I second the nomination of Black_Oracle!

I think I could do the job, but I haven't been around for long, so take that for what it's worth.

Regarding the forum, I think it runs quite smoothly as is. Sometimes it marks a thread as having new posts when it really doesn't, but that's a minor quibble since I usually go by the times to see what's new.

Good grief! I never come to the Headquarters forum! I really should check it more! People think i'd make a good mod? Aww gosh you guys! *Blushes profusely.* Umm, what does a mod have to do exactly then? Don't know if i'd be any good at the role really.

We have 100 members now? That's good news! The LU fan population grows!

On the side of improving the forum, i feel it runs smoothly for the most part. I've noticed some of the minor points about post limits within a certain time frame and threads being highlighted as having a new post when they don't necessarily as oddity and Skifox says. But those are really minor points. The quick reply feature has been very convenient for me personally, but i don't have an emoticon list to add smiles to my quick replies with. But that's no real biggie either.

Awesome! I see many have agreed with my nomination for Black Oracle for mod

As for moderator responsibilities, it's pretty much making sure things are in check on the forum... tidying up stuff here and there, and also if there's any disputes/activity that goes against the rules of the forum - we'd try to end that as soon as we could...

I figured that you'd be a good moderator since you're around for the most part and you tend to see most of the activity here... 'cept for this post

Hmm. Black_Oracle, loonaticfan, and Skifox are in the running. Has anyone seen Doma lately?

The forum is automatically set for someone not to post until after 60 seconds have passed. I didn't know that some people's computers were so quick.... I wish I had a fast computer (or, come to think of it, one that works).

I'll change the post time limit, but I can't do anything about the "new posts" icon.

I'll inform you guys of my new moderator decision by next week, if I'm on. In 1.5 months at the latest, and if you don't hear from me after that, go and attack godiswatchingyou2007.

B_O: I don't think anybody's desperate, but you are definitely qualified x 10^bazillion. You're the most active, and certainly one of the most respected members of this forum.

Okay, so Black_Oracle, loonaticfan, Skifox, Akira, and kari bunny are all in the running. I'm going to need another day or so to think on this.

Akira, if you become a moderator, you're going to have to promise to give up the dream cakes. The newbies to this board have a right not to be...uh, changed by them.

And this goes for anyone vying for a mod spot: no attempting to force your pairing or fan beliefs on anyone. That applies to current moderators as well (which means no attacking people if they don't support Ace/Lexi, or if they aren't a Techie or a Revvie...

).

It hasn't seemed (to me, at least) like there's been any forcing or attacking around here since I joined up. Just a lot friendly rivalry, which is half the fun!
