Chapter 4

“So dis is the silver sea,” Ace said as he, and Duck, looked around the deck of a small bout, “Hello?”

A blue coyote came out from beneath deck, “Yes, hello.”

“Uh, hey. Tommy, right, your now a Loonatic.” Said Duck.

“I'm a what?” Tommy asked wide eyed.

“Ne, its da truth.” Ace said, “Welcome to the team.”

They told Tommy what all was going on as they headed back to HQ and left to fined there 3rd new member.

“I heard dis Kari helps run a inn at the Southern Acmetropolis Coast.” Ace said as the 6 walked down a street in the direction of the small inn.

“I can't wait to meet her,” Lexi said with joy of getting more female members, “and share secrets, have sleepovers and do all the things I can't do with you boys.”

“Ugh! Make it stop! My ears hurt!” Duck yelled as he placed his hands on his head.

Lexi glared at the water foul and fired a weak brain-blast at him.

“Ouch!” Duck cried as he jumped at the sudden butt pain, “Sheesh! Can't you take a joke!”

The others around him held back laughs of amusement. They shortly arrived at the inn and waste no time in questioning the owner.

“Welcome!” A plump, well drest, some what bald man greeted, “Pleas, Mack yourself comfortable!”

“Uh, thanks doc, but uh we are looking for Kari Bunny.” Ace said as he leaned on the counter in front of the Inn-Keeper. 

“Oh, jest a minute.” The Inn-Keeper terned to a open door, “Kari!”

His voice was loud and well heard.

“Coming, why can't you use modern communication instead of your big voice.” A white bunny said as she entered the room wearing a clean red coaled shirt, black pants, and a black tie.

“You have visitors.” The Inn-Keeper said simply.

Kari looked up to see who here visitors where, “Wow! The Loonatics! I've heard about you guys doing cool stunts and battles!”

“Thanks.” Ace replied.

“It's not like you even don't know us.” Duck said some what sarcastically.

“Wait a minute, that voice...It sounds like..” Kari wide eyed and gasp at her realization, “Dane!”

Every one minus Duck and Kari, “Dane? Who's Dane?”

Duck mumble something thin said, “That would be me.”

“I can't believe it's you!” Kari went to the ether side of the counter and approached Duck with a quick hug, “No wounder you look so familiar!”

“Hehe...Yea, small world we live in hehe.” Duck chuckled with a small shrug.

“Which means,” Kari's face suddenly changed to anger as she grabbed Duck by his uniforms coaler, “I can get back at you for all those pranks you did to me!”

“Woah! Hold on there bunny,” Ace said prying her off Duck, “We came here to invite you to join the Loonatics, and we can't do that if you can't get along with Duck."

“Oh. Sorry,” She let go of Duck, “So, am I really in?”

“Yup!” Ace replied, “Now to go to HQ and report to Zadavia.”

“Who?” asked Kari as they walked down the street.

“The boss lady!” Said Duck

“Oh, Okay.”

Chapter 5

 

Back at Loonatics headquarters the three newest members had been given there new loonatic uniform, and where being introduced to there new boss lady. Max was in the sky blue uniform Lexi had given him. Tommy had found a silver colored one wick he much enjoyed. Kari now wore a aqua-green one.

 

“Welcome to the team new loonatics. I hope you enjoy your memberships hear.” Zadavia greeted before terning her attention back to the others, “Now thin, original Loonatics fined your last member. Siamese, shes located in the west side. Address-”

 

“I know where Zadavia.” Tech interrupted.

 

Ace looked at the coyote, “Tech, I'm not to sure about you going with us on dis one.”

 

“ What!” Tech went wide eyed at the thought, “Why not?”

 

“You have a past relationship with her,” Lexi added, “So I agree with Ace on this one.”

 

Ace gave Lexi a grateful nod, as Kari, Max, and Tommy all gave confused glances. Not knowing what they where talking about.

 

“Tech if I had known Duck had had a relation with Kari I wouldn't of let him come.”

 

“Come on guys. You know me. I wont do any thing irrational.” Tech said with a pleading ton in his voice.

 

“Fine, you can come. Lets see...'Dane'” Ace teased the duck, “You can stay hear and show Kari 'n' Tommy around.”

 

“What!” Duck complained, “I'm Not going to sta-”

 

“Duck I'm not giving you an option. Come on gang lets jet!” Ace said.

 

The five loonatics landed in the street next to an old run down house. The neighborhood had a Ghetto look to it. The Loonatics looked around some what surprised that Tech knew some one from this kinda neighborhood.

 

“Okay, Tech o' pal,” Ace smiled, “Lead the way to your lost girlfriend.”

 

“She is not my girlfriend!” Tech said with a small growl.

 

“Yesh, Tech. Ya don't have to be so defensive.” Ace still joked.

 

They started to fallow Tech to one of the old homes. At this point Ace realized the necklaces Lexi was waring.

 

In a hushed ton Ace asked wile nodding hit head to the jewelry, “Hay Lex, where did you get dat?”

 

Lexi looked down at hart gem that rested on her chest, “Oh, Max gave it to me.”

 

“Oh.” Ace replied wile making an upset face. Unseen by his team mates.

They stopped at the steps of an old but not to bad looking house. The roof was missing shingles, the wood railing around the small patio had a few broken timbers, a window was cracked, and what looked like a white hammock with a few tears in it was gently swaying back and forth. Tech walked up to the door and was about to knock when a voice interrupted him.

 

“No one 's inside ya know. Instead there jest hangin' out over hear.” Said a female voice.

 

The Loonatics looked over at the hammock. They realized that someone was lying in the fabric. They couldn't see who was in it, but they did see a light brown tail sway with the rhythm of the hammock.

 

“Siamese?” Tech stepped foreword a little in the direction of the female.

 

The anthro sat up in the hammock with a shocked expression, “Tech?”

 

It was indeed Techs old friend, Siamese. She stood all the way up and looked at the coyote for several seconds. Unsure whether or not what she was seeing was real.

 

“Tech...It is you!” The she cat ran to the coyote, giving him a hug, and almost knocking him over. Tech hugged her back, seeming not to wont to let her go.

 

“Oh Siamese. My sweet. Its been so long.” Tech said loosening his arm around her.

 

“I thought you'd never come back.” Siamese said as Tech gave a nerves looking smile, “What douse mack you return to the Ghettos after all these years?”

 

The other loonatics stood dumbfounded at the site of Tech and Siamese, who still where in each others arms, especially at the thought of Tech referring to someone as 'my sweet'.

 

“You do Siamese.” Tech said, “We found out that you got powers, and wont you to join us.”

 

“Really!” The cat looked surprised, “How did you find out?”

 

“How about we leave that for later?”

 

“Sure thing, and I'll be happy to join you. I'd be like old times like when we used to work down in your basement.”

 

“Ahem!” Ace snapped Tech from his little conversation, “Tech do you mined?”

 

“Oh, right!” Tech let go of Siamese, “Siamese this is Ace are leader, Lexi the second in command, and Rev.”

 

Siamese shook each of there hands as Tech introduced them. As they started to walk off Ace pulled Tech to the back of the group.

 

“Nothing irrational Ay?!” Ace quoted the coyote, “Ya mind telling me what that was all about?”

 

Tech looked at the ground, “ Um...Well...I'll tell you back at HQ.”

 

“You better!”

Chapter 6

"So this is your HQ..." Siamese looked around, impressed at the building's fine architecture. "You've come a long way since the old days, Dog Boy."

The other Loonatics turned quickly to see the coyote's reaction to the "dog" reference, but he only grinned slightly and looked around the HQ. "Yeah, it really is something," he replied.

While his friends looked on in shock at Tech not going completely feral over the incorrect remark, Rev stood in the corner watching Kari. He didn't notice Duck sneaking up on him until too late.

Duck, quickly from the behind, dumped a tub of ice water all over Rev.

“BLAW!! Whaaa-what-what-was-that-for-Duck?!” Rev zipped around, enraged, and glared at Duck. Kari Ran over and shoved the laughing 'Dane' away.

“Thats Exactly what you used to do to me!” Kari pointed an accusing finger at Duck, “And Dane IT'S NOT FUNNY!”

“Oh come on it was to funny, and my names not Dane any more. Okay! It's Danger. Danger Duck thank you.”

“Oh what ever!” Kari gave her attention to Rev, “Rev are you okay?”

Rev blushed slightly, “Y-ya. I'm fine.”

As Rev and Kari started to get into deep conversation, Ace was determined to figure out what Tech was hiding. Ace approached Tech who was still taking to Siamese.


“Um excuse me but I need to borrow Tech for awhile.” Ace said to the two, “And Siamese, Lexi will see to gettin' you a Loonatics uniform.”

“Oh...um. Okay. See ya Dog Boy.” Siamese walked up to Lexi and they left the room.

“Back at cha.” Tech hollered after her.

“All right Tech spill the beens!” Ace whispered.

“Ace, I'd really like to speak some where more privet.” Tech said as he grabbed Ace by the arm and dragged him to the Lab.

“All rightie Tech. No more excuses. No more waiting. Whats up with you and Siamese?”

“Well... Siamese and I grow up in the Ghettos. Surprising, huh? Tech boy genus is Ghetto kid. Any ways. At the age of 15, Siamese and my self became close and soon became more thin jest fiends.”

“Figured dat part out already.” Ace interrupted.

Tech sighed with a hint of happiness and he continued to recall the past, “We where complete deferent. Yet we where so the same...At 16 we...we...” Tech got a little nerves and looked away from Ace, “We became physically intimate!...I was in love...So I...I asked her to...marry me.”

“WHAT!” Ace was in complete shock.

“Shhh! Keep quiet will you! I;m not done!” Tech snapped, “Are parent said no...mine thought I was to smart to be with a run of the mill girl...Her parents thought the same about me...At first we agreed to runaway together, and forget about all these rules and responsibility. But then I got excepted to a one in a life time ejection program...We both knew it was the only way out...So she made me go. Before I left I gave her that green ring she wearers and promised to come back......We ended on pretty good terms actually. But that was almost 8 years ago!....Ace what if she hasn't forgiven me?”

“...I don't know Tech. All i can say is don't let this get between you and your job. You have to work with her.”

“I know Ace.” Tech looked up with a have smile.

There was knock on the door and the guys looked up to see Lexi.

“Ahem,” She cleared her throught, “My I present, drum role pleas, Siamese.”

Siamese walked in some what nerves in a cream uniform.

Chapter 7

“Wow,” Tech said a little speechless, “You look...wow.”

The uniform reveled jest how fight, slim, she was, and complemented her well. Siamese blushed at Techs words. With a smile Ace walked over to Lexi

“Ne, come on Lex. It's are turn in the trainer.”

“Sure thing Ace. See ya guys later.” With that they walked out of the room.

“See ya.” Tech and Siamese said in unison.

The room was plunged into a unsettling silents. Tech leaned over his desk and fiddled, mindlessly, with one of his inventions. He had no idea what to say. Siamese had her hands behind her back and rubbed the back of her leg with her foot. She couldn't look up at Tech. Maybe that was because of HIM. Siamese's biggest secrets for almost 8 years now.

“You know Tech,” Siamese looked around, “I think you jest mite be taking your work home with you.”

Tech let out a small laugh before going back to his grim excretion, “Siamese...I -I'm...I'm sorry.”

“For what?”

“You know what!” Tech terned to look at her. Sadness filling his olive eyes.

Siamese placed her hand on his shoulder, “Tech It's okay. Okay. I understand.”

There was another silents.

“What time is it?” Siamese asked.

“Um” Tech looked at his clock, “Almost 5.”

Siamese bit her lower lip, “I need to go and...meat someone.”

“Oh, Okay.” Tech saddened a little more.

“Would you like to come? You mite find this someone interesting.”

Tech made an ear to ear grin as he said, “Ya! Sure.”

“Although. We should probable go out go uniform.”

“Huh? Okay, If you think it's best. I'll meat you in the main room after changing.”

“All right Tech.” Siamese ran out.

Chapter 8

Tech walked besides Siamese down a rather buzzy road. Tech was out of uniform like Siamese had asked. He wore a simple white tee, green gens, and brown sneakers. Siamese was in her green combo-pants, blue shirt, and vest again. Although tech had been eager to be alown with her so that they could talk and catch up, Tech found himself with little words to say. He didn't know what to say or how to word what was on his mind. One of these thing was about the ring he had given her so long ago which he notesed she was waring now. 

They started to slow down as they came up good sized building.

“We're hear, Tech.” Siamese said softly.

Tech looked at a plack mounted on the wall of the building next to the door with some confusion. It read Phillips School for the Gifted: For the ages 3 to 15. Tech looked back at Siamese. Who was starting to enter the door.

“You coming Tech?” She called back. Tech quickly followed her into the building. The first room wasn't very big. It had a counter which was also a desk, a few chairs and tables, books on the tables and two doors. One door was labeled Princable the other said classes.

A young lady sat at the desk typing at a computer. She was tan with brownish-gold hair and had on a shirt and tie school out fit.  Siamese walked up to the desk and the woman greeted them, “Hello Mis. Kat. Hear to pick up Cody I suspect.”

“You would be correct, Kelly.” Siamese replied. Tech watched as the woman came around. He had a growing interest on who this Cody could be.

“Oh. I'm sorry. Who's your friend her, Siamese?” Kelly asked as she relised Tech was standing there.

“This is My good friend Tech.” Siamese said as she jesterd to Tech. He smiled and shook hands wile saying, “Hello.”

“Well right this way,” Kelly pushed through the door that said class, “Cody is in the activity's room playing a chess match. I have to admit he is indeed one are brightest students hear.”

They walked down some halls that had many doors on both sides of the hall way. There where windows showing into the classes. As he walked, Tech peered into the windows and gazed at young children in what he reconsised as Jr. high to high school courses. The tree stopped infont of a window. Tech looked into the new window. Inside was a full of children, Anthro and humans alike, playing mental/strategy  games. Kelly parted from the two, heading back the way she came. 

Now that they where by themselves again Tech asked, in a puzzled voice, “Siamese, what exactly are we doing hear? And who's Cody?”

“Cody is...” Siamese trailed off, looked at the ground for a few moments; then back up. She placed her finger on the glass. Tech followed where she was pointing to a small Anthro boy siting across from a human child.

He was playing a chess against the other boy; losing by the look of things. The young anthro was a coyote around the age of 6 or 7. His fur was a similar brown to Techs and had cream colored hair coming out from beneath a red bandanna. His long ears where like Tech with a spike in each.

Besides the bandanna, he was dressed in blue, several sizes to big, overalls and a tee with green edging. The overalls where patched up and the chest pocket was falling off. He also had rather big glasses on that where bing held together in the middle by a bundle of tape. Behind the glasses where cat-like blue eyes.

That's when Tech relised it. He could tell the close where from a Ghetto family, and he would recognize thoughs blue eyes any where.

“You have a son?!” tech said in disbelief.

“Siamese looked down, “actually...We have a...” She trailed off the end.

Tech sudenly swiched his gaze to Siamese, “ We have a son!”

She smiled weekly at him and feebly said, “Surprise.”

Cool. I like the detail in this so far. Apart from the spelling, this is really good work.

Chapter 11

The main room was packed full of the Loonatics both new and old. Ace was on the couch, Lexi was relaxing in a been-bag chair, Duck was making small talk with Tommy by the window, Slam was in the kitchen inhaling the frig, and Rev and Kari where playing a round of pool. Zadavia was siting on the couch as well. There for one of her usual visits.

Ace looked up from where he sat. First he took a glans at Tech then Siamese then his eyes locked on to the small coyote that stood between them. “Ne, who's the kid Tech?”

With that every one looked up at the two out of uniform loonatics. Tech swallowed heard at the nerves lump growing in his throught.

“Um...” Tech piked up Cody. Tech couldn't help but think of how small Cody was compared to any other 7year old children. Tech handed him over to his mother and whispered to her, “Maybe you should take Cody to your room. I'll explain to the team.”

Siamese held Cody close wiall saying, “Sure thing Tech.”

Siamese walked away towards her room. Cody keaped his eyes on Tech for as long as he could. Curiosity, wonder, and even longing in his blue eyes. As the two diapered the others looked at Tech for an explanation.

“Um...” again Tech swallowed, “Th-that was Cody and he's...well... Okay I'm not going to lie or beet around the bush. Cody is Siamese's and my...Son.”

Tech somewhat flinched as everyone blurted out, “What?!” 

“Tech why didn't you tell us?” Ace questioned as he walked towards the coyote.

Tech got on the deafens, “Hay, I jest found out today!”

There where blank stares, but Tech could see that some of them mite of been thing bad of Siamese keeping Cody secret.

Tech had to explain, “Ace I told you about Siamese and myself, well... When I left for school, AcmeTech be exact, She was...with chilled. I had no idea of it. She tried to contact me, but there was no luck. AcmeTech keaped me pretty busy. Then the meter hit and I joined the loonatics. Which only made things harder for her.”

"Wow. So, you've had a kid for all these years and you never knew about it?!" Lexi asked, sitting up straight.

"Uh.... ya..... I guess you could say it like that." Tech replied, rubbing the back of his neck in an embarrassed fashion.

"Well, he looks like a nice kid. Do you know anything about him?" Ace asked, staring at the coyote.

"I know he's about 7 years old and goes to 'Phillip's School for the Gifted'. But besides that, not much else." Tech answered sheepishly.

"Well go do some 'Father, Son' bonding and get to know him. I'm sure he'd probably like to get to know his dad." Ace said.

"So, you guys are alright with this?" Tech questioned, surprised that they were taking it so well.

"Ya."

"Absolutely."

"Yup."

"Uh-huh."

"kjgfhkshgkjgh ya."

"Don't worry about it Tech. Just go be with him. We'll take care of any superhero business." Ace confirmed him, putting a hand on his shoulder and grinning at him.

"Thanks guys." Tech smiled a relieved, toothy grin before following through the door that Siamese and Cody had gone.

Ace stood there for a moment before turning to the others, a concerned frown on his face. "What are we going to do?"

Chapter 12

“What do you mean Ace?” Zadavia asked the yellow leader.

“Well,” He began searching his mind for the right words, “Dis may sound bad but dat kid could pose a threat.”

“Threat?” Lexi got up and went over to him, “What are you talking about he's jest a kid.”

“It doesn't seem like a problem.” Tommy said.

“Listen guys,” Ace directed to the new members, “You all haven't been hear dat long, so you have no idea how dangerous dis gig can be. Think about it. What if Cody was to be captured and used against us? How do you think Tech would react?”

“You-do-make-a-point-Ace.” Rev agreed, “Tech-may-act-very-different-with-Cody,-possibly-Siamese-as-well,- if-they-where-held-hostage.”

“Not to mention emotionally.” Lexi added.

Ace looked at her, “I got a bad feelin' dat somethin' bad will happen.”

The loonatics all looked at each other. Now they all sheared there leaders concerns.

Tech, now back in his green uniform, knocked on Siamese's bedroom door and went in. As he entered he saw Siamese siting next to Cody on the neatly made bed. Cody was fittaling with a small robot he brought from school.

“Hay Guys.” Techs voice cracked. He cleared his throught.

“How they take it?” Siamese said raping her arms protectively around Cody who had set down his invention.

Tech rubbed the back of his neck, “Pretty well actually” Tech sat down on the bed next to them. Placing Cody in the middle. The young half bread looked up at Tech with curiosity and awe dancing across his cat blue eyes.

“Are you really my father?” He asked sternly.

Tech smiled at how serious the little one was, “Well. Yes...Yes I am.”

Cody through himself into Tech's lap and hugged him as tightly as his little arms promited him. “This is so cool! You've been my idol for soo long and to learn that my greatest idol is my long lost papa! Maybe now I wont be piked on any more.”

“piked on?” Tech questioned.

“heehee Ya.” Cody said nervesly, but then let sadness sweep his face, “All because I'm a 'fatherless half breed'...But I'm not fatherless any more.”

“Siamese maybe you should go back to your hose and get some of your's and Cody's things. Living hear at Loonatics Headquarters comes with your new job. Cody is more then welcome to stay as well.”

Cody looked at his mother, “You're a loonatics Mama!? And we're going to live hear with Papa!?”

Tech felt a sensation of joy and pride to having Cody refer to him as Papa.

Siamese smiled, “Yes Cody. We are.”

“Yup! So your mother is going to go get your guys thing and bring them hear. For the time she's gone I'll watch you.” Tech told his son.

Siamese grinned at Tech. For so long she had dreamed of Tech meeting there son, but long ago she had let that dream go. Now, now it had finally come true.

“Come on Cody” Tech stood up, “I'll show you my Lab.”

Tech walked to the door.

“Cool!” Cody slid off the bed, landed on the floor, and started to fallow, “oh wait one moment!”

He ran back to get the invention he was working on and gave his mom a quick kiss. After that he ran back to Tech and slipped his hand into his fathers.
