Where you ever a Anti-LU. Where you hated the LUs for anomanus resons.
Sad to say I ones was one. What befor you brik me pleas let me explan! You see befor the show had come to the public I was serfing the net and came a cross a hate sit, well ashaly seferal, where they said the LUs where replasing and deleting the Looney Toons.(which I also love) So I whanted them to be cansled. But unlike meny of thoughs haters I desided to see what all the hubub was all about befor I made my final desition. So I whached the first the first (Loonatics on Ice) and lerned they are desendens ot replasments. And I fell in Love with the show.
Okay so I am a BIG LU fan
but i whant to know if I am the only one with this backgrouned.
I never hated LU. I was watching Cartoon Network on TV and then I saw what appeared to be Daffy Duck throwing some egg things around and then a whole group of similar Looney Tune characters. I told Twilightgirl about this and she said what the programme was about. And so I fell in love with it.
But it also made just realise: Danger Duck bought me to LU! So I must have been a Ducky! Oh the shame! Well, come to think of it, I did become a Devam so I guess I still have a place in my heart for him. So it was Danger Duck who bought me here. Wow.
I was never an LU hater, but I guess you could say I was indifferent for a long time. I remember hearing a little of the stink that was raised before LU premiered, but didn't really care enough to investigate. LU dropped off my radar completely until February of this year, when I came across a TechxRev fanfic series written by a notable anthropomorphic author whose work I follow. I was intrigued enough by those two characters and the suggestion of a relationship to start watching LU, and I was almost instantly hooked. ^^

Ah, Tech. Tu chauffes mon cœur comme un jour en été…
I first heard about it from a friend who seemed really intrigued and asked what I thought about it. I told him the concept didn't do much to me at first sight, so I looked into it and a few days later I told him how much I despised the idea. I was upset beyond comprehension by the concept of the show, though back then it was still unclear whether these characters were new or just modernized Looney Toons. When I acknowledged they were descendants, I calmed down, though I was still rather annoyed.
Despite my feelings for LU, I was still willing to give it a chance, because that's just the way I am. I'm really not the type of person who gives a permanent judgment without really looking into something, no matter how much I may dislike it by first impression.
Though I did not sign that famous petition for the show's cancellation, if anyone's wondering.
I wonder what my friend would say if I told him how much I love LU...I sorta think he knows 'cause he used to watch my galleries, but he hasn't been around for a while, so I'm not sure. I'm expecting him to contact me one of these days with an 'i tooold youuuu' message. *lols*
Because I wasn`t a major Looney fan when I first got wind of the whole shebang, I, too, was mostly indifferent, though I was slightly intriugued by the idea. After I saw the first episode, Id ecided this series was one worth watching. (I`m a little fickle about my TV these days.) These were my first impressions:
I thought it was the originals somehow transformed into superheroes, and given crazy colors to indicate their pwoered up status. I was a ltitle surprised that they`d chosen what looked like Taz and Wile E. to be heroes, but I was amused by the use of a Road Runner who I just knew would have super speed.
I thought the premise of the show would be a little more serious than it is, but by the looks of things it`s a good thing I was wrong there.
Just to get the shippy part out of the way, I assumed that Ace and Lexi would be a couple, and openly at that.
All in all, I decided to give it a try, and look where I am now. This show`s been going on for about two years now, hasn`t it? Man, does time ever fly. I need to start working on those fan eps, plus the bazillion other things I`ve set myself up for on the net. (script theatres, fan ficitons, a website, webcomics, etc.)
Sadly, I was the same as Siamese. I was a bit of an Anti-Loonatic untill I got bored of atching this other show and decided to give LU a try. After a few days of watching it, I became hooked.
I was a HUGE Looney Tune fan, having watching the cartoons every night with my dad since I was real young. I just couldn't get enough of the gang and, ironicly, Bugs. He was my total fav. I watched the movies over and over and just couldn't get enough. So sadly, I was a bit against the show. I didn't want it canceled, I just didn't think it was worth my time to watch it. Do I regret that desicion now.
When I first heard of LU, I had no clue that it had anything to do with LT, untill I saw a commercial. At first, I thought that it was one of those stupid, worthless shows and I never bothered to watch it. But, around Christmas of last year, I caught the end bit of "Stop the World I Want To Get Off." I found Duck annoying, Slam a bit scary-looking, Lexi pretty, Ace just like my cartoon hero-Bugs Bunny, Rev cute, and Tech utterly awesome. At that time, LU only came on at 4:30 PM. Due to the conflict between my school, my homework, and the trip from school to home, I couldn't watch it that much. So, I searched the internet for all things LU-related, and, HUZZAH! Here I am!
It was Tech who brought me to love the show.

P.S. It seems I'm not the only one who lerned of the Loonatics throgh the Loony Toons and/or Tiny Toons
Sadly, yeah I was. I regret being that now but I can't change the past. I just hate thinking about all the time with LU that I lost. With how crazed I am with it now, it's hard for me to think of when I wasn't. I actually only started liking the show in October last year, and well, here I am now. An obsessed LU fan girl. I guess having the Looney Tunes taken away some 5 years ago and missing it alot also helped me give the show a try. It used to be on every day at 11am and 4:00pm so I used to watch it alot.
I didn't really learn of the Loonatics from Looney Tunes or Tiny Toons (another show I never took the time to try, until now), I just saw commercials of it on Teletoon (the channel that hosts all of WB's shows).
And I agree with you Siamese. I am soooo glad I took the chance and became an LU fan, and a big one at that.
Not anti, but indifferent. Not surprisingly I first heard about it on an internet forum, complete with a picture of the original artwork, which I loathed at the time and still do. :-/ But nonetheless, I still didn't really have any animosity towards the show, since I was pretty indifferent towards modern cartoons in general.
However, I was always a big fan of the Looney Tunes, particularly the roadrunner cartoons, and one day I idly said to someone, "I wonder what it'd be like of Wile E. and the Roadrunner were buddies.", to which she said something like "Well I don't know but I think the roadrunner and coyote are friends on that Loonatics show."
I first heard about it at school. They said they were going to replace the original Loony Toons with new ones. I wondered why they were going to do something like that. Later on the news they said that they were changing the character designs to make them look less demonic. I learned at that time that they weren't replacing the Loony Toons, they were making a show about their decendents. I was skeptical about it but watched the first episode when it aired. I watched some of the first season episodes but lost interest. It wasn't 'till later that I came across pictures and fanfictions that I really got into LU. I searched the internet and watched all the episodes I missed.
Nope. First, I had no idea it had anything to do with LT. Then I saw Ace, Duck and Slam ads. I thought it looked interesting, so I watched it. It was only after I saw Tech that I realised that they were the LT's descendants.
I actually think its pretty refreshing when an anti-Loonatic becomes a fan. It tells me that haters can like this show if they just give it a chance. :D
Well, um actually I have to come out honest, yes I was an Anti LU, but only because I thought it was goin to be one of those shows that was never meant to be made but I never gave it a chance, and after I saw it I became huge fan of the show, and took back everything bad I said about it.
No, I was neva' an Anti-LU. The first episode I saw was "Weathering Heights" and I told my brother it would be airing on and I stated to love it!

I used to an Anti- LU. When I saw the preview I said to myself "Oh my god, future LTs". After that I didn't watch till I got bored and found myself watching the show a lot of times, hell I even got Season 1 when it came out!
At first when they showed the ad on CN (cartoon network) I thought...hmm...new show...yada yada yada... Then, 2 days later I suddenly see Tech E. Coyote REALLY FAMILIAR... and followed by Rev...Slam...Duck...Ace...and I figured out Lexi last since Lola Bunny doesnt appear much...
And for the very first time, I heard the voices of the coyote and roadrunner. Awed by the cartoon, I continued watching and eventually landed at this forum to meet KJ then Xtream then Akira...and many more!
~nuff said
Sad to say My brother HATED THE SHOW!!! Unlike me, a true Number 1 fan!
I was watching TV bored, since there was nothing to watch. Then I saw a new commercial, I always wanna see new commercials. The commercial I saw was showing Lexi. I got interested, and I was watching it ever since!

*sigh* It shames me to say, yes, I first hated the show. I mocked it and laughed at it and spoke of how much it disgusted me... I was all like, "LOL! MANDY LOOK! Those retards tried to make a futuristicy version of the Looney Tunes! It's so GAY! LOOK! They have super-mad skillz and freaky coloured faces! What the Hell?!?! WHY ARE THEY FIGHTING ROCK MONSTERS???" XD
And then I was humoured by Rev, thus driving me to research the show. And then I fell for Tech and became hooked to the series. Then I abandonned the fandom for about half a year before coming back and becoming one of Duck's major fanwhores. Which brings us to the present day. *nod*

I didn't start out hating it or loving it. One day I just noticed a commerical for it. They showed the part where Duck was saying, "One more minute and I would have been--" And Ace was like, "Roasted Duck?" So, couple days later... one Sunday morning, my dad happened upon the end of The World Is My Circus while flipping through the channels for something to watch while we ate breakfast. I told him to leave it, since I'd seen the commerical and wanted to see what it was all about. Rev caught my attention right away, though I had a little trouble understanding him at first. Needless to say, that's all it took. I became obsessed. A year and a half later... here I am. xP

Actually once after I saw the first episode, I felt real bored then the second episode got me back to loving the show!

Oh goodness, how much time can people spend paying attention to /something they don't like/? I mean... enough to draw a picture. It's ridiculous. If you don't like it, avoid it. End of story. It's not like we go around saying that LU is a replacement and saying how much we hate LT, etc. You know... I used to like the Looney Tunes, but it's actually LU that brought me to see a newfound respect for the originals.
In effect, it's like having great great great grandchildren. One day a lot of us may have great great great grandchildren. That does not make them replacements of us. Merely descendants... carrying on our "legacy" into future generations and beyond. Eventually you just gotta step aside... and that doesn't make you insignificant, just classic. Respectable in the history books. Those LT purists honestly make Looney Tunes look, well, bad...
I don’t recall anyone ever shunning Basil the Great Mouse Detective because it was seen as a story to try and replace the original Sherlock Holmes. So why go off at LU? It’s the same concept; take a classic story/cartoon, reintroduce it to a new generation with a re-vamped format, get them interested in the idea, introduce them to the classic story/cartoon… It’s win/win people! D:
Admitedly, I was a bit peeved that Warner Bros. tried to “alter the original Looney Tunes”… but then I realised that LU actually has no relation to the Looney Tunes story-line. It doesn’t even make a direct reference to them bar twice (“I knew his great great grandfather” and Elmer Fudd in The Hunter)
People need to build a bridge and GET OVER IT. D:
I grew up on the Looney Tunes. I ate drank and breathed them… If I can accept LU, why can’t anyone else? ;__;

Actually... I did kind of dislike the idea at first. Thought it was total rubbish, just some silly idea to rake in money. Then my dad sat me down and made me watch an episode of LU. From then on I watched it with him every morning. It was kind of an obligation. Now I just watch it for my own interest.

I never hated it... I never even heard about it till I saw a commercial once. Ace and Duck... the whole rocket thing. It amused me. Shortly after it was playing one Sunday morning while my family was looking for something to watch over breakfast. I made my dad stop. Watched it. OBSESSED. Went to Hawaii the next month... and found LUO while I was in Maui. =D

Yesh, ma'am. XD Sprawled on a nice little bed with my laptop in a bungalow with a fan blowing at me 'cause it was so darn hot even though it was February. I think I was home alone... enjoying a little peace and quiet. Seriously, I don't know what was so incredibly peaceful about the place. The birds were so nice to listen to (big difference from the magpies and sparrows chittering around here) and walking outside and seeing the palm trees and the ocean and the green grass and... yeah, I was totally listening to the Tarzan soundtrack the whole time. I wanted to move there. XD And then I found LUO. And met you! -tackle-
*falls to the ground in a fit of giggles and hugs* And soon you will meet me in real life!! 8D
…
My Dad watches LU…
“So, who’s the other duck?” “Dad, Rev’s a road runner…” “Why doesn’t the coyote eat him then?” “Because it’s in the future Dad; they’re more civilised now.” “So he’s not a duck?” “No.” “Since when did the road runner talk?” “I said it’s the future. He can talk now.” “… So… why’re there two ducks?” “You’re just trying to annoy me, aren’t you?” “But… there’re two ducks…?” “I hate you… So much.” XD
Tim watches it too…
“You need to draw Duck and Lexi together… Having sex.” “LOLOLOL!” “And Ace is filming all sad… like… ‘*sigh* I’ll never get any’…” “ O_o … LOLOLOL!”
Kelly (my stepmother) doesn’t like it much… She enjoys making fun of it. c(X
“Duck’s a pussy.” “NO HE’S NOT HE’S BYOOTIFUL!” D: “Nah, he’s a pussy.” “HE’S BYOOTIFUL!” DDD:
Everyone else is kinda ‘meh’ towards it… My baby half sister doesn’t mind… Except she asks a question every… five… seconds…
“Why’re they going in there?” “Watch.” “Why’s he doing that?” “Just watch.” “What’s she doing?” “Watch Jenna.” “How does he do that.” “It’s magic.” (my answer to every child’s question) “Why?” DDD8

Yes unfortunately I was... For the same reasons... I read some bad news about the show and well I also found it VERY similar to my own characters and that pissed me even more *_* But I actually gave them a try on youtube and lucky them they convinced me and totally fell in love with the show XD
