If you're going on a tour in Europe, it is better to spend your money on home-made European food rather than snacks.
Drink European beer - and I mean the local beer and drinks. Eat the national foods - you'll see how the others eat. There is no such thing as 'European' food: Europe is made up of countries where each has their own unique cuisine. Each country has its own language, its own tradition..... Europe is very variable. That's why I love living in this continent.

Worst thing to do is eating a 'typical german food' in Holland or a typical Italian food in France, or a typical French food in Spain etc.
Like Lumosnight said, always eat the country's own food, not only you'll be able to say you tried the real thing, but you'll feel that much better than with sneaks.
