Well I was just posting in another post to "25+ ways to prove you're a Loonatic fan" on another topic and then I just thought.
We know why Mallory Mastermind, Weathervane, Pinkster, and Optimatus are evil. But what about villains like Sypher, Massive, Ophinchus Sam and other villains? Why do you think they turned evil? We can't just say someone is evil and leave it at that. There must be reasons why some villains we have seen are evil. Here are some of my theories that I thought:
Massive- We know he wants to be the richest guy on earth. But why does he resort to stealing? I have 3 theories to his reason for doing this. One reason is that he has to pay a big debt that is almost impossible to pay back and he couldn't find a way to repay it until he recieved his powers from the meteor.
The second reason could be is that someone who he feels close to like a family member or a lover is being held hostage and if he doesn't pay the money, that person won't be set free. So he might resort to stealing like that.
My third reason is that he could have had a bad upbringing, and that the abuse he's recieved could make him have hatred for everything and everyone.
Sypher- Sypher we can tell from his behaviour that he wants to be the most famous guy in the world and wants constant attention. Could this sort of behaviour hide an insecurity that he has?
Maybe he was bullied in the past and that motivated him to try and show the bullies or peers from his past that he isn't as inferior as they made him out to be.
Again, he could have had a bad upbringing and was neglected as a child and he just wanted some love and attention. If he had any siblings, there could have been some sibling rivalry in the process.
Even so, he is trying to make a name of himself but is doing it the wrong way.
Ophinchus Sam-He is a futuristic bounty hunter. We all know of Yosemite Sam being the sort of cowboy that he is at this moment in time. Could it be that as a child he idolised his ancestor and wanted to persue that route, not realising it was wrong? He did keep saying that "He'd be the most rootnin' tootnin' bounty hunter in this side of the city". So that could be one theory.
Also, he could have been bullied at school and the same as Sypher, wants to prove to everyone that he can make a name out of himself but is approaching it the wrong way.
There are more villains that I would analyse but I'll leave it up to you guys to give your own opinions about your theories on why some of the villains are evil.
Weathervane was understandable. She is bullied by Misty. It is real tough to get the job you want when attractiveness and experience is a requirement, and the jerks get the best job.
Mallory might be because she wanted to impress Tech a lot. She probably felt inferior compared to his intellect. Not that I am finally agreeing with you, but I think if she wanted to absorb minds, it is probably to match Tech's intellect.
Pinkster might have grown-up in the mob. When they arrested his family, he must have been taken to the orphanage. Bugsy and Stoney were probably ordered to adopt him.
Well i figured that Massive just wanted to get money the easy way when he discovered his advantageous powers of gravity manipulation. Why work his butt off in some boring job to earn a living when he can just take what he wants?
Sypher wanted to be popular, and when he discovered he could steal other people's powers and skills, he found the perfect way to get in the spotlight. With his 'energy transfer' powers, he could be as good as any professional in any sport! He just wanted to be the centre of attention. He didn't care by what means he gained acknowledgement.
Ophichius Sam probably got into the bounty hunter business coz he just liked doing it. He liked carrying guns around and riding a robotic steed and being wild and free, so he figured he'd do that all his life. His sucess as a bounty hunter though is another matter.

Mmm, not sure about your Mastermind reasoning there. I don't think Mastermind ever sought to impress anyone as a primary goal. In the past, it looked more like she simply wanted to become the smartest person of all by absorbing the knowledge of other academics. Purely a self-satisfying goal. And obviously by the time she confronts Tech again in "Menace of Mastermind", her main desire is for revenge against Tech.
I figure Sypher was tired of being ol' Joe Shmo or worse than that. He mentioned he had "been where" the Loonatics were and that he was "not going back." So I guess he had a pretty sucky past like Ace/Lexi/Duck/Tech/Slam/Rev.

That's true about Weathervane. She was taken advantage by Misty and no one else paid any attention to her. She felt underrated, so she resorted to evil.
Mallory became evil, I believe is because she felt that she wasn't as smart as Tech, so she wants to get revenge on him for all those times that she was underrated, too. She was a student, but Tech was a tutor, so it might have been jealousy that made her evil.
Pinkster probably lied about saying that he wanted to grow up in a mob family. It's either he lied about knowing Duck had a two headed coin and was upset for so long that Duck got adopted. Or, he decided to plant a two headed coin, to be generous to Duck and he just grew up to be evil. My third theory would be that once Pinkster was adopted by Stoney and Bugsy, he was probably treated very badly and he took it very personally.
Sypher is pretty understandable, as well. The way I see it, he was also bullied and underrated, just like Weathervane. He was probably very weak and he doesn't have any self- esteem about himself, so he became evil, just to get public attention.
Deuce became evil, because he had different ideas for things, but Zadavia basically blew him off and didn't listen. He then had an idea, which was evil, but Zadavia then kicked him off of the team.
Ophiucius also doesn't have any confidence in himself. He was probably bothered in school or was known as a loser. Or, he might not realize what he does, because he is so gullible.

Well the one villain that is hard to find the reason for his wicked ways is Pierre Le Pew. We know that he wanted loads of money from the punters that come and watch the fights just for entertainment. But why though? Why go along that route?
Maybe because he was an entreprener in some form of business in the past but he got fired by the boss so he thought he'd get a wacking huge ship and gather or even capture wrestlers from different planets just to get them to fight, so that he can show his boss' what he is capable of.
Maybe he remembered collecting bets at school when he was seven, for playground fights with the school bullies or gangs as such and thought it would inspire him to do the same with wrestlers.
