(Note: The "Hare Monster" is actually "Mr. Hyde Bugs" from Looney Tunes: Acme Aresenal. He's basically bigger, green all over, has messy hair on his head, and talks like Taz.)

Chapter 1: Sympathy

BEEP! BEEP! BEEP! The alarm rang as an emergency was occurring. Zadavia appeared on the hologram.

"Loonatics, we have a situation on our hands," Zadavia said.

"What's up, Zadavia?" Ace walked up to the hologram.

The hologram switched to the local news channel. Police were chasing and firing at a big green monster looking green rabbit that was no bigger than a van. It threw a few lamp posts at the cars and men.

"This monterous hare has been terrorizing centeral Acmetropolis and must be contained. The FBI has called upon you to stop him," She said.

"Aww, but he looks cute if you take a close look at him," Lexi pouted.

"Cute? That thing?" Ace asked, pointing to it.

Danger just chuckled.

"Gee, you must not hang around many guys while you're out," Tech commented.

"Mm, big!" Slam commented.

"Aww, come on! You've handled worse!" Ace said, patting Slam on the back.

"Let's jet!" Ace said.

The hare monster made his way to the city park. This was good for police, now that they could surround him with civilian tanks and men. The Loonatics landed a short distance away from him.

"I think you've gone far enough, big guy!" Ace yelled.

The monster roared and swung a fist at the Loonatics. Lexi didn't feel right attacking the monster. Something about this monster made her want to keep it safe. Eventually, after fighting with the rest of the team, Ace suddenly shot his laser blasts at the monster, knocking into a large tree. He fell to the ground and groaned, feeling dizzy. Lexi gasped slightly.

Small tears formed in the hare monsters eyes, not wanting to fight anymore.

"You're finished!" Tech said as he charged his magnetisim.

"NO! Wait!" Lexi yelled as she ran in front of it, standing in Tech's way.

"Huh?" Everyone else said in unison.

"Don't hurt him!! I won't let you!" Lexi yelled, spreading her arms out.

From behind her, the big, green rabbit looked up at her, raising an eyebrow for a breif second, then his expression changed into a smile of appreciation, his eyes shining brightly.

"Lexi! Get away from it--" Ace was interrupted.

"He's not an IT!" Lexi cried.

Lexi turned to the downed hare monster and smiled at him, kneeling down and scratching his big ears.

"Are you ok...?" Lexi asked, smiling.

He muttered sighs of relief as his ears were scratched by Lexi's gentle hands. He nodded slowly.

"Well... he DOES look pretty harmless..." Danger commented.

"Amazing... A scientific abomination with a normal personality..." Tech muttered.

Rev elbowed Tech, shaking his head.

"Oh yeah, right..." Tech smiled stupidly.

"Can you get up, big guy?" Lexi asked, patting his head.

He slowly got up and shook his head, leaning against the tree for a bit of support.

"See? I told you he was harmless!" Lexi said.
