Immediately after Ace uttered those words, a slight gust of wind blew through the main room of HQ; and in an instant Quick was standing on her toes with a big pleading smile on her face not 8 inches away from the yellow hued bunny's.

".............Can I come! Can I COME!! CAN I COME!!!" she chanted rather...quickly in his face.

Ace closed his eyes as his younger teammate more or less yelled right in his face. When she was was finished he opened one eye to see her still pleading smile.

Lexi giggled next to him.

"Por favor?" Quick please'd.

Ace looked his one eyes over to Tech, and raised a questioning eyebrow, as if asking him what to say.

Tech exchanged looks with Ace, and shrugged. This didn't seem like a really dangerous situation, and they both had to admit, Quick HAD been improving a lot in her crime-fighting skills recently.

"WWAAHHH!!" Wailing suddenly came from a bedroom.

Cassidy jumped up. "Oh, Cale!" She ran off to her seven-month old baby. She came back a few minutes later holding little Cale in her arms, cuddling and rocking her back to sleep.

) "YESSSSS!" she slighty hissed, trying to keep quiet and not disturb the baby.

(I'm assuming since Cale is still fairly young, Quint isn't born, thus Quick isn't preggo, and Seth and her aren't married yet.........)

(Sure! I wasn't sure how the other timelines worked out. But I had to have it after Icy's Story, because I want Ice and Rev together, and I didn't want Cass left out because she's preggo, so Cale is seven months old! Old enough for Cass to be away from her for a few hours. ^^)

Cale whimpered a bit, but cuddled up to her mother, falling asleep again. Cassidy smiled at Quick. "You'll love it there, Quick. It's a beautiful place! And all the horses are so sweet!"

Quick's smile dropped. Not to an angry one, more like....to a suddenly horrified one.

"h..h..horses?" she stuttered (D8)

Cassidy gave her a worried look. "Yeah.... horses..... Are you okay?"

Quick blinked.

"Aren't horses...big...and...and huge....and and...like 3 times my size!" Quick's voice got higher and a little more frightened the more she talked.

Duck scoffed. "Well that's what you get when you rush into a mission you don't even know anything about." He crossed his arms and Quick gave him a sharp glare.

Cassidy gave Duck a glare. "SOME horses are that big... But, there are a lot of them exactly your size, if not smaller." She reassured the frightened mouse. "Besides, usually the larger the horse is, the more gentle he is."

Quick looked skeptical, but her friend's words made her feel a bit better...she just hoped none of the horses her size were too 'less gentle'

"Well, ok...if you say so." she nodded.
"I'm gonna go change into my uniform." she started to make a dash for her room.

"Would you go get Seth too Quick!" Tech called after her.
"Si!" the hallway called back.

Sapphire who happened to be in the way merely felt a blast of air when Quick zipped past her. Something must be going on, she'd never seen Quick go that fast before.

"Hey Sapph!" Cassidy greeted the girl, smiling. "We're getting ready for a mission."

"Oh really?" Sapphire beamed, her current cluelessness vanishing. Being fairly new to the team, this was one of her first missions. And from the looks of things, its gonna be huge.

"What about?" she seated herself on the edge of the couch.

"Acme West, a resort the others and I went to for vacation years ago.. Apparently they need our help."

Rev then turned and poked Duck. "You should invite Mazz along."

Duck offered the roadrunner a withering glare. "I don't HAVE to take her EVERYWHERE you know." He insisted.

"I agree with Rev, Duck. I think she'd love visiting there!" Cassidy added. "Plus, she can stay at the resort and watch Cale if she likes."

Sapphire exchanged a quick glance between them, "I think they're right Duck. Mazz will love it there."

She then turned to the room at general, "I have a question though, did you say ranch?"

Duck rolled his eyes. "You SAY Mairi will like it there, but you're questioning the fact that it's a ranch. Well done." He then added a sarcastic clap to his little comment.

(Duck's bitter and I'm not sure why. O_o )

Cassidy adjusted her arms so that she was holding Cale on her hip, leaving one hand free to slap the back of Duck's head. "You should be happy that we're going back. I bet you miss Shadow."

(No, not Souless Shadow, the Shadow in this story is a little orphaned foal that Duck partially adopted during the 'Tics first visit there. "Ow!" After a few seconds, Duck's sudden, pleasant smile betrayed his previous bitter mood.

"I bet he's grown really big by now." He pondered aloud, looking at noweher in particular. However, after a moment of realisation, he wiped the nostalgic grin from his face and frowned. "Well. I suppose I should introduce Mairi and Shadow. Ya know, for familiarity purposes only. I don't want things getting awkward at a later date or something..." He shrugged nonchalantly, trying to hide his obvious happiness at the arrangement before whipping out his phone and quacking off to some unknown destination.

Lexi then turned to their leader. "So when do we go?"

Rev then jumped in. "Yeah! And do we pack as if it's a mission or do we pack as if it's a vacation because you know I figure we might as well do both seeing as though if we DO complete the mission we can always stay for a vacation on account of the fact that we haven't had a vacation in forever and I'd really like to take some time off not that I don't enjoy all this crime-fighting stuff but a bird sure can get tired kicking vaillain-tail 24/7 well not actually 24/7 because I'm not AWAKE 24/7-" Tech then seized Rev's beak with his furry paw and glared.

(Why do i like writing for Rev so much? XD)

Sapphire nearly fell out of her chair laughing at the scene. THAT just never gets old.

Horses? The last time she rode was a few years ago. This us gonna be interesting, she lightly jumped from the chair and walked over to Cassidy, ruffling the little patch of hair on Cale's head effectionally.

Ace looked amongst his team. "Pack up guys. We're leavin' straight away."

Rev gave the bunny a questioning look beneath Tech's hand.

"And yes, we're packin' fer fights and fer fun."

Cassidy rolled her eyes at Duck's nonchalant attitude. But Ace, Lexi, Tech, Rev, Slam, and Cassidy knew it was a cover up. They knew how attatched Duck got to that little black foal.

"By the sounds of it, it's pretty important. Let's get ready right now!" Ace said. "And Rev, that's a good idea. If you want, pack for a vacation as well."

And so, the gang separated to their rooms to pack.

After a short time, everyone was in the living area, luggage in hand and ready to go.

"We should take the Supersonic Transport. We'll get there in half the time." Tech informed.

"We'll have to pick Mairi up on the way, won't we?" Lexi turned to Duck.

"She's caught up at work, so she'll make her way up there this weekend." the mallard explained.

"Alrighty gang. Let's jet!"

Sapphire cooed happily at Cale who was sitting on her lap. She levitated her luggage behind her and proceeded to play a quick game of peek-a-boo.

Cassidy sat beside Sapphire, joining in on their game of peek-a-boo. Tech glanced over his shoulder in time to see this, and he smiled softly. He faced forward again and started up the engine.

Cale, however, did not like this noise, and began crying.

Sapphire lifted Cale up from her lap and instead held her against her upper arm. She slid her hand away from her hip and cast a small spell that silenced the engine.

Cassidy reached out and stroked her baby's soft, fire-red hair, cooing softly. "Hush my little princess.."

Cale sniffled, then began giggling when Cassidy nuzzled her face gently. "Ha..ha!"

Sapphire smiled softly and tickled her sides as Cale gigled louder. Gosh, and this is Cassidy's kid, she can't think what would happen if she had one.

Icy was sitting on Sapph's other side, smiling at her little neice. She reached out and pretened to grab Cale's nose. "Oh! I got your nose!!"

Cale stretched out her short arm and tried to grab Icy's hand, her hand opening and closing. Icy held out her hand to the little coyote and Cale grabbed hold of it firmly in her little hand, squeezing it as hard as she could. "Au I!"

Duck fought back a smile as he watched the scene between the 3 girls and Cale. Even as he watched, Cale took both Sapphire's and Icy's hands and squezed them tightly.

"You're a tough one aren't you?" Sapphire laughed, feeling her blood temporarily stoop flowing.

"Hey now, what have I told you about cutting off your aunts' circulations?" Cassidy giggled as she scooped her daughter up into her arms.

Cale started crying again.

Duck snorted. "Looks like somebody's not very popular with her daughter."

Cassidy glanced at her watch. "Nope, it's lunch time for Cale." She reached under her seat into a bag and pulled out a baby bottle with milk in it. Balancing Cale in one arm and the bottle in the other, she warmed it up by placing the palm of her hand under it and focusing her powers carefully on it. It had taken quite a bit of practice for her to get it right, but Cale wouldn't drink her milk unless it was warm.

After making sure it was at the right temperature, Cassidy cradled Cale in one arm and held the bottle to her. Cale grabbed at it and started drinking the milk happily.

Sapphire sighed and leaned against her seat. She glanced at the built-in digital watched on the ships side. According to it, it said that they had exactly 2 hours and 25 minutes before they reached the ranch.

After those 2 hours and 25 minutes, they finally arrived at the ranch. Everyone quickly grabbed their bags and climbed out of the ship (I think it's a ship-like thing?).

There was acres and acres of seemingly endless lush green pastures, with small groups of horses all through the feilds, munching happily on grass. At the very center of it was a large stable and a ranch house about half the size of the barn.

Cale gazed about at her new surroundings with wide, sparkling lime-green eyes. When she spotted the horses, she giggled and clapped. "Neigh!"

A few of the horses, who were close to where the gang were standing, looked up. Seven, in particular, pricked their ears and whinnied loudly, recognizing most of the group.

In the small herd that came racing to the fence there was a bright palomino paint mare, a dark chestnut gelding, a silver stallion, a strawberry roan gelding, a pure white mare, a large chestnut gelding (Clydesdale to be exact), and a jet black stallion.

"Phantom!" Cassidy called out as she carried Cale over to the gentle paint mare. Phantom snorted as she softly sniffed Cale's head. Cale giggled and reached out to pet the mare's velvety nose.

(Okay, realllly long post *fingers twitching* For those of you who forget or haven't read the original story yet, Phantom (palomino paint mare) is Cassidy's, dark chestnut (Lucky) is Tech's, silver stallion (Thunder) is Ace's, strawberry roan gelding (Rusty) is Rev's, white mare (Ghost) is Lexi's, chestnut Clydesdale gelding (Red) is Slam's, and jet black stallion is little Shadow! Only not so little any more! And just as mischeivious as he was as a youngster!)

Duck stared wide eyed in amazement. "Shadow?? Is that really him??" He asked, pointing in shock as the stallion trampled behind the fence excitedly, waiting impatiently for the mallard to come over and scratch his forehead.

Shadow gave out a high-pitched whinny as if to say 'No, I'm Roy Roger's Trigger!'

Duck stapped forward and watched in awe as Shadow leant his neck down and nuzzled the top of his head happily. "Shadow. You're... You're ENORMOUS!" Duck finally said.

Lexi giggled as she stroked Ghost's neck. "How's this for a family reunion, guys?" She asked with a smile, bursting out laughing when she saw Lucky licking Tech's face enthusiastically.

Quick levitated her bags behind her as she walked off the transport craft. She looked around at the majestic scenery and the even more majestic creatures scattered on it.

She took a beep breath of the clean country air and sighed contently. It wsn't often that she got out of the city. A smile creeped on her face.

'Maybe this won't be so bad..." she thought just before a horse a little ways behind her whinnied loudly. Almost on instinct, and without a second thought, Quick zipped behind Slam, dropping her suit case and duffel bag on the ground in her break of concentration.

Slam looked back at the mouse who was hiding behind him.

"Uh...Yarrglou scraa horsie?" he asked over his shoulder.

Quick grinned sheepishly up at him. "ahaaaa......sí just a lil' bit...." she faked a laugh and stood up, blushing awkwardly.

'This....may not go as well as I thought'

Cassidy giggled as she gazed into the eyes of the mare she shared- correction- still shared a special bond with. Phantom nickered softly before turning her head to direct Cassidy's attention to a small creature that was walking up beside her.

Cassidy gasped. "A foal! Oh Phantom is it yours?!"

Phantom nickered and nodded her head. The one-year old filly at the mare's side was a very light chestnut colour, with a perfect star in the middle of her forehead.

Cassidy stretched out her hand to the yearling slowly. The filly sniffed her hand curiously before reaching over the fence and sniffing Cale as well. Cale squealed happily, making the jumpy horse skoot off.

Slam smiled in an almost fatherly manner, before reaching up and petting his horse's nose.

"Trhu erah Red." He introduced, urging Quick forward slightly. The large Clydesdale leant down and sniffed her hair tentively.

"I'm glad you made it!" A older man came walking up to them, hobbling on a cane.

"Mr. Boswell!" Ace turned around in surprise. "Are you alright?"

"Oh, I bet you're wondering about my cane." He chuckled. "Yes, I am fine I suffered a riding accident last month and now I cannot ride. Which is why I called you."

He faced the pastures and pointed out to the deep forests beyond the pastures. "You see, out in those forests are the last surviving herds of true wild horses. They are under my, and the ranch's, protection. But now that I can't ride I'm pretty useless other than barn chores. A couple days ago, Ben, my stable hand, spotted a group of wranglers chasing a herd of horses. Ben tried to stop them, but he was outnumbered badly. That is why I called you. I need you to catch those wranglers!"

Tech looked at Mr. Boswell in confusion. "Why didn't you call the police? I'm sure that they could handle a job such as this..."

"Oh, no. They aren't any ordinary wranglers." A pixielike creature walked into the centre of the group. She was a furry of some sort, but it was difficult to pinpoint her origin. She had an odd accent that also couldn't be placed, and wore dress pants and a nice, white blouse. "They're financed by an illegal horseshow, owned by a very wealthy man. The police are afraid of stepping into his business, so they avoid him completely and look the other way. My name is Agent Dasyurus. I work with the AFIU and I've been investigated this dangerous power for some time now. But it's difficult to pinpoint his location." she lant forward and shook each Loonatic's hands.

Ace punched a fist into his palm. "We'll do it!"

(I thought that wranglers were a bit beneath the Loonatics, so I added a bit more drama to it. And a random shelia. Because I'm bored. XD)

Sapphire looked around, the fresh country breeze whipping at her hair. She looked around at smiled when she saw the horses. This is gonna be a trip to remember.

"You'll need the horses to get you into the forest, trust me." Mr. Boswell nodded. "You must realize that these horses are some of my most prized possessions. I know I can trust you to take good care of them."

"Hey!" A tall young man came walking up to them as well. "Nice to see you again!"

"Ben here will help you get the horses ready and will stay with you for help. These forests are easy to get lost in." Mr. Boswell nodded.

Ace turned to his team. "Saddle up, Loonatics! Let's jet!" He then turned to Tech. "You brought your gluco gel thingie?"

Tech rolled his eyes and unholstered his weapon. "Always, Chief."

"I'm going too." The agent insisted, a very stern look evident on her face.
