So, Lexi could help make Ace less of a "Stu".
I agree with you about Ace/Lexi being the sweeter relationship. Ace has far better qualities than Duck. I feel that Ace is more of an honorable person whereas Duck is more of a "bad boy". If Lexi went with Ace I believe she would have to deal with fewer problems than if she chose Duck. A Danger/Lexi relationship would most likely be quite dramatic and very passionate; especially since Duck has a more aggressive personality than Ace.
Of course, that goes back to the idea of what some people want to consider romantic. For some, a sweet, easy-going relationship is their cup of tea; where for some people that would be very boring. For others, their ideal romance would have lots of drama and passion. But there are people who would consider such a relationship dysfunctional.
As far as Ace/Lexi making Ace less of a "Gary Stu", I think it depends on how the relationship is approached by the show's writing staff. If Ace has to struggle to get into a romance with Lexi then I would say that his character will be less of a "Stu". But if Lexi fawns over Ace and she easily becomes his girlfriend then for me, Ace is a "Stu".
On another note, I read a fan's speculation that perhaps the writers are setting up a triangle with Ace/Lexi/Danger. (Personally, I'm guessing that means a Cyclops/Jean Grey/Wolverine type of situation.) I can't say if that's true but it would be in keeping with the show's triangle motif.

One reason they might want to continue the show after they get together; we could see how they`d handle Ace and Lexi being BF and GF. We could get the opportunity to see Ace blunder several times in his relationship, such as dealing with misunderstood attention towards/from another female, or having to choose between his personal happiness and the good of the team. Overall, though, Lexi would accept him for who he is, kind of like Kim Possible and Ron Stoppable.
Ace: So, yer not mad that I foigot to tell you she was my cousin?
Lexi: Mad? No. But I`m not happy that you keep these secrets either, Ace. *places a hand on Ace`s cheek* If this is going to work, we`ve got to have a little more faith in each other, `kay?
Ace: Gotcha. So, do ya still wanna head to the skatin` ring or somethin`? *rubs neck*

For me is better Duck/Lexi, because Ace is little cold and, I don't know why, I have the idea that love is not in his plans... and he doesn't see Lexi like that (many time he treats her like a kid)... mmm... no... I just don't see him with Lexi...
Lexi and Duck are the most childish of the team...

As for Lexi's eyes changing colors, I guess one of her contacts must have fallen out.
is not that... when I take that screenshot she was moving... one of the eyes have the color of the hair... is because she's moving...

Especially when angry mutant dolphins with a grudge begin sinking water-based utilities by commanding a myriad of large sea life to create whirlpools in a vendetta against all humanity.
Danger: Hey, Lex! Have you heard? Lexi: Heard what? Danger: The darker the duck, the sweeter the meat! Lexi: [She brain blasts Danger's bill off his face.] Danger's bill on the floor: You're despicable!

Actually, feathers for a bird are like hair for a human. If you pluck anybird they would have underneath the pale chicken skin....not very attractive.
Remember how Duck looked like when Royal Tweetums used the laser in 'The Heir up there'? Ouch.
But yeah, dark-haired people tend to be more......passionate.
Naughty Duck!

Aaaw I don't think Duck's naughty for being more passionate. Either he's a scorpio or was born on the year of the snake. They are both passionate symbols you know.
Duck: Are you meant ot be really passionate then? You're both.
Me: I know. Hee hee!
Duck: Eerr... Akira... why are you approaching me like that!?
You're right about the feathers only being black, Lumosnight. Supposedly, I've heard that for hunting wild ducks, black ducks are considered to be the tastiest.
Speaking of naughtiness...
I noticed from the show what I felt were some dodgy Danger/Lexi moments:
Stop The World, I Want To Get Off—The antigravity Duck/Lexi tussle. My goodness ... 'nuff said. Massive must be a Danger/Lexi shipper.
The Hunter—Danger's bump to the bottom. Lexi had a smirk on her face as she was seemly looking towards Duck's backside. Also, from the distance Lexi was standing from Danger and from their positioning, she would've had to have slapped him on the bottom for him to have been hit from where he was standing. Even though Lexi didn't do such a thing, the implication is there.
Apocalypso—The part where Danger and Lexi utilized their powers to refuel the ship. I won't dwell on postulated cryptic symbolism (especially since there could be minors reading this *blush*) but there seemed to be an "erotic" overtone.
On a different note, I noticed that in The Comet Cometh. It seems that while the other Loonatics recollected their past in their private thoughts; Danger and Lexi shared their past with one another.
I do personally think Duck and Lexi have an interesting conflictive sibling-type relationship now. Lexi's the one that always seems to get the most outwardly annoyed with Duck's egotism and won't hesitate to put him in line with a brain blast to the butt! Duck regards Lexi as lower than himself (as he does with all the others including Ace!) and hence likes to exert dominance over her where he can, like in making decisions and getting his way in situations. These two seem to interact alot more in the second season, getting on each others' nerves often. Why the writers wanted to portray more Duck/Lexi conflict moments can only be speculated on now.

IMHO, I think it's because it adds drama and comedy to the show. For instance, I feel that the antigravity moment was hilarious. What's love got to do with it? Funny is funny.
Gasp! Maybe that's why the symbol of an inverted triangle was used to represent the Loonatics! It's hinting at a love triangle relationship between Ace, Lexi and Duck! Muhahahahahaha!
And i have black hair too! But i don't consider myself that passionate really...
Super Freak wrote:IMHO, I think it's because it adds drama and comedy to the show. For instance, I feel that the antigravity moment was hilarious. What's love got to do with it? Funny is funny.
True true. It's all probably primarily for comedy.
(scenario) WB head: The fans'll love this triangle... secretary: Uh, sir? There's a mob of Looney Tune fans outside, yelling about something...cross-species...or something like that. WB head: ...sigh.

And when they were in the chinese town and fight against those rocks (it was Danger who save her and he looked angry)... and when she said to the Duck: you look delicious (well is taht she said in the spanish version)
the_oddity wrote: In the English version, Lexi said, "Well, don't you look saucy."

Um, I think that`s a reference to what Duck was saying earlier about how he`s not particularly fond of places where roasted duck with orange sauce is a dish (or something like that). He also comments that if anyone starts drooling, he`s quacking outta there. Not so much innuendo to me, but then again I`m Ace/Lexi, so...moot argument.
Tyranee wrote: And when they were in the chinese town and fight against those rocks (it was Danger who save her and he looked angry)... and when she said to the Duck: you look delicious (well is taht she said in the spanish version)
I forgot about that moment. That's a good call, Tyranee.
the_oddity wrote:In the English version, Lexi said, "Well, don't you look saucy."

IMHO, both versions are suggestive; but the Spanish version sounds a tad naughtier.
In reference to the Spanish version: That's funny because the other day when I was watching the DVD, I was wondering about how the show's jokes are translated into other languages. I know that when non-US/non-English cartoons are translated for the states, supposedly a lot is lost in the translation.
Anyways, there was a Danger quote from A Creep in the Deep; about how he and Lexi make a good team ... or something like that. Anybody has or remembers the exact quote? Hmm, it seems the show's writers possibly like to have a bit of dodgy fun with Lexi and Danger. Well, I guess that's in keeping with the MM/LT legacy of there being a bit of suggestive naughtiness strewn about in their cartoons.
That quote from "Creep in the Deep" was from Ace! He said to Duck and Lexi: "You two should team up more often"! GAAHH! Ace couldn't be supporting Duck/Lexi too could he?!
Black Oracle wrote: That quote from "Creep in the Deep" was from Ace! He said to Duck and Lexi: "You two should team up more often"! GAAHH! Ace couldn't be supporting Duck/Lexi too could he?!
I remember that... I was laughting... he is supporting Duck and Lexi relation???
No... I don't think so... (like I think that Ace love Lexi like a sister)...
Someone can write the complete phrase... I remember he said something else before this quote!!!!
Unfortunately, A Creep in the Deep isn't online, and AFAIK, I don't have a copy of that episode. For some reason I kind of remember Duck telling Lexi something about them working well together but until the episode is rebroadcast (or worse, until the second season DVD comes out) that supposed exchange will be hearsay.
Ace encouraging Danger and Lexi working together; most likely means that Ace's mind is on business and not pleasure, especially with Lexi. It's just one of the reasons why I don't think the writers have "officially" shipped Lexi with any of her colleagues yet. Personally, I need to be hit with a huge shippy anvil in order to believe that Lexi is romantically linked to Ace and/or Danger.
Right now, I think the Danger/Lexi moments are purely for fun. I assume that the writers might be more willing to show Lexi and Danger in dodgier moments because they probably believe that most people wouldn't immediately consider Danger and Lexi to be romantically linked. I believe that the writers can get away with a lot more with Danger and Lexi before a romance might even be considered feasible. Think about some of the situations Danger and Lexi have been in, now if Lexi had experienced those exact same moments with Ace, I believe a lot of people would assume those very same moments as shippy. It's like if Ace falls on top of Lexi, it's shippy; if Danger falls on top of Lexi, it's comedy.

True... but still... if all were human and no bunnies, Duck, coyotes, etc.... I think people will yhink different (or maybe no)...
I see more for the personality... Ace is too boyscout for Lexi... I think she is someone who like "Bad Boys"... maybe I'm wrong, but is how I feel...
And that "friendship" between Laxi and Duck is since the first season (but is more strong in the second one)... is true maybe WB will make a Lexi/Ace pairing... or maybe any pairing... but still it would be great something different... unexpected...
No... I see her more with Duck... and I have that feeling since the first season... the first chapter of the loonatics that I saw was the one with the rocks... since that moment I said: those two look great together...
Ace is someone that no girl can catch... and I see him a little cold in romantic... Duck is more... how can I say it... hot... is true he is a jerk... and with Lexi too... but still she is always with him...
Is funny, I saw all the chapters of the first season this weekend (a special of loonatics in cartoon network) and each time someone of the team is angry with Duck, the only one who use his powers against him is Lexi... and with a smile (in the rock chapter... she was smiling)... and she doesn't like it when he forgot her name... (but I think he did that to annoy that wheater gorl (I'm bad with the names... more because I saw those chapters in spanish and I know they name in snglish... but I forget how to write them)...
Fore me is not bad a Ace/Lexi pairing (yes... kill me!!!)... but I don't see those two together, the only thing they have in common is that they are of the same specie... maybe I'm wrong... but think about the loonatics like humans... like I do... that's why I see Ace with Zadavia too... jejejejejejejeje
Well, one thing I can say, Tyranee, besides that I still repect your views and opinion, is that you are definitely my equal on pairing grounds. I`ve more or less managed to convince most everyone here (including - I think - naysayers like Cali-Bunny and Martiangirl, unless I am mistaken) that an Ace/Lexi pairing is the most likely and most hinted-at couple in the show, but you manage to hold onto your views, and even have one or two who loyally follow those views (Lumosnight and, possibly, Super Freak), and for that, I respect you.
In our own strange way, we are sort of like leaders for our beliefs, I for Ace/Lexi and you for Duck/Lexi, both who have managed to convince others with our influence that our views hold some ground (and help others come out of the closet with those views). I tip my hat off to you (wait...do I even have a hat?) in awe of your dedication and resilience for beliefs you hold dear. That is one quality I most certainly respect, the mark of a truly free kindred soul (of course, if anyone just so happens to agree with my opinions, that`s fine too ).
