The same thing happened to Lex Luthor in an issue of Superboy. Gasp! What if they did it purposely to foreshadow Pinkster's Luthor-esqe future as the Loonatics' supervillain criminal mastermind?!

Wait...Pinkster did have hair. But in the scene where Pinkster loses his hair, he was testing some random blue stuff in a lab-place-thing. But Ace said he couldn't find any records of him having any medical jobs. So how did he lose his hair?
Well, we got to see Duck and Pinkster when they were kids, it was confirmed that Slamacus is Slam's actual full name. Duck also seems to be Duck's real name (or nickname at least) since Pinkster used it when he first recognized him. More of Ace as a part-time PI.

He! He! Ace is turning into a detective! I always thought that would be more Tech's department, but i guess he can't be doing all the investigative thinking in the team can he? And Duck been in an orphanage probably explains a few things about his behaviour.
Martiangirl wrote: Well, at least he had some lines this time. But yeah, it's getting ridiculous as to hope little Rev is being used.
But there's lots of things he could do besides survelliance! We've seen him display hand-to-hand combat skills when he was kicking around Massive. Sure, a offensive super-power would be nice, but I must say I don't really see that coming anymore.
I agree with Cheri and Martiangirl. This is getting stupid, not to be bias; but Rev is probably the best one there and no one else in the show wants to admit it. I saw a sad look on Rev's face and I don't know if it was from the way Pinkster spoke, or when he found out that he had to monitor headquarters.
1. They make his superspeed power a joke 2. Then, when he is on fire kicking Massive, he's out 3. Then, when he's flying toward Sypher, he crashes into the wall 4. Next, Rev can't even defend himself properly in SOGSS (even though it was kind of sweet about him being saved, anyway)
5. Next, he gets eaten by a whale (even though it was funny) 6. Next, his own episode turns out to be about his brother and the business, mostly 7. Then, he can't even finish talking, without others shutting his beak (it is funny, but still...) 8. He gets very little screentime
9. An episode which I thought would be about him, turns over to Lexi (go figure) 10. He's in the background again 11. He's monitoring again 12. The writers can't make him fight
Not to complain, but come on; this is getting ridiculous!!

Calm down Rev. Not doing yourself much good getting so worked up over Rev's minimal attention in the show. I think most of us would like to see Rev get a bit more highlighting, but what's happened has happened. I do think he and Slam (and Tech more recently) has sunk into the background alot since their focus eps "Family Business" and "I am Slamacus". But hopefully, they'll all have some importance to play in the finale? Or there's always season 3? *Crosses fingers for 3rd season.*
I gotta disagree with you tho' that "Family Business" was more about Rip than Rev. Rev did get a prominent showcasing in that ep. His brother, Rip, was his adversary for the ep plot.
And what do you mean by "Rev's probably the best one there"? I know you like him, but there are others who are fans of some of the other Loonatics too y'know.
But i do agree it would have been great to see Rev doing more fighting-wise this season, i still think that there's alot of untapped potential with his super-speed powers.
Overall, Duck's probably been getting the most attention this season. Followed by Lexi, then Ace. Tech, Rev and Slam i feel have sunk into the background (tho' Rev and Slam had spotlight eps, Tech i don't think has had one yet this season!).
And there was me being so cruel to him. WAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHH!!! I'M SUCH A MONSTER!
Hugs Duck.
Duck: Ack!
Me: Why didn't you say this before!? Now I feel so guilty for trying to kill you off because you were craving the attention that you never got from your parents! WAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!!! From now on, I'll never try to hurt you again!
Duck: It's okay Akira. Now let go of me! I can't breathe!
Me: OH NO! YOU CAN'T BREATHE! I'M KILLING YOU!!! WAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHH!!!
Squeezes him harder.
Duck: GAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAGGHHH!!! I CAN'T BREATHE!!!

*Tickles Akira till she goes into hysterics and drops Duck.*
Duck (all crumpled and flattened on the floor): Gee, thanks.
Well, technically, wouldn't they have to have been orphans before they were rich and famous? Since they were kids at the time. It's not like fame and fortune resulted in them being orphans.

Nah, i meant that in order for them to become famous and rich, they had to be orphaned to start with. It's like some preliminary requirement to become well-known; you need to have a tragic past to become someone great! Look at Batman!
Hey, no one knew at the time that Batman would become a comic icon. They just needed a reason why a billionaire (and he'd have to be to afford all those gadgets), would want to fight crime instead of lounging around the pool with a new woman every week. Most superheroes have some sort of angst in their past (Superman, Spiderman, Punisher, X-Men, I can go on). They need some kind of motivation, and tragedy is usually the best one. Otherwise they'd just be wackjobs who fight crime in colored underwear because they are bored with their mediocre family life. Why do you think the Loonatics got sad (though not nearly as dramatic) existences in their origins? If their lives were perfect before, why would they change it to risk their lives protecting people they don't even know?

True true. Though there are some superheroes i know that put on a costume just for the fun of it to start with (the first Batgirl and Star-spangled Kid (Courtney) i believe). But yeah, tragedy and misfortune normally provides the best reason for would-be superheroes to go out fighting crime.
I don't think Duck's really an orphan, remember in I am Slamacus Duck said he had a sister? simple explanation, His sister told him he was a orphan and told him that he wasn't really related to his family, so he ran off to an orphanage, his parents notice he was gone and got him back. well that's what i think because being the baby in my family, older siblings have a way of making the baby of the family feel unwanted. That's what my brother said to me when i was that little.
Kind of complicated for a "simple explanation". And his parents wouldn't send out a police report why? Besides, he said that he was always looking to be adopted. So what would be the difference between being adopted in an orphanage or being "adopted" by the parents he left? I think the simpler answer is that it was just an expression he used to get Slam motivated in "I Am Slamacus", and in reality Duck doesn't have any siblings.

Hrm...well. This episode was okay. It was nice to see more info on Duck's past. And he wasn't a complete jerk in this episode!! *shockity shock* So that was nice. ^_^
Hm...but Pinkster being a villian....not the best of plot twists. I dunno. He's too nice to end up as such a bad guy.
And is it just me...or is the whole "shutting up Rev" gag getting REEEAL old? Honestly. (but that little wind up toy Tech made to shut his beak was pretty funny XD;; )
I do hope as well Rev gets more screentime, as well as Slam. And a Tech-centered ep would be nice.

his parents probably where calling all his friends and and looking around till they asked his sister, and his sister probably told him he was left on the doorstep as a baby and his parents took him in out of pity.

Rev had to have his beak clamped shut again? Poor Rev. But i suppose it's just to emphasise the point that Rev blabs on too much about relatively unimportant things. Still, Rev needs a little more respect, as well as Slam. And i too want a Tech ep! But I have a feeling Tech's not gonna get one this season tho' now.

Um, could you explain that again? You sort of lost me. Besides, isn't Pinkster a witness about his time in the orphanage? Bad guy or not, why the heck would he lie about that and his past with Duck?

I have to agree that I think Duck's "My sister hits harder than you!" comment in IaS was probably something he said to drive Slam into punching harder. Not necessarily that Duck really does have a sister. Either that, or maybe Duck's sister (and any other siblings) went into separate orphanages too?

I guess when I said that Rev is the best one there; I probably meant that he has such great qualities about him like being cheerful, smart and athletic. But, I know that there are other fans of the other Loonatics. But, I just say ahead of time that I don't want to be bias when I say that, because I worry about offending others.
I know it's not worth to get upset; but there is nothing else that I could really seem to do. It is true that Tech hasn't had his own episode yet, but I think that he has sort of appeared a lot and I do notice that in this season, Slam definetly appears more than Rev.
I never expected Duck to be the one who was the center of attention; I thought that it would be Ace or Lexi, but I was right about Lexi, though.

Hmm, i'm not so sure that Slam has had more appearance time than Rev this season. He has been rather quiet, maybe moreso than Rev.
But yes, i know it's difficult to see your favourite characters being underused! C'mere, maybe a hug from another unfulfilled fan will make you feel better! *Hugs Rev.* Awww....
But there was this one episode from the Looney tunes where Daffy and Porky were presenting a radio show and Daffy was hosting a quiz show and asked Porky impossible questions which he had to answer in 3 seconds. Otherwise, Porky would have had his head bashed by a saucepan. But Porky turned the tables around and got Daffy back and to tell you the truth, I knew that Pinkster wasn't a good guy after all! I just knew it!
Simba: Hey. I thought you were unconcious fromthat dream cake.

I have it taped, but I don't know when I'll get the chance to upload it. Hopefully, this weekend, but if not, it'll be late. Either Thursday or Friday. So sorry.

Ah, don't worry. You're nice enough to upload the vids at all. I can honestly wait for the ep, because what I've heard about it so far sounds like a dream come true. I was whining about how often they utilized Duck without doing anything new or interesting with him not too long ago, then BAM it turns out he's an orphan, which tototally explains everything when you think about it.
