Tech stroked her forehead. "You okay?"

"Yeah.....I'm fine..."

Tech studied her face. "You're pale, Cass.... You're not okay."

"Tech. I flew headfirst into a wall at about 20 miles an hour. I'm just... a little disoriented."

"If you're sure..."

"I'm sure. Now go away." Cassidy batted at his hand playfully.

Tech smirked and gave her a peck on her forehead. "I guess I should go check and see if those tests are finished.." With that, he straightened up and left the room.

(Kay... uh... I don't know what else to do XD)

"You know he was never good at tests." Seth said with a laugh.
"This weird guy." he giggled, pointing to himself.
Dusk looked through the little glass window at the top of the door.
"You're...not Seth...are you?"
The coyote smiled.
"Nope! Nice job, bird brain. Wonder how long THAT took ya'."
"Then who are you?" Ace growled.
Seth...or whoever he was, grinned devishly at the rabbit.
"Wouldn't you like to know."

"So?" Ace stared long and hard at Cassidy, knowing she managed to get some kind of contact with her sister.

"So?" The lich asked, looking away from Maria so as to not freak her out any more than he wanted to. "Want to be shipped back to your planet? It would be a lot less troublesome for all of us. Especially me."

"No.." Cassidy replied. "She can't really see anything at all... but she can't be too far. It was easy for us to connect." She bit her lip. Something was wrong. Maria wasn't telling her something.

'We're coming, Maria.'

Maria, suddenly feeling somewhat courageous, tried something she'd seen Cassidy do many times. She glared straight at her captor and replied. "Who says I will stay there anyway?"

Bad idea, Maria. Next time, leave the intimidating to Cassidy.

"Ah hah hah," Dakkarsis said dully. "Hah. Hah. You're a funny broad. Granted, you will have the choice of leaving, but it would be a horribly stupid decision on your part and a risk to..." The undead knight fell silent, fighting back a few words. "Know what, you'll find out on your own." The lich stood and summoned a few minions. "She'll be going home," he told them, and they obediently trudged off to do whatever it was they would do to prepare for departure.

Obviously the General didn't want to go through the trouble of extracting Maria's powers...it even sounded troublesome just as a suggestion. But...why he decided against simply killing her is another question entirely.

Cassidy's fists clenched and she glared in the direction of the containment room. "Ace... Could I-?"

Ace shook his head. "We need the real Seth in one peice."

"I was just gonna talk with him!"

"Knowing you, it could turn into a fight."

Maria sighed in relief. Finally she was getting out of here. But it seemed too good. Too easy. Something was gonna go wrong and she knew it. She slowly rose to her feet, shaking a little from nerves. She wondered what was gonna happen. How were they gonna know if she left Sari? More importantly, how was she gonna help with the wedding if she was stuck on Sari? Even more importantly, would Cassidy and her freinds survive if they went into battle with this.....what could you call him?.. uh...zombie? sure, let's go with that. How would they survive the battle with this zombie and his army? They were outnumbered by a great amount, probably more than they ever have been.

Maria blinked. Something was definately going to go wrong.

Without waiting for Ace’s instructions, Sapphire briskly got to her feet and stomped towards ‘Seth’s cell’. “Seth or whoever you are, I demand you to tell us where Maria is. NOW!” The coyote merely grinned at her, a taunting smile on his lips.

The rest of the team glanced at Ace, waiting for his intrustruction. Ace simply nodded, then motioned for Icy and Cassidy to stand beside the door on either side.

"Alright, we're lettin' ya out."

Ace let the door open. Seth walked out, still smirking. Icy and Cassidy grabbed his arms and held him still. Seth laughed and pulled against the girls.

"Goils? You need help?"

"Got it under control, Cheif!"

Icy slid her foot under Seth's, tripping him to the floor. Then Cassidy sat on top of him.

"You think you're gonna be able to keep me here?!" Seth snortled.

Icy then plopped herself right down beside Cassidy, on Seth.

Cassidy bent over to Seth's face. "Now, you better be a good boy, or else we'll ask a good freind of ours to join us."

Slam gave Seth a large toothy grin.

"Now...Where is Maria?!"

"Now, now. Miss Aurora." Seth laughed.
"Lets settle this like gentlemen and ladies, shall we?" he offered with a sly grin.
"No. I like this much better." Cassidy replied with a smile.
"That so? Did I mention I can kill off this moron?" Seth snickered, pointing to his chest.
"It's quite easy, really. And if you don't get off of me, the coyote goes bye-bye."

The walking dead ushered Maria to what appeared to be an underground space launching site, General Dakkarsis moving ahead of them, apparently to make it obvious he would be boarding the shuttle with her.
The technological hubbub of the surrounding scene did not fit well at all with fleshy zombies, nor with the noble lich knights, which should have lead Maria to believe this underground base was probably overrun by them.

Whatever may have been slowing Maria down as she walked, whether it be fear or stubbornness or perhaps the unrecognizable sensation burning in the back of her head, it managed to slug her down enough to annoy the zombie behind her. It pushed her hard with the end of its thick broken stump of an arm, nearly knocking her over in the process as it hollard with a gruesome voice, "Walk faster, girl! You make US look more lively!"

Apparently that was a stupid mistake.

The General stopped in mid-step, whirled around on his heel, and came stomping quite quickly up to the one-and-a-half-armed zombie. The lesser zombies made way for him immediately, especially considering the cold stinging air about him. He grabbed the brute zombie by the face, pulled it back into the spike on his shoulder pad, and reversed completely, shoving the entire ghoul by the face down into the metal ground. We can just say that the underling zombie lost a couple pieces of itself at that moment.

"I told you," began the General, "ALL of you, that you are not to even so much as LOOK at the girl unless by my command! DO. NOT. cross that line!"

"But that wasn't what the Master said, it was completely oppo--" began the stupid ghoul, only to be dragged up by what little hair it had left back onto its feet, courtesy of its General.

"He told you to do as I say. You failed. You're dismissed from your duties forever." The lich stood, glanced at Maria, and motioned for her to walk ahead with him.

If she didn't follow immediately, she would witness a zombie crumbling into a stinking pile of rot.

Maria followed the general as fast as she could. After a few moments of silence, she spoke up. "Why did you do that?"

Cassidy and Icy looked at each other, then at Ace. None of them wanted Seth hurt, or worse. The girls slowly got off of him, backing off a few steps.

"Much better." he said, dusting himself off.
"Now, listen closely. 'Cause I aint gonna' repeat myself." he stood up, and walked over to the shattered window, looking out cautiously.
"Just looking for Narwouls." he assured.
"What are NARWOULS?" asked Duck.
"No idea." Sapphire answered.
"Anyway..." Seth turned to look at the team.
"Now, Maria is in a very dark place. Located somewhere in Acmetropolis. This is VERY Top Secret business ladies, so don't go off running your mouths. Got it?"
The team nodded.
"Maria..."
Cassidy leaned in, anxious to know where her sister was.
"....is up...."
Ace held his breath, excited to learn the location.
"......your arses!" cackled Seth, and with that, he jumped out the window.
"BASTARD!" yelled Icy as she reached the shattered glass only to see the coyote walking on the water.
"At least give our moron back!" she screamed.
He gave her a cynical look.
"Naaaaah, I like this body. Good condition, young, well built...think I'll keep it for a while."
"YOU GET BACK HERE!" Ace called out, face red with rage.
"Like that's gonna' happen." chuckled Seth.
"Later losers." and he sunk into the ocean.

Dakkarsis hesitated. "Don't ask." He didn't bother to look at her. Maria didn't need to see the face of a skeleton anyway, he decided. She seemed scared enough as it is. No point in pushing it.

As the drop-down door into the shuttle opened, the General stepped to decide and motioned slightly to Maria once more. "In."

Sapphire’s eyes lighted up at she focused on ‘Seth’ as he sunk deeper into the water. The male coyote was covered with a bright purple glow as she tried to pull him back out.

He turned towards her as his descend was disturbed, his eyes narrowed slits and his grin psychotic. He slammed his palms together. Hard. The loud sound seemed to vibrate and shake the cool air.

As the team shared equally puzzled looks, Sapphire felt uneasy. Seth was holding back from her and whatever he just done, made… Oh gosh.

Her powers slid back towards her, engulfing her in a bright glow. Her lips parted as she tried to scream, but nothing came out. The rest of the team turned towards her as she felt herself being lifted of the ground… AGAIN.

Before anyone could stop it though, Seth yanked her out of the window, making her float easily above the water in front of him.

“I don’t like being late girly,” he snarled.

(Good grief… What now? ^^ MUAHAHAHAHAA!!!)

Seth chuckled and dangled Sapphire above the cold sea.
"Sorry darling, but you leave me no choice. I was planning on leaving and letting you all live, but apparently you don't want that." he cackled.
"Bye love. It was nice knowing you." and he dropped her into the ocean.
"And before any of you lugheads do anything else..." he then vanished without a trace.
Leaving Sapphire sink to her death.

"SAPPHIRE!" Dusk yelped, jumping to his feet and running to the broken window. He quickly opened his wings and flew down to her, scooping up the young girl in his arms and bringing her to safety.

Sapphire smiled at him. "Thanks Dusk..."

Dusk's face turned bright red as he blushed. "Y-you're welcome."

Seth reapered in an ally near the slums of Acmetropolis. Walking out casually he made his way towards downtown.
"Hey puppy." laughed a voice from behind.
He turned around to see a group of men dressed in baggy clothing and carrying guns and knives and what not.
"Hmm, a group of chavs*. Lovely." the coyote sighed.
"I know you." said the leader.
"You're that whore on that super hero team thing, right?"
"If that's what you think."
The man grabbed Seth by his wrist.
"Well then lets have some fun, puppy." he laughed.
The alchemist couldn't help but smile.
"Aw, you're cute." he giggled, putting his hand on the man's neck.
"That's right pu-"
And Seth snapped the man's neck, dropping him the hard ground.
The other members of the gang stared at their deceased leader.
"Boo." whispered Seth.
The gang let out a yelp and ran for their lives. Seth of course, could really care less about them.
"Where was I? Ah yes, I was going to retrieve Rita." he muttered to himself.
"Now where did that fellow take her. I hope she's alright. She never really liked the undead."

Rev whipped out one of Tech's triangulator inventions from an invisible pocket and looked at it.
"Yep! Oh-wait-well-not-really. Determining from Ace's expression, he had apparently tuned out on the thirteenth "and-it's-loading" and didn't even notice when Rev said it was done. Why nobody ventured to shut Rev up was another question entirely.

Duck glanced at the two, noting Ace's distant expression and Rev's large smile. He was about to leave them like that, but then he realized it was a GREAT time to act superior towards Ace. "It's loaded! Sheesh, didya fall asleep with your eyes shut or something? Pssh. Some leader you are."
Ace immediately snapped out of it, ignoring Duck's insults as per usual as he got back on the subject, "Good. Now, let's see where dat guy is."

Sapphire peeked over Ace's shoulder at the mechanicy... thingie. "It says that he's down in town.... but...." Ace's voice trailed off uncertainly as he shook the little thing to make sure they diddn't get a wrong 'frequency'.

"The beeps not so steady team. I say we get down there as fast as possible. Rev, get an exact point on his location," the bunny turned towards the avian. Rev nodded curtly before Ace turned to the others.

"Tech, get us a ride downtown."

"On it chief," Tech said briefly, his expression hardening.

"Cassidy, Icy, try not to murder the guy when you see him."

Icy smirked, showing of her canine teeth, "Wouldn't dream of it Ace."

"And Sapphire?" he turned towards the drenched girl, "I think you better get a change of clothes."

"Jee, what gave you that idea?" Duck snorted, in which Sapphire replied to by splashing some water on him. "Yessss sir," she said meekly before running of in the general direction of her room.

"Uh, with all respect, yer majesty, but Kiddo's right." Ace agreed

"Besides, Mother, Mairi won't want to stay here alone after what happened. Right, Mazz?"

(Yeah, Ace usually calls Cass 'Kiddo'. Pretty much since she joined. It annoys her slighty, but she puts up with it XD)

"AAAAAAAAAHHHH!! I'M ON FIRE!!!!!!! HOT! HOT! HOT!"
Icy rolled her eyes and lifted her hands at the mallard. In a matter of seconds, duck was frozen in a block of ice.
"Better?" snickered Icy.
Duck's brow furrowed.
Dusk stared at the frozen bird, knocking on the ice.
"Oh my, I wonder if they do this in China to preserve they're duck." he pondered to himself.
Duck said a few choice words that were muffled thanks to his barrier.
"Oh dear..." Dusk mumbled to himself, quickly doing that "Hale Mary".

Sapphire stood at the door watching the scene before her, cracking a tiny smile. How cute....

Duck's eyes looked around shiftily before resting on Sapphire, pleading with his eyes for some help. The girl walked towards the ice cube and rested her palms on the block, her expression serious and calm, "Duck, you know you could just quack out of there right?"

The mallard widened his eyes in shock before doing so. He appeared beside her, shivering like he's been dippped in ice...... which he more or less has. "I-I knew th-tha-that."

"But why didn't you do it genius?" Icy snickered.

Maria hesitated, her eyes locked on her captor. How could she trust him? This could all be a death trap. He could just be trying to lure her into it. She noticed that he would not look directly at her. Why? She wondered. She had been caught in the middle of a couple of the gang's missions, often being captured as bait or whatnot. Each of them went out of their way to scare her. Which was easy.

"Alright." She replied quietly, stepping into the shuttle.

Seth made his way to downtown, fully unaware that the team was on their way. Though he did have a feeling that they might come after him sooner or later.
"I don't mind." he muttered to himself.
"As long as they don't get in my way."
He stopped in the middle of the square. It must have been rush hour, for many people were crowded around the area. And most of them seem to be staring at him.
"Hey, that's Seth right?"
"OMG, you're right! What's he doing out here?"
"Where's DUCK? He's the hot one..." (coughEMILYcough)
He ignored the comments and continued on his way.
"Rita's spiritual aura.....it's close....."

It's at times like these that a lich can be thankful he hasn't the features gifted by flesh and muscles to show emotion. Nonetheless, the General's face remained turned partially away from Maria as he signalled to the zombies standing outside. They tromped off to get the mechanics of the base working so the shuttle could eventually, some day, lift off.
Realizing how long it was taking for such to happen, Dakkarsis muttered to himself, "well this is tedious."

"Ah, Lucifer you fool...you haven't been reading aura's since....since....I wonder what year it is..." thought the poltergeist as he roamed through the streets, looking for Rita's aura.

Meanwhile, it seemed that the Loonatics had set to finding Seth. Rev flew ahead of them, as he was the one who would lead them to him. Duck was falling behind a bit because he couldn't work his jetpack. The flames sputtered every ten seconds and he kept punching on the acceleration.
"Tech, your stupid jetpacks are stupid. Can't you do any better?"
Tech rolled his eyes and called back to Duck, "Well if you wouldn't treat the acceleration like it's a hit-me-clown, yours would probably work better. Just a suggestion."

Lucifer looked up towards the sky.
"Hmmm, seems they've set on following me. Fine. Now lets see..." the poltergeist looked around the area. Auras of all colors and masses surrounding him. He spotted a peachy looking color off in the distance, surrounded by a dark mass of colors.
"Hello." he mummered.

Meanwhile DUck was still having trouble with his jet-pack, "TECH! I don't want to be roasted if this things explodes," he yelled out.

"Well, if you were roasted you might be able to keep that death trap you call a mouth shut," Icy said, c.ocking her head sideways.
