I actually love rye bread. But that's not why I started going by Rye. xD

Actually, I originally started using the penname of Rye in 2003. Previous to that I was going by Riley, due to the fact that I was (and still am) too lazy to continue making people pronounce my real name properly. Then I decided that was too much of a real life name to serve me as a penname so I shortened it. /Ri/(ley) = Rye. And then it just kinda stuck... even in real life. -shrug- =3

In grade seven, we had to sit in a circle and introduce ourselves by putting a word in front of our name that started with the same letter as our name and described who we were. "Bouncing Ben", "Dip-Der Damien", "Scooba Steve", "Karate Kirsty" etc.

When it came to my turn, I was all, "Extreme Emily!" and did that stupid head-banging thing that got me popular with all the grade eights...

It even says 'Xtream' on my leavers T-Shirt. Some people are still calling me it today. ^^;

I added crazy on the end... Coz... I guess I'm kinda crazy. XD

Hehe. I had to do that once in 5th or 6th grade. xD
But only with words like "brilliant" or "wonderful" or "awesome," etc.
Somehow though, "Marvelous Mélissa" just wasn't something I chose to stick with... X3

I never really had a nickname as such. I was always called Natasha Hailey (cos Hailey's my middle name) or Natasha Basher (cos I always used to tap on everything in excitement when ever I was hyperactive or excited).

Why I call myself 'Akira_Cat' on here is because my favourite animals are cats and I was into manga at the time so I picked Akira cos it sounded cool. And that's how Akira_Cat was born aww .
