The Cookie Caper Author’s Note: I wrote this while thinking about this past week. The beginning of it was especially depressing and frustrating for me due to personal issues and I just wanted a way to say thank you to everyone who gave me advice and cheered me up. You people are all awesome. My apologies that the only way I know to express gratitude is through writing. So yeah, what you are about to read is dedicated to you lufflies (you know who you are). I hope you enjoy it in all its shortness. Oh, and I might warn you that this revolves around Rev and Tech. What can I say? I love them two. “Mm,” the sorrowful sigh escaped before it was even realized.
Tech, who had been previously walking past on his way to the lab, did a double take. He found himself in a state of surprise to see Rev sitting dejectedly at the table in the main room. The roadrunner was solemn, tracing his finger in lazy circles around the table.
The coyote pulled out a chair across the table, taking a seat and staring at his friend with an intense gaze. He was silent, caught off guard by the uncharacteristic display. Finally, crossing his arms and leaning back, he asked, “What’s wrong?”
Rev looked up expressionlessly. “What-are-you-talking-about?” he asked boredly, his ‘unique’ sense of speech never failing to grace his voice, even in the mood he was in.
Tech stared, unsure of what to say.
Staring back, the roadrunner said nothing for a moment. “Okay-so-I-had-a-fight-with-Duck...” he confessed, sinking down in his seat, momentarily glancing up at the ceiling.
Tech continued to stare, raising an eyebrow slightly as Rev began to ramble, perhaps more to himself then to the coyote.
“...And-oh-man-he-is-just-so—SO—you-know?” the roadrunner exclaimed, throwing his hands up in the air. “Maybe-I’m-overreacting-and-I-guess-it’s-really-not-that-big-of-a-deal-that-he-stole-my-cookies-AGAIN-but-I...” He kept at it for a few minutes at least. Truth be told, Tech began to lose track of the time somewhere amidst his friend’s jumbled speech.
He finally sighed with content. “Gee-thanks-Tech-you-always-know-just-what-to-say,” Rev gushed happily, smiling at the coyote with renewed strength and passion. Yeah, he was back to his old self alright. In the spur of the moment, the roadrunner quickly hugged Tech before running off at his usual high speed, mentioning something about a pick-me-up shake.
That was all he needed, Tech couldn’t help but muse—more energy. Shaking his head at the overall oddity of his friend and teammate, the coyote stood from the table. Humming to himself, he gathered his thoughts and headed for his lab as if nothing had distracted him in the first place.
It seemed that neither Tech or Rev had noticed that the team’s leader, Ace, had been meditating not too far off. That, or they simply didn’t care. The bunny had a satisfied smirk on his face from where he sat motionless, his cross-legged position suggesting absolute tranquility.
From the kitchen, an energetic voice could be heard over the sound of a blender. “You-are-the-only-one-on-this-team-who-would-sink-SO-LOW...”
“You’re despicable.”
Simple as that, all was right in Acmetropolis once again. That’s all folks!

Awww! Short, but sweet as cookies! He he! Another delightful read to warm the heart. All Rev needed was a friend to listen to his troubles. Y'know, i just talked about being there for friends in another thread.

^ ^; Glad you enjoyed it. I'd improve it a little but I'm so tired right now and I think I'm getting sick. I have a fever which gives me a headache. Ah well, it's Spring Break, what do I care if I get sick now? x3 Anyways, I wrote this while watching a movie so it is very short indeed. I got the idea in my head and it just need to be written. =3
Oh dear, now you're not feeling good. Well get plenty of rest and drink lots fluids, and no stressing and straining yourself! Hopefully you recover soon.

Yeah. My little brother is to blame. He got sick and nearly lost his voice last week and apparently he was contagious. o__o; I'm just glad that I have break though. I can just do nothing and be over it by the time I go back to school. -drags self from computer- Sleep...
Hey! Tech like had... no lines! And Duck had even less. XD
The little scene with Ace was sweet! OH! This was so adorable! X3
It pleases my soul just as much as your picture does! Just started colouring his pants... and his eyes are pretty much done... I'm sure KJ can tell you how awesome it looks.
Not saying anything else... Hope you feel better soon! ^_^

Yeah. That was the point/irony. xD I s'pose I could have elaborated somewhat but I wanted to keep it short and sweet. ^ ^; -cling- I have no doubt that it is awesome. All your art is beautiful. And of course, thank you! -love- =3 Now I'm off to church 'cause I'm gonna be late... o: -runs away-
Aaaw! That was sweet. I found it funny that Tech didn't say a word and Rev thanks him for it. Not that it's a critisism in your story cos that would be the sort of thing Rev would do. I could imagine the story in my head. So nice work!

Hehe. xD No worries here, dude. That was the reaction I was expecting. Thanks, glad you enjoyed it! ^ ^;

-cling- x3 Heehee. It would be awesome if they had some sort of scene like it one day. I was picturing it in my head and that's why I felt driven to write it... I just think it would be cute. =D

Indeed. X3 So yummy. I must tell my parents to buy some more for moi.
-is drawing Wile E. and the Road Runner- Okay, it's official... the Road Runner is a hell of a lot harder to draw then he looks. xx; -erases for the thousandth time-
Awwwwwww!! I always love these little ficlets with Tech and Rev, really shows how good of friends they are, even though the show doesn't illustrate that as much as we think.
