I understand past tense. It's easier to write, like recording the events in a journal or being in third-person. But in first person...
That's where I need help. If the event is happening now, would I write, "I feel alive"? or, "I felt alive"? Or, "I walk down the hallway,"? "I'm walking down the hallway"? Or, "I walked down the hallway"???
I'm sorry if I'm being confusing, but I really need help with this ;___;
I'm basically asking when writing in first person, would past or present tense work? Or could they both???
Basically First Person is writing about YOU (Practially) and everything is happening NOW
So a couple of examples would be:
I am walking down the stairs I am riding my bike I am playing my guitar etc...
So if you were to include it in an LU story...
'Ace's POV (Whatever that means lol)
I'm walkng though HQ, trying to find out where everyone is, latey I've been feeling as though my team are abandoning me, yes my birthdays soon but, could that be why?
I've heard a noise comig from the training room, Whoes in their?'
So it could basically be like that
Hope this helps, BTW, If you know, What the hell does POV stand for, It's been bugging me for weeks!

Well that's your choice. You can write it in past or present tense. But you can't put both in as it would be very confusing to read. So you can only do it in either past or present tense.
Using first-person present tense only works of you're writing in the form of stream-of-consciousness, otherwise it's pretty inappropriate to use. If you are in fact, however, talking about what's happening to 'you' at that moment of time, then that would be stream-of-consciousness, and therefore it would be deemed appropriate to use the present tense. Otherwise, I strongly recommend using past tense. Present tense in literature is weird.
