have you had or have mental illnesses? I suffer from moderate paranoia and I've been a proud hypocondriac for years. If you answer this poll, please share your story(s) with us. You could also just share what your illnesses are called?

Well I might aswell tell the story of how i became a hypocondriac.
I was 11 years old when it happened. I picked up an empty whisky bottle from the ground where the drunks usually hang out on my way home from school one day, because I thought it looked cool and I could wash it out and use it.
Thats what I did and when my mom found out she had a total fit and scared the senses out of me by yelling about how the drunks have AIDS and stuff. She did'nt know i flushed it out 3 times with windex and water and shes a germophobe herself. The next hour i spent shaking like mad on the couch scared I was going to die of AIDS.
Now im just terrified of disease and public toilets are for me like a gay bar is for a rabbi. But I view on it very positively, I'll never forget to use protection, thats for sure!
Yes techfan, I have a mental illness. It is some sort of anxiety thing,kind of like the one you described,but I take medicatition for it. I don't know the exact name of my illness though. I also suffer from mild depression. We are not exactly sure how I aquired this little...erm...extra. Me and Rev Girl are the same person. I have my own personal reasons for creating a secound account.
