Actually Ace IS quit a really common name in action movies and TV Shows, and usually the name "Ace" means brave natural-born leader.
I guess Ace's parents made him that cause they think that he'll be a big star one time (back when he used to work at Acmetropolise Studios as a stunt double) like Bugs Bunny was.
As for the rest of the gang,
Lexi is name is a real name, cause I know a girl at my school named Lexi (and that's her real first name)
Rev and Rip got their names that are different meanings of the word "speed" (even though Rip isn't as fast as Rev and his parents).
Tech gets his name cause he must've been born in at a Radio Shack , or it could be for his ability to handle technology since he was little
Slam gets his name cause he likes to smash and break things
As for Duck, his first name remains a mystery to us, but to most fans his first name could be Daniel "Danny" , cause it definetly couldn't be Donnie cause if it was that would made him sound more like a decendant of Donald Duck then Daffy.
Lexi is also the name of a little girl at my school. Her full first name is Alexis, but everyone calls her Lexi or Lex. XD
She's the cutest little girl! *squeals*

Ace, Slam, Tech and Rev are aptly named because some market researchers discovered that viewers in the age bracket from 7 to 11 years take a liking to hip, cool, weird names.

I think a bigger question is... Why was WB so intent on giving the rest of the team weird and wonderful names but chose to give Duck a pathetic and obvious name??
