Do you think Danger is open to love?

I think due to his past as an orphan and his egotistical nature; I would assume that Danger wouldn't let himself fall in love so easily.

I believe that from being an orphan Danger might be afraid of loving someone only to lose them.

Also I think due to Danger's egotistical nature, he might be afraid to really open up and love someone. Because if the person he loved, didn't love him back, or if that person left him; I think Danger's ego would really be crushed.

Personally, I think Danger seems to be the type that if he had any real loving feelings for anyone he would mask those feelings, deny those feelings and/or try to push that person away.

Like Kyo from "Fruits Basket". Yeah. Now that you mention it Superfreak, it does make me wonder. Would he open his feelings of real love to someone or will he be too scared to love someone cos he might lose them. A childhood of a child can determine whether they turn good or evil.

That's true... but that doesn't mean he can't love... if he fall in love... and that person love him, the first thing he will do is annoying that person... try that person hate him or do something to be away of that person.

After all... he is doing that with his friends... because he love the loonatics... but don't want to be hurt... and he's asking attention... but don't know how to ask it...

I agree. I think Danger is quite capable of being in love. And I agree with you that he shows how he handles his deeper emotions by how he treats his fellow Loonatics.

I was wondering about how he would handle a deep loving relationship; like a romance.

So far, he's able to go after conquests like the club women. But I feel that he pursued the club women as a means to stroke his ego. As soon as he got enough kisses on his face, he went and showed off to his fellow male Loonatics. Misty Breeze was a celebrity idol where he went and got autographs, most likely as a conquest ego stroking move. And so far, he only seems to be sweet on Zadavia, in order to obtain favoritism; and I guess also as an ego inflating move since she's not only the boss but royalty.

I wonder what would precipitate Danger to really fall in love with someone. He doesn't seem the type to allow himself to be vulnerable; especially for rejection. I'm guessing love would have to sneak up on him and club him on the head in order to get a grip on him. I dunno ... I figure if he was aware that he was falling in love, he would try to fight the situation.

I think that for Danger, it would be so hard for a person to break through his psychic barrier of self-protection to get him to love them but it would be even harder for the same person to easily get him to let go. I think that whomever would be able to have Danger totally love them would have to be prepared to really mean business, or deal with the consequence of having a hard time of trying to get rid of him. I don't believe that Danger would go to crazed stalker levels but I feel that he seems to be a very determined person. I think that if he really wanted something or someone he would fight towards that goal for as long as he thought it could be feasible.

Danger is such a complex, intriguing character. Too bad, we may never see how the writers of the show might handle a Danger Duck romance.

I think you hit the nail right on the head with that in-depth analysis Super_Freak! I'm very inclined to agree with you! *hearts*

I think that if ever a woman came and started playing the flirting game, he'd go along with it - enjoying the attention he was getting and all. But then, when she'd begin to get closer and to tell him secrets and feelings and stuff, I believe he would shut off from her. He'd try to push her away, but would like it if she persisted, which would mean that she was serious.

I think that if a girl managed to push through Duck's rejecting manner for long anough, he'd give her a go... and take it really slow, still unsure about whether he should get too attached...

It's actually quite sad really... :(

This is all very philosiphical towards Duck ever since we discovered that he was an orphan. This has led us to actually making his character very deep. And we all used to be angry at him cos he hogged the spotlight. He just wanted the love and attention that he never got from his parents.

But you have to hand it to him, I'd be tad bit resentful if I was an orphan at such a young age. But he still continued on the path of good. And that's something I would love to congradulate him on.

My theory is... he rebelled in his teens and was eventually sent to Juvenile for some reason...! X3 And when he was sentenced, he saw the pained and disappointed look his foster parents gave him, so by the time he got out, he decided to stop rebelling and to help ppl... so then he tried to become a life-saver, but they wouldn't give him the job because he went to Juvenile... So he settled with being a pool boy!

We can see how he felt in The Pinkster...

At the end he try that the betrayal of his friend is nothing, but we can see he's hurt....

The only loonatics who are close to him (really really close) are Lexi and Ace, and the only ones who can see his true heart... not now... but in the future...

I had a dream where Optimatus find a weapon, Zadavia know that weapon was from one of the biggest thief, he never kill nobody, but his partner became crazy and try to destroy everything, so in the last day everyone see him he stop his partner (and she was arrested) and dissapear with the weapon. Since that day nobody see him again.

Zadavia say she never saw him personally, but he was a legend, and he talk only twice in all hi thief life.... she show a video... the two thief are ducks... when Lexy hear him to talk she said that for her he sound familiar... to say true is wasn't the voice, is what he said... but she forget...

Duck look sad when all the loonatics go to the weapon (that is a spaceship) and he said something that nobody, except Lexi, hear... and is there when she knew... she knew where is the thief...

I always have a question: why is so im portant for Duck to be a hero... why he really want help people... and is not only for attention... is something more deeper... maybe he did something really bad in the past and now he can do thing correctly...

I have good ideas... but I'm bad writting in english... so I never write my ideas Y.Y

My personal opinion about Duck would have to do a lot with, well, Duck.
While some of us see Duck as self-concieted and selfish, he does come out as a "nice" person. Now listen as I ramble on about "niceness."
Nicenessicity can come in many forms. Most people see nice as clearly being nice as giving, caring, loving, blah blah blah (not to be mean or anything). But another form of nicenessicity can be, well, not mean.
Think about it. Is Duck mean?
He can appear "mean" in some scenes of the show, as he did in Cape Duck when he almost left Tech to deal with Stomper. But in the end, he came through. He laughed at Tech before he knew that Stomper was still coming for him, that's true. But wouldn't we all? Maybe not in the same sense of "meanness," but we would all be slightly relieved. And Duck just has a bigger way of showing it then some people.
But in the end he came through. When faced with the choice of leaving Tech (who could always regenerate anyway) and saving himself, he chose to stay and defend the (at that point and time) helpless. After all that had happened between Tech and Duck (negatively), AND with Tech's ability to come back to life, Duck would rather face the option of dying than saving someone with regeneration abilities.
I believe that that is what counts as "nice."
And Duck is sometimes taken for granted. I'll admit, even Tech was "snooty" at the beginning of this episode. But even then the others still chose to leave Duck in the room with Stomper's cell. After Duck did save and prove himself worthy as a hero in action. Duck does deserve more than some of us take him granted for.
Wow, I can hear the Techies screaming at me from here. No worries, I will always love Tech no matter how "snooty" he is, even if he only was "snooty" for five seconds (spelling "fere"). No offene to Techies. Or Duckies (rubber duckies!!)
No offense to anybody, for that matter. Hey, better safe than sorry!

Cool... I love what you said about Duck... is true, sometimes he is a jerk... but when someone of his team is in danger he help...

In the episode with the martian I thinked "that's not Duck"... I don't understand why WB did Duck that jerk in that chapter....

And he hate to show his sweet face... with the Fuzz he didn't want the Loonatics saw him sad to say bye bye to Wonderfluf (I don't know how to write this name)... or when Zadavia was kidnapped and he was worried, when Lexi said that he was worried, he changed the subject and said is because he want more from Zadavia...

I'm sure he's not bad... and have a great heart... but he hate show that aspect of him...

Mi español es muy mal. Mi gramática es horrible; yo tengo problemas con verbos y estructura general de sentencia. La familia de mi madre es desde Panamá. Pero yo soy americana, porque yo nací en Estados Unidos. Por desgracia, yo aprendí español en escuelas americanas, tan mi lengua habilidad es no bueno.

Sorry, that I couldn't be of real assistance, Tyranee. But hopefully what I said is somewhat readable. It took three reference books just to be able to write that much. It's funny but once in awhile I dream in Spanish, so those language skills have to be buried somewhere in my mind.

I agree with Zadavia's spirit.
I believe that for Danger, he seems devilish on the outside but deep inside his psyche, he's a good person. I believe that inner goodness is what makes him capable of being a superhero. I wonder though, if Danger is a bit roguish because of Pinkster's possible bad influence while they were at the orphanage.

Pinkster's possible bad influence??? no I don't think so... is more somthing natural... for protection... we can see that in adopted children... and in Danger Duck case, si something from genes...

I want to know what happened to his true parents... (my hope is that his parents are Duck Dodgers and Queen Tyrhan'ee... yes I'm Dodgers/Tyranee pairing)...

I don't think his parents abandoned him... I think is more like his parents are death or something like that... and I want to see in a chapter his human parents (like I want to see Lexi, Ace, Tech and Slam families)... and I want to know his true name... I think Duck is name he gave itself for the friends... and it can't be his family name (human with the family name Duck???)...

I want he show more his sweets feelings in a chapter... for me... no matter how much he said he "hate" bunnies, his "best friend" are Lexi and Ace... is with those two he's always... he and Tech fight all the time... with Rev... well almost nothing happened betwwen those two... Slam... maybe... there's some funny chapters with those two... but still.. he is more with the bunnies... more with Lexi that Ace... jejejejejejejeje

I found another thing in common between us Tyranee: we are both Duck Dodgers/Martian Queen shippers!

Ok, I respect those who are Martian Commander X-2/Martian Queen shippers (like Martiangirl), but somehow I just itch of pairing that annoying duck with the proud queen. A great influence on me was the episode 'The Queen is Wild' where the Queen goes on about chasing Dodgers and accusing him of seeing other women like a jealous wife.

Geez, sounds like whoever runs your household has a pretty draconian ruleset to follow. As for my family, we get to watch TV or log on the computer so long as we don`t have any schoolwork or exercise to do; of course, we do have to take turns, but that`s only fair. So, I`d say our houshold is fairly lenient. That`s a bummer for you, though.

I think Duck will show his better side more often since Pinkster turned evil. That WAS his fault, and he made Pinkster evil by Pinkster knowing he would be "selfish" and use the double sided coin. I guess that was a "wake up call" for Duck, and now he won't be so quick to do those kinds of things in case he loses one of his friends/teammates.
