Thanks! I wish i did this style often too -- I love it, but it takes a lot longer... plus add in the fact that I can be such a procrastinator... heh...

I did have her eyes green at first, but after watching 'The Comet Cometh' and 'The Heir Up There', they show her eyes as blue when she's not in uniform :O_O:, kinda like Tech, his eyes are yellow, but in battle uniform his eyes are green. Man, WB loves to mess with our heads... =P

Hm, really? I always thought it was a more olive-ish color. But, I guess olive is kind of like a shade of green?

In uniform, Tech's pupil colour kinda looks like a mix of gold yellow and green, so i prefer to describe them as 'lime green' or something.

On topic, tres bien colouring job there Kaejae! As i've said before, Lexi and Rev look so 'bad' and 'tough' there! Oh yeah! Interesting how Lexi's hair has shades of pink towards the ends.

And i can't wait to see your next Tech and Duck picture! *Waits in eager anticipation.*

And thanks Black Oracle! The pink ends were inspired by a pre-solo Gwen Stefani, when No Doubt came out with Return of Saturn *sigh*... I've always wanted to dye my some part of my hair pink, but (1) They don't like funky colors at my work place, (2) Black hair is hard to dye without haveing to bleach it and (3) My nursing placements at school might not like it :P Hehe, the closest I've gone is dying the top half of my hair a bright fushia-red

Also -- I can't wait to finish it! These two are so amusing ;)

Actually, I think this episode had a couple mistakes in the coloring of the eyes. Sometimes they'd change color (usually to black) during a shot, or look a little shabby because of lack of shading/highlights.

We can't be sure. I thought some of the other animation looked real nice drawing-wise. Animators are only human, and you have to consider what they're daily workload probably is. For example, making sure that the scene where Duck and Tech jump into Ace's arms out of fright is convincing is a higher priority than making sure every eye is perfectly colored.

I can't believe Tech was so scared he had to leap into Ace's arms Scooby Doo style! It just doesn't seem like him! I think the writers were just trying to make Ace seem like the brave, fearless leader there! But i get what you mean about animators making little mistakes.

I can believe it. You'd be pretty unnerved too if a several hundred pound psycho with robot arms wanted to kill you too. At the time, Tech thought the Stomper got out of jail, so that's why he freaked out. The only reason Ace wasn't quite as reactive to it (although he did look worried) was because wasn't specifically targeted. Lord knows what he would be like when he's being stalked.

Knowing Ace, he`d say something like "I`ll be expecting him. And when he does come, we`ll see who stomps who. The hunter just became the hunted."

Okay, maybe that was a little extreme to put it, but the point is Ace doesn`t let himself get intimidated by tough brutes like that. Come on, look at all the foes they`ve fought! Optimatus is scarier than Stomper to me. Now, if Ace had a female stalker who`s utterly obsessed with him (and even has a pet name for him) then I wouldn`t put it past him to take cover behind Lexi.

Ace: 500-pound murderers? No problem. 50-foot robots? Big deal. An utterly obsessed stalker who hangs pictures of me up in her room and calls me "Acie"? Lexiiiii!

Mind you, i think Duck's the smallest out of all the Loonatics, so he probably would be quite light, but Tech is about the height of Ace, their ears included, so he may be a bit more of a stuggle for Ace to carry. Duck: You should count yourself lucky, ladies` man. I can`t seem to get one set of digits in this whole freaking city. If I were you, I`d be grateful to have a female fan swooning over me and worshipping me like a god.

Ace: You don`t get it, Duck. She has pirated copies of my college report card, she hangs homemade posters of me up in her room, and she writes my name on every single page of her diary!

Duck: How would you know?

Ace: She TOLD ME! And that`s just her less obsessive traits! You don`t even wanna know what she thinks of in her sleep!

Duck: Ooookay, she might be just a little too obsessed with you.

Lexi: And coming from Duck, that`s saying something.

Even if he were standing up straight on the big guy, the impact sould have shattered Duck's knees. The only explanation? It's a cartoon, and the animators can ignore the laws of physics.

Duck was on Stomper's back when the building collapsed? (Sorry, haven't seen the ep since i live in the UK! Grrrr!) Silly Duck! Why didn't he teleport out of there?! Oh well, he must've known he'd walk away without injury since he's a cartoon character!

I think you can tell what just happened in the picture

There was supposed to be dialogue, but after finishing this, adding it in would have taken away from the style of the picture and thus, I left it as is. (I decided not to ink it, because I'm lazy like that... Plus I like the softness of coloring over a sketch!)

But this is what it would have been...
Lexi: Read'em and weep boys!! I win again!
Ace: Duck, I thought you said she didn't know how to play!
Duck: She lied. And at least you still have your underpants!
Slam: *is confused*
Rev: S-s-s-s-s-so c-c-c-c-c-cold!!!
Tech: She cheated. I mean com'on! The odds of having a hand like that is... 1 in 40, 000!

Oh, and Lexi's clothes looka kinda weird, since it's designed to go more along with the whacked fashions of 2772

And Slam ate his chips...
Duck: *hands the chips to Slam* These are your chips...
Slam: *eats them*
Duck: *slaps forehead* not those kind of chips!

Wow! Another fantastic art piece Kaejae! Kinda reminds me of that 'Dogs playing poker' painting (by don't know who?). How do you come up with all these inspired, original and gorgeous pictures?! You are a true 'artiste'! I like the soft tones of the colouring for this piece. And i found the dialogue with the picture incredibly funny too. I had to stifle my laughs at reading Rev's "C-c-c-c-cold!" line! LOL! How long will the guys play before Lexi has stripped them all bare?! Quick, Tech! Figure out how she's cheating before she makes fools out of all of you guys! LOL!

PS. I am also mildly reminded of the latest James Bond movie "Casino Royale" with this picture too. Hmm, would make for an interesting scene to have the Loonatics go undercover and play poker with some shady criminal.
