This is for those who is a Tech fan. Who do you think would be perfect for Tech? I want it to be Mallory because they seem so much alike. It's obvious that Tech still has feelings for her.
Mmm, i don't think there's been a lady on the show that i think would be suitable for Tech romantically yet. So none of the above i'm afriad. I voted 'other'. I personally think Tech would relate better to another canine anthro than a human female.
Tech and Mallorey are alike in intelligence, knowledge and technical expertise, but i think those similarities in skills was meant to present Mastermind as a formidable, challenging and worthy foe for Tech who works at the same level as him. I still don't see her and Tech's relationship as romantic at all. They're sworn enemies now regardless of whatever may have happened in their pasts.
Mallory: Yes they did date and they are alike in intelligence and they still have feelings for each other.
Black Velvet: An attractive woman yes and both of them sympathise for each other so there are definate feelings going on there but she controlled his mind so I'm not sure on this match.
Zadavia: She does treat Tech a little more special than any other characters (apart from Ace) but maybe it's just a work relationship. No romance. Although she did complement him on the cape and boots that he won.
You: Most Tech fan-girls would make sure they are the one destined to be with him for ever but 1: He's a cartoon character and therefore only exists in the cartoon world on TV. 2: Every girl would feel more secure if they knew that Tech is still single.
Overall, I think Tech is a babe magnet by accident and is the most popular character in the show.

I'm still convinced that Tech and Mallorey had nothing but a mentor-student relationship back in their Acme Tech days. Nothing more.
And after some points that Annabees made on TV.com, i'm starting to think that there would be very few women out there that could truly put up with Tech's socially distant behaviour. He wouldn't be an easy character to get along with. It would require a really unique and special kind of lady to understand and get along well with Tech. And at the moment i think Tech's real passion lies with his work more than anything else.
I don't think any of the above would be a good match for Tech because:
Black Velvet was only interested in controlling Tech for the service of his genius. That's all she wanted from him really. I don't think she actually really 'liked' him for anthing more than his ability to aid her in her goals.
Mallorey Mastermind: Hostility and vengeful bitterness is all that Mastermind has left in the way of feelings for Tech now. And i doubt that's gonna change. Plus i don't think she and Tech ever 'dated' in their study days. If anything, Mallorey was always competitive with Tech on their intellectual brilliance, and this obssession for more knowledge and power of hers was what drove her to become the criminal she now is. That's what Tech meant when he said to her: "It's not your intellect i have problems with, it's your swollen head!"
Zadavia and Tech has a purely employer-employee relationship. Nothing more. Zadavia trusts Tech's abilities unquestioningly and with full faith and Tech, like the others, performs her commands obediently.
Sorry, but I still think Tech and Mallory dated. As for the others... yes. Not to be ****y, but I wonder if I could put up with him, seeing as how I get told on a daily basis by the same people that I act just like him. Except with stories instead of inventions. Even when I go to Faust's, I stay locked in my (and Jack's) room. And Stephanie, it's her room too.
Edit: Eh, the word it bleeped out is a perfectly acceptable word, it's in the dictionary, and it means "pig headed, megalomaniacal, stuck up, haughty taughty, on my high horse", etc.

Sometimes it's not such a good thing if two partners are too much alike. For example, two people that are easily angered would get into alot of arguments if they stayed with each other over a long period of time!
And this Tech and Mastermind issue really needs clearing up! We need some indisputable evidence from the show to prove whether Tech and Mastermind were ever romantically involved in their pasts!

Hmm... the evidence we have that he dated her:
1)He seemed sad that he had to turn her in.
2)He seemed a lot happier then (he actually smiled at one point in the flash back, but now all you see him do is smirk.).
3)They shared a locker.
4) She used his locker combination.
5)Now she hates his guts, just like a wife divorcing her husband.
How to counter that evidence:
1)Maybe he would've felt bad anyways.
2)Maybe he has depression, and the two just coincided.
3)I share a locker with Foxy, doesn't mean that she and I are going out.
4)Maybe she thought it was so obvious that he'd think too hard and never guess it (it other words, it was too simple for his complex mind).
5)Or maybe she just plain hates him.
How to back up that evidence:
1)It seems like she was the only one that would pay attention to him, and that she was his first true love.
2)See 1).
3)Eh, there is no way that sharing a locker determines relationship status.
4)See 3).
5)Most of the time when a couple breaks up, she hates him.
Let's see: Disputing-5/5, Backing up- 3/5. Darned, we don't have enough undisputable evidence.
Given the whole she-hates-him thing, I still have to say they did. Then again, we don't know the whole story as to why she might hate him.
Perhaps he did something to her to make her evil and soaking up his knowledge was her way to get back at him, but it backfired.
Eh, I'm gonna shut up now and reply to the other topics so I can start that report.

I really don't think a quantitative approach to the issue of a Mastermind and Tech romance is the best way to analyse its probability. Really we should be looking at it qualitatively by just simply what we see from the show. What does it really look like the show is trying to hint at? What impressions is it seeming to convey rather than what beleifs we want to hold about it?
Interesting that you think Tech may actually be a sadder person now as a superhero than he was before as a student at Acme Tech! I always thought it was the other way round. That Tech always felt unappreciated and mocked as scientific student in his former 'past life', and that he feels more appreciated and respected in society as a superhero genius.
And the reason why Mastermind hates Tech so much? I believe the show gave an explanation for that already. Tech foiled her first evil plot to transfer the minds of all the Acme Tech seniors into her own. That's why she's bitter at him. Not because they may have broken up from a romantic relationship some time before, but because Mallorey was stopped from attaining her evil goal by Tech, and it resulted in her been taken away by the police, imprisoned, losing all her academic respectability and her life's work being dismantled. That's enough to make anyone really mad at the person responsible for bringing down their life (even if it was a misguided one)!
And you see, that is what I`m going to expand upon: WHY did Mallory do that? The story I`m going to write about that particular relationship will (hopefully) leave you guys sympathizing with her even more than you are now.

I think Mallorey gets alot of sympathy already, but it'll be interesting to see your version of the story between her and Tech.
I must agree with all you guys... well, maybe except Dragon Wing, LOL! But yay, I think Tech may have a harder time relating to humans than another coyote anthro. I could hardly see him even having a crush on Mallory or Black Velvet(because of their decision to become villains), maybe Zadavia (very slim).
