I remember the first time I came into the fandom, that I read someone (I think it was Spootay on DA) saying that they thought Tech wanted Ace's arse... X3

The numbers tell you how many mines are nearby, and you can figure out where they are from that (assuming you don't hit a mine on the first click. ;P ). I never really tried for real, so I don't know if I'd be any good or not.

Watch until you here the part where Ace asks "Has anyone seen Lexi?" Then pay attention. Watch closely as Tech picks up Lexi's hologram chip.
Here are 2 explanations:
1. Tech has flexibility/three arms
2. The animators missed this.
