Rev sat there for many painstaking minutes, stroking her forehead and calling her name, trying, hoping, praying, that somehow she'd be okay. He could tell that she had reached a temperature beyond her limit, and that was extremely dangerous. There was nothing else he could do but stay with her, encouraging her to fight off the heat..

(Yeah, mainly just random fluff and Rev freakin' out in his mind.... I'm not all that creative this morning. XD)

(o.o................ *faints*)

(*pops back up* I'm okay!!! Cassidy: I beg to differ! XD)

Rev's heart stopped when he thought he felt her move. "Icy? Ice, can you hear me?"

Icy squirmed slightly. "My head...."

Rev felt her forehead once more, when he pulled his hand away, there was sticky red stuff on it. "Oh my gosh Icy! You must have hit your head on something!!!"

Icy just moaned, not really moving....

Rev looked around in panic, wondering what to do. Then it hit him! Tech always kept a first-aid kit in each of their backpacks, just in case! Rev quickly pulled it out and began searching through its contents, until he finally found some antiseptic and a few large bandages. Rev gently wiped some of the antispetic on her wound, that was situated just under her bangs. Icy moaned again and tried to squirm out of Rev's grasp. Rev held her closely. "Easy Ice.... just hold still...." He cooed, continuing to clean out the wound.

(HAHA! SMALL CLIFFAHNGER!!! >8D)

(YAY! AWESOME! 8D)

Ozzie was helping the kid along trying to avoid the fire when there was a sudden creak. He gasped and pushed the girl out of the way as some ceiling beams gave in, totally scorched. Ozzie's sheild broke but he girl's remained.

The ferret coaghed and tried to summon another one but his magic was at its limit. "Okay, stay close okay? *coughcough* He tugged at her shirt and the sniffling girl crawled along.

Ace was getting rid of a eiht foot purple thing when a man ran up to him totally frantic. "Please! Have you seen a girl run out at all?! I think my daughter may still be in there!"

Ace's eyes widened and he looked around until he spotted his teamate. "Duck! Tech! Get some water and get into that building! See if ou can find a little girl in there!"

"On it cheif!"

Icy could recognize Rev's voice through the pounding of her headache and the other sound around her. She knew she was too weak to much, so she held still and trusted Rev to help her.

Rev, having finished cleaning out her wound, was now gently wrapping large bandages with gauze tape around the top of her head to keep any more dirt and stuff out of it.

Finally, Icy opened her eyes slowly. "Hey..." She whispered.

Rev smiled. "Iciana Elizabeth Anne Fox! Don't you ever pull a stunt like that again!" He scolded her gently. "You nearly scared the tail feathers off of me!"

Icy smiled. "Next time I'll try harder."

Rev chuckled and bent over, kissing her forehead softly.

Icy groaned as she squinted her eyes shut. "And call me by my full name again those feathers wont be coming off on their own...."

Duck and Tech ahd grabbed two tanks of water slung around their back, mostly for Duck's water power. They entered the building an looed around, airmasks on tight.

"Where are ya kid?!" Tech called.

Duck dodged a peice of rubel that fell from the ceiling. "Woah! This place is really coming down! AQUA DENSE!" A jet of water emerged from the sprayer and then rose up and formed into Duck's palms. He shot a gun of water forward, clearing a path for the two heroes.


Ozzie was now walking on his two back legs so he could hold his arm up to his face better. He led the gril down a hall and then into an open room that was still aflame. On the other side was the corrdor that led to one of the emergency exits.

"Okay kid, we're going to walk over to that hall now. Be careful..." He let the girl crawl out of the door way first so she could ge into the open but the minute she did the ceiling began to collapse again. Ozzie gasped and backed away from the dangerous rubel with the girl on the other side.

Ozzie looked aruond him at the recent cave in. He was trapped...

(NU! NOT MR. MAGIC FERRET!!! D8)

And with no magic to help him. All he could do was wait and call for help.

"Hello?!" He shouted, being careful not to shout too loudly. "I need a little help!"

Tech and Duck, meanwhile, were fighting thier way in. Duck's water dense abilities were slowly drenching the blaze. Tech's ears pricked. He could hear something. Someone shouting for help.... and.... crying? It must be the little girl! He pushed on further, following the voices. He came closer, until finally he found the little girl crawling on the ground towards him, sobbing. He knelt beside the girl and held his arms out. "Hey there sweetheart... Don't be scared, we're here to help you.... Your mom's waiting for you outside and she's very worried.."

The girl looked up at him and slowly walked up to him. Tech carefully picked her up. "Duck! I found the girl!"

"Great! Let's get out of here!" Came the reply.

Ozzie coughed and called out a again. "HEEEELP!!!!" He sighed as he sat back on his tail. He had but one last thing to try with what little magic he had.

"My friends are outside,
while I'm in a mess.
Magic of the Ferret Stone,
send out an SOS!"

Light flared form his jewel and started to blink within a rythem.

Ic's ears perked up and her eyes became wide as she hurt the faint pulsing.

Rev co.cked his head to one side. "What is it?"

Icy became cross eyed in confusion. "I...think its Ozzie..."

Icy attempted to stand up, but just wobbled and fell over. Rev caught her before she hurt herself further. "Nuh-uh, Icy! You're not going anywhere! You stay right here. You're much too weak! I'll go find Ozzie!"

Rev zipped into the building and looed around. Turning his GPS on his eyes glew red. He scanned aroud and eventually found where there was a small, faint life force. Rev spotted the blocked door way and went to move it. He haeaved the embered wood out of the way and then his eyes widened when he saw the little black heap of fur on the ground.

Rev bent down nad picked up the limb ferreet carefully. It...didnt look like he was breathing.

Rev shook hs head sadly and then headed outside...

Tech and Duck soon left the burning building. The girl coughed a few times, then spotting her dad she squealed. "Daddy!"

The man smiled widely as he ran up to Tech and his daughter. "Emily! Thank goodness you're safe!"

The little girl jumped out of Tech's arms and ran to her father. The man scooped her up in a big bear hug.

Tech watched this reunion with a smile on his face. It always made him happy when there was a good ending, but this one seemed special to him...

Then he knew why....

He would be a father soon, too...


Meanwhile, Icy sat where she was, waiting for Rev. Upon seeing him run out of the burning building, she again attempted to stand up. She wobbled a bit, but managed to stay straight. She soon caught sight of the limp ferret in Rev's hands. "OZZIE!"

Icy took the ferret gently and nudged him. "Ozzie! Hey! I told you to stay behind!" She said with extreme concern. The ferret didn't move however, nor made a sound. Icy fel her eyes water up and she held him close.

Through her crying she heard something like a soft ping and she looked down at the ferret. A light blinked from the stone and formed a gold circle around him. Ozzie sat up shaking his head. He gasped for breath and then wiped his forehead. "Ah man! That was aweful! I hate putting my body in isolation but at least it keeps the smoke from entering my lungs..."

"OZZIE!" Icy hugged him tighter and the ferret gagged.

"Gah!"

Rev sighed in relief. "Thank goodness........."

Meanwhile, Cassidy was snuggled up in the blankets, almost kinda asleep, when Mairi spoke up. "Want me to make a quilt for the baby?" She asked. "I always make quilts for my neices and nephews."

Cassidy smiled. "That would mean a lot... to all three of us..... Thanks, Mairi.... You've really been a big help for me."

(I was telling Xtream through MSN that it was funny because in the Avalon series a girl by the name Emily looks after Ozzie XD)

The firefighters had gotten to the lab and were putting out the fire. Duck thought he could be a little showoffy and used one of the hooses as a power source for his aqua dense and was able to put the entire building out in three shots.

The cheif firefighter thanked the Loonatics and even gave Ozzie a little silver medal.

Ozzie laughed as he grinned down at the silver and blue ribbon tied around his neck. "Aw cool!"

Icy smiled at the ferret on her shoulder as he continued to polish it. "It suits you!"

Tech smiled. "Finally, now, if you'll excuse me...."

"Where ya goin' Tech?" Rev called after the scientist as he fired up his jetback.

"Cassidy needs me." He answered calmly, taking off.

Back at the hotel, Mairi and Cassidy were searching through one of Mairi's magazines, picking out colour schemes that would suit both a girl AND a boy. (see what I did thar?)

Duck walked behind the lyre bird and leant his forearms on her shoulder blades. "Miss me?"

Mairi looked up at the mallard in awe. "Did... Did you really do all that bubby??" She asked.

Duck looked between Icy and Mairi, then over at Cass, who was looking at him in a curious yet sleepy manner.

"Uh. Yeah!" He finally struck one of his typical heroic poses. "It sure WAS a good thing I was there! Who knows how the situation would have ended without my stamina and quick-thinking. Not to mention my handsome good looks..."

Mairi giggled childishly whilst Cassidy rolled her eyes and nestled down further in the blankets.

Tech knelt beside Cassidy and gave her a kiss on her cheek. He noticed the magazine she and Mazz had been looking though. "What's this?" He asked.

"Uh..." She glanced from Tech to the others, then down at her belly.

"OOooooohhhh...." Tech smiled ackwardly.

"We should tell them, Tech." Cassidy said quietly.

But Duck overheard. "Tell us what?"

Tech and Cassidy looked at each other, then nodded. "Well... you guys may have noticed some..... changes in my behaviour recently...." Cassidy began slowly.

Duck just stared at her, completely confused.

"I just wanted you guys to know that.... well........ you're all gonna be aunts and uncles soon!" Cassidy smiled.

Rev, Slam, Duck (And anyone else Danielle might have missed that doesn't know) just blinked.......

Cassidy giggled. "I'm pregnant, guys!"

Before anyone had time to react, Mairi stood, turned around to face the rest of the team that had piled into the room to hear the news, pointed to her chest defiantly and said loudly, "I'M NEXT!"

"You want to have Tech's baby?? Fine! As if I even care!" Mairi turned around and snuggled Duck ferociously.

"I wanna have YOUR baby, bubby!"

"Whatever."

Everyone shrugged the moment off and began congratulating the other two with hearty smiles and joyous hugs.
