I`m sure some of you have noticed I`ve been a little patrolling of the forum lately; I apologize for any entertaining discussions I may have disrupted, but I feel that we should try our best to keep the content here suitable for ages 13+. I myself have engaged in innuendo before (and of a rather scandalous nature at that), but lately I`ve seen references to alcohol, mature sexual art, and even a certain appendage.
Now, I understand you`re all just trying to have fun, and I suppose the occasional adult joke is okay, plus the problem doesn`t appear to be too bad, but I want to make sure it doesn`t get out of control. I don`t want to disappoint Cali-Bunny, so I`m doing my duty as a mod and trying to control the amount of naughty humor going into these topics.
I do have to allow some freedom, as most of us are adults or close to that age, but until Cali herself clarifies the matter further, I insist that we try to refrain from too much innuendo for the time being.
I hope I haven`t damaged anyone`s opinion of myself; I simply have responsibilities, and I am bound by honor and dedication to uphold those responsibilities. I am reluctant to utilize my powers, for I fear I will turn friends into enemies if I become too controlling. However, I just want to make sure no-one gets in trouble for accidently discussing an overly-sensitive subject.
I thank you all for taking time to read this notice, and for being so reasonable regarding conduct among fellow members.
A fair point to make Crossfire. Not that i myself am bothered by such references (where i can understand them), but for the sake of some younger board members and visitors to this site, we should try not to let ourselves fall into adult innuendo too frequently. A spot here or there is okay, but just not so often. It can set a bad image for us here if other people see too much of this kind of thing, and we want to be showing a good image to others.
I too fell that stuff like that should be kept to a minimum because there are younger viewers here but and don't take this the wrong way Crossfire or anyone else...I don't want to have a mod that acts like my mother you know, its your duty and all but just don't overreact...the way Boston did. ;)
Well the rest of us also need to understand that Crossfire is trying to fulfill his responsibilities as a mod here, we may not always like it when he tells us to behave but that's his job. He has to look at the big picture in regards to this board's maintainenace, but the rest of us don't always have that perspective and duty. It's good that you're trying to perform your role properly Crossfire, and i trust your judgement in these matters. I think you're being quite fair in just giving us friendly reminders when conversations start going into borderline territories, it's not like you're over-reacting.
