Mmmm, that country cooking menu sound yumlicious! Is that the sort of stuff you eat frequently then Ski? *Licks lips.* I'd like to try corn pudding! Here in Yorkshire we have fattening bangers n' mash, Yorkshire pudding, Toad in the hole, fish and chips, steaks and pork pies!
Ya that sounds really good Skifox! -licks lips- Mmmmm..... ham.....
Here in B.C., my family and i had turkey, mashed patatoes, brussel sprouts, broccoli, corn, salad, and..... i think it was some sort of pie and ice cream for desert.

Ya I'm Canadian. I live on Vancouver Island! Most of my fam. live in Campbell River (where i live!), Van. or Winipeg, Manitoba.
aka: fam = family Van. = Vancouver (its what my mom calls it and now thats what i call it sometimes!)
Ace: hey doggirl! me: ya! Ace: next time we have your cousins over, YOU get to babysit them. After what happened im NEVER going near them again! me: ya ya, you were still complaining after they left. I get it.
Awww, not too fond of your cousins are you doggirl? The main problem with me and most of my family is that i'm culturally removed from them. I'm from a Chinese family, but i'm very Westernized.
well its not that im not fond of them its just....
Ace: THEY ARE ANNOYING, THEY DON'T LISTEN, THEY GET UNDER MY SKIN VERY EASILY, THEY BUG ME FOR THE FUN OF IT AND THEY ARE THE MOST...... ARG!!!!!!!! me: -hides under the desk-
...... pretty much that. Not all my cousins are like that though. Wait..... no, most of my cousins are like that. But the two that live in Campbell River are my youngest cousins who i see pretty much every week and the others, hmmmm.... id say id be lucky to see them once every 6 months.

Same with my cousins. The closest ones live a whole hour away. But, we talk on MSN alot, so that makes it better.
Random question! What does ROFCOPTOR mean?

Well, not usually all at once. One or two is usually the most we have on non-holidays, though we do have them a bit more often during the summer when we have a garden. Oh, believe me, Southern cooking is far from health food. Dishes usually are heavy on salt, and often include ham fat or bacon/bacon grease for seasoning, but are tremendously flavorful.
I'll have to type up the recipe for corn pudding and send it to you. It's prepared by taste to a certain extent, but you should be able to get pretty close.
Tell me something - why do you call it Yorkshire pudding when there's nothing pudding-y about it?
CassidyCoyote wrote: Random question! What does ROFCOPTOR mean?
It's a portmanteau of the net speak rofl and helicopter. The meaning is no different than rofl by itself, but like roflcakes, roflcopter just sounds funnier. ^_^

And the Yorkshire diet isn't paticularly healthy either Ski. But i like to eat Yorkies and stuff every once in a while. I love my British food! Since i'm from a Chinese family, my mum normally cooks Chinese type dishes at home though.
And y'know, i have no idea why we call 'Yorkshire puddings' pudding, even though it doesn't fulfill the purpose of a dessert.
And you have a recipe for corn pudding! Yummy! How hard is it to make actually? I can't say i'm the best cook in the world, but i could give a go at making it if it's not too hard i suppose.
Black Oracle wrote: British Colombia, i see. I have some relatives in Canada too. It's so nice over there. I've been to Toronto and Vancouver before.
Any plans to visit Toronto again? ;)
The last time i was in Toronto was quite a few years ago, and i in was in Vancouver last summer. Don't know when i'll have the chance to visit again, tho' maybe me and my sister might have to think about visiting Toronto again soon. We like to keep in contact with our relatives y'see. We have cousins in Toronto. But this July, me and my family are heading to Malaysia for 2 weeks. Maybe we could look at Toronto for our next holiday!
