Hip-Hop I wouldn't know, because I'm not a fan of that sort of music.
However - music, and all things in the arts, cycle. A music form will 'die' and then go into something else and come back a few years later. It always happens, just look at music trends over a few years. So when a type of music 'dies', it's merely falling out of favor.
At this point in time, for some reason, we've hit a creative draught. It's a miracle to get good new music, movies, or TV shows these days because we're simply not creative at this point. I'm certain in a few years, we'll get creative again. Unfortunately, there's always a few dry spells as far as 'good' anything goes.

How odd. Toy Story wasn't even the first...story to use animate toys. Think "The Nutcracker" and such. Regardless of inspirations, a story is only as good as how it's told and how it comes to life. Nowadays it's impossible to have a truely independant idea that someone hasn't tried before. So...ignore them unless they have better reasons than that your story and Toy Story have 'animate toys'.

Well we are running out of ideas for original tunes. It just looks like we're borrowing ideas cos we just can't seem to think up of new things cos of the fact that all the other good ideas were used in the past. But there is no limitation to our imagination.
I once had this brilliant idea for a little tune, kinda like a children's nursery rhyme, and I was singing it absent-mindly, and then Jacovie looked at me funny. When I asked him why he was, he told me that I was singing it the opposite way. Apparently, our old music teacher, Ms. Barchanov (sp?), taught us that song, but the way I sang it, it came out all happy-like, and the way he remembered it was sad-like and stuff.
But the tune randomly came into my mind while on a train to somewhere in China. O_o Why would the tune pop up then?
I also thought up a song! :D Except, I only have a basic tune and lyrics. D:
And Jacovie wants to write songs and make me sing them. ._.
I want to make my novel into a movie, but I've only barely started writing the book! XD Jacovie's rubbing off on me. (he designed album covers before he had finished writing the songs.)
Would anyone care to give me creative criticism on my story? (it's somewhere in the Randomness section.)

There's plenty of creative minds. o: And music isn't dead, persay... I s'pose that depends on how you define "dead" though. I don't think it's dead. I think there's a lot of bands that all sound the same... But there's still lots of awesome music worth listening to. Some people still manage to use their imagination. Maybe everything we do nowadays isn't considered "timeless" and therefore isn't recognized as creativity by some people... But there's still a little creativity in all of us, waiting to be used. In these times you just have to dig a little deeper into your imagination to come up with something that the world really hasn't ever heard of. It's not impossible, it's just not easy. =) Music will never die so long as creative minds keep at it.
I spun a story out of real-life issues and my Bugs Bunny doll. And my toys. My toys are very important to me.
I'd crack a joke about all of this, but...I'm sad...I'd write something about it, but now that Friday is my definet (sp?) creative drive character, my creativity comes from him, and since I'm sad, he's sad, and since he's sad, my creativity just turns off until I'm happy again.
Too bad al these creative minds are corrupted. -points to general American teenage population-
