...gotta be honest, it just seemed like the right thing for him to say when the audience wasn't necessarily expecting him to wake up. V_V


I MEAN!

I have analyzed the show very carefully and have done a psychoanalysis on each character. As Duck grew up in an orphanage, which must have been crowded with kids at some point, he was exposed to tight spaces in his bleak youth. When he is in confined spaces, I have decided, it brings back haunting memories of his childhood with love and parental guidance, thus he's claustrophobic.

There wasn't even a hint of contempt or anger or regret... Just... Meh-ness.

Maybe Duck's come to terms with the fact that he was an orphan and simply accepted it?

What you said has got me thinking whether Duck's parents did indeed abandon him. If his parents was dead, then would he have been a little more upset than what he was when he was talking about it? Who knows. But after what you've said, I have a feeling that his parents may have abandoned him.

Oh, no. It would be far worse to know that your parents didn't love you and felt that they had to get rid of you rather than couldn't love you because of their... You know... Inability to live...

I personally think that Duck has no memory of his parents whatsoever. And honestly, I don't think he'd really give it a second thought. I mean, look what he has; a respected life as a super crime fighter who's constantly praised for the protection of his home planet! I don't think he'd be giving that aspect of his life [the fact that he grew up in an orphanage] a second thought. If anything, it would enfuel his ego. "Yeah, I had no parents, but look where I am today! Just goes to show that you really can't keep a good bird down..."

Honestly, he cared more about the fact that he tricked Pinkster rather than the little detail that, yes, he was an orphan. Possibly because being parentless is all he's known? Whereas Pinkster was most likely his first and foremost dearest friend throughout his childhood.

Yes it made sense.

I think you're right about the whole three paragraphs. It could also show that his extroverted behaviour could be due to lack of boundaries that he could have been set with but wasn't.

And what you said about Duck having no memory of his parents... Aaaaw! I just had a cute thought! What if he was left outside the orphanage on a cold snowy winter's night and was found on a doorstep by someone from there and took him in? That would be so cute aww.gif !

But there is one thing that you may have missed out; Danger and Daffy Duck always says something about their mothers. Whether they said it  just as they were about to be crushed by an anvil or something like that. And referring to Dragon_Wing's story, he screams for his mother. Does that mean he may have had at least a relationship with her?

I doubt it. Calling out for their mother’s would have been a humorous, pathetic trait that the writers added to make both characters seem more cowardly and therefore more amusing.

“I want my Mommy.” (‘Cape Duck’) could easily have been him referring to the woman who adopted him.

Well… She took him in, put a roof over his head, fed him, clothed him, sent him to school with his little lunch-pack… Surely he would call her his mother? Especially since he had no other experience with a female parental figure… One would think he would jump at the chance to receive any form of parent and the right to call them so.

The image of Duck being taken in is adorable. The carer opens the door and looks down to see Duck’s massive blue eyes gazing up at her longingly. =3

I like to think (aside from the Martian theory) that his father left his mother who fell pregnant at a young age because she became pregnant. But not long after Duck was born, his mother died. And as no one knew of any other family, he was sent to the orphanage. And I think he knows this, which is why he came across as so compliant of the whole ‘orphaned’ situation in ‘In The Pinkster’.

God, I could talk about Duck forever. XD

1.) He always leaves the toilet seat up and blames that Ace is the one doing it.

2.) He looks at Lexi's 'Victora's Secret' magazines (and it aint for the low prices on undergarments, if you know what I mean?)

3.) He might be heffaphobic (since he WAS scared of the cow the Stomper dropped on him).

Duck might have a nastier eating habit then Slam does, because you in "Duck Dodgers" that Daffy (Duck Dodgers) sometimes eats some of the weirdest and disgusting food.
If you think the food that Daffy ateon DD was gross, you proubelly DON'T want to know the types of food Duck might eat :bleh.

You do have a point. Duck complains about not eating to much but then I've seen him in two or three episodes digging through the fridge and brining out a huge lunch. Like in "The Hunter" He pretty much emptied the entire fridge. XD
