Sad news about LU

I'm afraid that isn't terribly new news. Kids' WB's fall line-up was made public a couple of months ago, and has been on Wikipedia for most of the time since that announcement.

Let's try to cling to the hope that WB will at least consider bringing it back in Spring or Fall '08, depending on how those new shows pan out. =/

The new shows sound dumb. And a spider man series has been around for ages. At least in my country.

KidsWB not having LU in their new line up doesn't interest me much. Maybe cause KidsWB isn't in Australia. We get stupid Boomerang. We don't even have S2 yet. By the time we get S2, S3 would have been created, so everyone's happy. (That's if a S3 DOES get created)

All the new cartoons coming out are, generally, cheaply drawn and randomly plotted. - -;
Like that one cartoon I saw that's coming soon... "Total Drama Island" or somethin'.
The TV is going to the dogs... and I use that term loosely (I love dogs xD).

Dude, animated shows have been going on the dogs for years. The medium's just gotten way too expensive to make a huge investment in.

-shrugs- True, but in the past there's always been at least one good quality show coming out amongst a bunch of bad ones... but since Loonatics Unleashed and Class of the Titans, I haven't seen any new cartoons worth obsessing over. Lately they're all done with the cheap style of Carl2 and Johnny Test... Even shows that are okay like 6teen have characters that are far from memorable. It's just bad cookie cutter high school humor.

[To be honest, I was half-expecting this to happen. I didn't really want this cartoon to get cancelled; it was the whole reason I was practicing to get up at 6:00am to be early to see it, even though I knew it came on at 8:00am.]

[I guess that I don't really have a reason to get up early anymore...]

[I'd write an angry letter to Kid's WB, but that wouldn't help, would it?]

dang hopefully then bring back sometime soon maybe in 08 because i saw most of season 1 but then it skipped my mind and i find out i missed season 2 and their stoping the show? sucks =\ also i saw this coming as well because to many people were whining about how lu is a mockery of the original looney toons

Bah! Loonatics Unleashed is the new generation of the all-inspiring show, Looney Toones. Nobody realizes the inner beauty of all cartoons: The heart put into it to make the show reach kids across the nation.

Exactly! People are not appreciating all the hard work, talent and heart put into it, they're just too busy whining and complaining how it isn't the Looney Tunes or that they've ruined them. Loonatics Unleashed is it's own show loosely based on the Looney Tunes. They aren't exactly like them and thats what makes them so lovable. They are their own characters with their own personalities.

And I believe it's spelled Looney Tunes.

Actually, all the artistic "hard work" is simply done by cheap Korean labor. Look at the credits and you'll see. That's how things are nowadays.

Though if you mean creative writing, then... well, I really can't say the overall writing for this show is the greatest, either. BUT, they managed to nail the characters awesomely, so somebody must have a knack for creating entertaining dialogue, at least.

As much as I hate this news, I believe I saw this coming. I think the combination of anti-LUers and the fact that the show's popularity has slightly (or majorly) decreased (in my opinion) since the past few episodes.
Now I have to find that "In case LU is cancelled" plan I put up here. 'Cept I'm not real good at writing "calm, heartfelt letters" as much as I am angry ones. *reads "Writing Calm, Heartfelt Letters for Dummies."

That doesn't necessarily mean there will be a third season, peridiotgirl. TV.com, and correct me if I'm wrong, has no connection with the actual show, meaning anyone could have put a season three on the episode guide.
And Black Oracle has already started a petition in the name of an LU Season 3. We don't know if it's been brought to the attention of KidsWB (probably not), but for now all we can do is wait and see. And write "Calm, heartfelt letters" to KidsWB.
I have to stop using that expression.

I'm interested in what makes you think the popularity of the show decreased significantly in the past few episodes. When you say past few episodes, do you specifically mean the three-part season two finale?

I know what you mean. With three different writers, I don't think anyone knew where the finale was going. I can totally see viewership going down the tubes after The Music Villain.

After all the hype before the Loonatics was even released, WB desides to get lazy after the second season and stop making the show after that. I mean, is that really fair?

Well, it's been said multiplt times that LU was originally only supposed to have 26 episodes. I thought hey might make more if the show got popular enough.
Guess it didn't.

Loonatics Unleashed, Krypto the Superdog, and Xiaolin Showdown, have all been removed from the lineup. These three shows have not been mentioned in any previously released renewal press releases from The CW^[3]^[4]and aren't on the official Fall 2007 page on the official Kids' WB site."

All the above quote says about LU is that it has not been mentioned for a season renewal in any past press releases. I don't think it gives any indication of the possibility of LU continuing in Spring '08.
