The Asian Steryotype: Extemely smart, short, has squinty eyes, romantically inept (especially referring to men), docile, obedient, and submissive (especially referring to women), or just a pretty "trophy charm" to their boyfriend.
Myself, being Asian-American am often subjected to the expectations of this steryotype. People expect me to be smart because of my heritage, when I do something right or act intelligent, people believe it is more due to my bloodlines than my actual skill ability. I am also ridiculed for my short stature which people also believe is due to my racial backgrounds.
My question to you is, do you believe in the steryotype? Is that what you really expect when you see an Asian or Asian-American person?
Some racial steriotypes certainly do exist. I have no doubt about that, but you cant judge a book by its cover.
When I see people that fit the profile, thats what I think at first glance, whatever steriotype it may be, but I never accept that as the truth until I find out.
I wish more people at my school thought like you, I personally am sick of being labelled because of my race, even though it's a generally positive label.

Honestly, there under a 1% genetic diffrence between the diffrent human races, and you can obviously see that those couple of variating chronozones only affect physical appearance.
I know, but that doesn't stop the steriotypes. -sigh- Well, I can't really change what people believe, so I guess I'm just stuck with the labels, but ther're are other labels, too, it's not like Asians are the only ones in the world that face steriotype problems.
You know, I'm not really faced with any racial steriotyping, because I'm white, in a white community.
But I am bi, and that means I get faced with sexual steriotyping, you can guess what kinds. Do you know how I fight this? I wear army boots and body-build. If you show non-steriotypical trades, you can help fight the steriotyping.
I don't like doing stuff like that. I'd just rather be me. The steriotypes are extremely annoying, but it's not like they hurt my feelings or anything, and I don't really care about what others think. I like myself for who I am and I don't feel the need to prove anyone wrong.
I am myself, I like wearing army boots and pumping up. I just make sure people know I'm bi so they can connect the the two things and realize there are masculine bi-sexuals too.
I'm a white chick. Although, since I'm Southern, people from other states would hear my accent and think "Hillbilly" or "Redneck" (I am kind of a redneck, though XD). People also tend to think that we're stupid and racist. These stereotypes are false (for most people, anyways :/) but the following ARE true: We are that stubborn, and we will tell you what you don't want to hear. Tea, is in fact, the preferred drink, with milk a close second.
My IQ is 139 (thus I'm no idiot), but I am prone to "butterfinger" syndrome, forgetting things, and putting my foot in my mouth. XD So I'm not the best counter-example. I can spell pretty much any word in the dictionary (science medicine words are cheating, they aren't real words in my opinion), and counter your argument (and my own XP) just as well as somebody from the north (popularly known as "damn yankees" XD).
If this post is weird, I'm tired. I don't have the mental capacity to know what the hell I'm talking about today. :(

Theres just as much diffrence between the asian branches as there are caucasion. Inside each race you have branches, inside the caucasion, or white race, you have slavs, germanians, romanis, magyars, anglo-saxons, etc.
Yeah I'm just another white chick with no accent to speak of, so stereotyping has never been a direct issue with me personally.
There's always one thing that's always bothered me with the Asian stereotype, though. When people say something like "lol all Asians have squinty eyes" or something dumb like that, it's not really true! People seem to conveniently forget in these cases that India, the Middle East, etc are also a part of Asia. But no one would ever called an Indian or Middle Eastern person "Asian", even though they are.
Also, I know this Japanese girl who everyone seems to think is Mexican, and ask her questions in Spanish and ask if she likes enchiladas and stuff. That is false stereotyping at its worst.
Well I'd speak french to a french looking person as well, so you cant blame them that.
Actuelly white people can and have also been subjected to alot of racism, I for one get extremely pissed when some black guy starts writing comments like ''Cuz them cracker hos LOVE our big black ****s''
Theyre as racist as any white racist! Yet so many people seem to be under the illusion that only white people can be racist. The arabs took the africans for slaves longer than we ever did! And I can promise you there are a hell of a lot of asians and arabs that look down on the other races.
But then again I've started to become quite racist myself, as are many Europeans these days. Its just alot of these muslim imigrants in their 20s have a REAL bad attitude...
The things they do sometimes, it just makes you think everytime you see some middle eastern looking young men ''Theres some more of those damn pakis'' when really they could be a splendid bunch of well integrated young guys.
But the human mind gets provoked sometimes. Theres no lying about it.

Another part of the asian steriotype is that asian men have smaller penises. This is actuelly true, I dont mean to offend anyone at all, but it is.
The erect Korean penis length average is only 3.7'' while as the german is 5.7'', the italian is 5.9'', and the french is 6.4''.
Now to make sure I dont get stalked by an angry mob of asians, I'd like to add that Japan actuelly beats America. The erect American penis length average is only 5.0'' while as the japanese is 5.1''
Dont get angry with me, I was only pointing out that one side of the asian steriotype is actuelly true. I was not trying to offend asians in anyway.
Same here- I see a latino/latina and think "Damn Mexican." There's like, 80 types of Spanish, just like there's 80 types of white and so forth. Although, there was this one guy in high school I would have gladly pushed my semi-racism away for. (Sadly, there are some Spanish people I look at and think "meh.", and others I lable as "mexican whether they are or not.)
I wasn't truly racist until they all started shooting people, and I feel myself turning racist towards blacks as well. I don't want to go down that road, most of the people I grew up with were black, but I can't help it. This is in South Carolina alone:
-Every night, we hear of at least one shooting, and guess what color the number one suspect is- black or latino. Occasionally, there's a white guy, but mostly blacks and latinos live down here, so... -Both races listen to the gang rap, so it's hard NOT to lump them together. -Have you actually HEARD any of the gang rap?! The guy on Dr.Phil that time said it perfectly: "Yo yo yo! There's my ho!" Also popular is "I'm'on kill that nigga!" and "I'm'on give my lady the best and treat her like a queen!" but in the same breath "BEAT THAT BITCH MAKE HER SUCK THAT DICK HO NEEDS TO LEARN A LESSON". :/ -The blacks are shooting the blacks, and mexicans are shooting the blacks. White people are going "That's kinda one sided." Then again, some white people get sucked in tthe "Gang Rap Black Hole of Doom" as well. -The fact that my sister's half latina doesn't help ANYONE's case, because A)She's half latina and B)She thinks she's a black chick.

Doma the thing is, you just have to remember, it has nothing to do with their skin color or genetics, because if you skinned them alive and cut off their noses, they'd look just like you underneath.
Its all about social conditions. They grow up poor in some slimy ghetto, get caught up in bad things because its the only way forward from there, and try to follow an example thats already been set.
