Yes that is strange. They go to a Chinese takeaway and yet Duck wasn't kidnapped and cooked onto a Chinese buffet. Maybe because he achieved superhero status and therefore couldn't get eaten because he is an important crime fighting member of the society.

Actually I assumed that was a sarcastic comment on Tech's part, kind of scrutinizing Rev's parents' fear. I assume this because I ALSO assume that, in the context of the show, coyotes eating roadrunners is a thing of past, CENTURIES past. But I guess the roadrunners have never really gotten over it, and Tech kind of calls his parents out on that. Eh.
Edit: Alright, totally missed the part at the end where you said "at least in the past". Sorry. But I'm still gonna throw that commentary out there.
