this to gain respect in high school... I can actually see him as president of the Student Council in his later years, before a relative or close friend of the family got him a job in a commercial or something, starting off his acting career.

Lexi's mother was a dits. She had her kids when she was young and never made it to college. That's why Lexi told herself that she was going to do better. She studied hard, got into gymnastics at a young age, made a name for herself where it counted, but eventually popularity became a priority and she started to lose focus on her goals. She got onto the cheerleading squad, found a nice little preppy clique, started catching guys' attention (and loved it). Eventually, perhaps, something happened to strike her back on the right course. So she finished school and went on to Uni, taking a side course of cheerleading next to another, more respectable course... Maybe teaching?

Tech, I don't think was necessarily a FAILURE, persay... He just never had anyone BELIEVE he could do it... He was an only child, and like Ace, his parents failed to be around as much as they should have. He came from an upperclass family, but he made little friends at school because he was intimidated by other kids, afraid that they would never accept him for who he was. So he avoided them for fear of rejection, and eventually, he decided that he preferred it that way. He stopped avoiding people because he was afraid and started avoiding them because he generally didn't want their company. He could accomplish far greater things without their presence and general ridicule... Or so he thought... DUN DUN DUNNNNNN! (I do not know why that was appropriate, but it SEEMED like a good idea at the time) 83

I think he remembers his father and his mother. They were never particularly fond of him or affectionate toward him, but he remembers them. Perhaps he'd felt he'd done something wrong when they dropped him off at the orphanage at the age of four... By this time, he'd begun to reflect his father's bitter behaviour (as children actually DO this), and around the age of seven, the institution he was in wore off on him (I've ranted about the effects that orphanages and stuff have on children, so you should ALL have learnt by now). After he was picked up by his adoptive parents, he was kind of distant. This upsetted his "father", who persisted that they should adopt another child. Which they did. A little girl. Because Duck mentioned a sister in IAS. But not long after, Duck's "mother" became pregnant, a shocking revelation for both her and her husband, as they'd been told beforehand that concieving was impossible. Unfortunately, the child was a still-born, which set the "father" over the edge. Eventually, the "mother" divorced him. Her husband got custody over Duck's sister and Duck remained with his mother. Any child can tell you that a divorce is a terrible ordeal (/I/ could tell you, as my parents went through a particularly sticky separation).

Eventually he drove himself into the wrong crowd... I like to think that he did some things that he was never particularly proud of... Maybe he got into drugs... Maybe he committed some sort of crime, like grand theft auto... Maybe he was sent to juvenile prsion for a short time... Maybe all of the above... I dunno, something like that. Around the time he turned 16, he decided to try and get his life back on track... This is where I like to think that maybe he got his first serious girlfriend and maybe... Maybe he got her pregnant tooooooo... It was a rocky decision on both ends, as she didn't want this to tie her down for the rest of her life and he didn't want her to get rid of it... In my mind, she nicked off some time after the child was born, so that Duck had to drop out of school and support him/her by himself. Maybe he had several different jobs - a pool cleaner and a house painter in the summer, a kitchen-hand and a bellboy or something during winter... While his mother baby-sat his kid for him as he worked (he refused any other assistance coz he was stubborn). I believe that he truly loved the child, inspite of his own unstable childhood. I also believe that it was around this time that he started fishing into his past to find his parents... This was when he discovered that, while the man from his toddler years was his biological father, the woman wasn't his mother. His REAL mother died in hospital giving birth to him, the woman he remembered was his father's WIFE, making his mother his father's MISSTRESS (drama! DUN DUN DUNNNN). So, I guess this either really upset him or pi$$ed him off or just finally concluded that he hated any form of parent fate ever offered him... Aside from his dear old Mommy, of course.

As for the kid, I don't believe it survived the meteor... Which is prolly mostly why he's so grumpy and distant with everyone. I also don't think any of the other Loonatics KNOW he had a kid. Mostly because can't bring himself to talk about it... Maybe that's why he hates Tweetums so much... He's so kiddish and it reminds him of his own child... *sadface*
