There's definitley more to Zadavia than has been released. What other powers does she have as an alien? Is she immortal? What's her color? Who were her parents?
Well "The Music Villain" would seem to suggest that Zadavia's powers are light-based, and she's seems susceptible to different forms of light (as seen when she was getting a headache at the concert with the flashing multi-coloured lights) and if she is cut off from light altogether, she becomes weakened and powerless.
I don't think she's immortal, she can die. Otherwise why would all the Loonatics worry so much over her safety?
As to her parentage, she was born into royalty on Freleng, so she's of royal blood. Her parents presumably must have been the former king and queen (or Emperor and Empress) of Freleng.
Maybe Zadavia gets her light and energy when radiated by sunlight. Kind of like Superman. I wonder why Rupes made a big deal of being a part of Zadavia's royal court. What was he before he turned bad?
That's an interesting theory about Zadavia needing exposure to sunlight Stella. Except if that was the case, then why would she coop herself miles below the surface of the sea where little sun light would reach her? I think her powers are based on some kind of cosmic light energy probably. And perhaps her underwater base is fitted with special light radiators that emit a specific type of light that she needs to sustain herself. Just another theory.
And i guess Rupes was just a normal Frelengian citizen in the past. He probably wanted to join the royal court in the hope of becoming a high status official that would be more recognizable to the world. He just wanted attention from people as the Loonatics figured in "The Music Villain".
Well I did a bit of research for the meaning of her name on baby naming websites. I couldn't find an actual meaning for Zadavia but I did try to find the name that sounds mostly the same. And the closest I could get was Zahava and Zahavah.
Both names mean "Golden" in Hebrew. Could be something. I don't know.
Interesting find Akira. May have some relevance behind Zadavia's name. Tho' my personal feeling still is that the producers came up with 'Zadavia' mostly by chance. In the initial show concept, Zadavia was going to be called 'Maxima' actually. So when they were re-designing the characters, i suppose they tried to think of another name that sounded similar to 'Maxima'.
Whenever I search zadavia on google I get mazdausa which is a sale for Mazdas (car). So Zadavia's a car. But I agree with Black Oracle. I think Zadavia was a random name WB thought up of. What do you think Zadavia would have been like if she was still Maxima?
I think Maxima probably was supposed to be a wealthy and resourceful businesswoman judging by what she was wearing in that first look clip from before the Loonatics' redesigns. Maybe she wouldn't have been an alien princess.
