Events like this make me question how humans became the dominant species on the planet. If humans continue to do horrible things such as this, it really makes me wonder how they managed to stay up on the top of the foodchain. Hmm.
Also, I agree with Dragon Wing. What exactly is there to discuss about this? Nothing about this event is really debatable...

"Hey, Mr. Bump. Thought I'd drop by for a visit." "Uh, hello, Miss Whoops." "Sorry to hear about your accident." "Oh, well. That'll teach me to wrestle elephants." "Hey, a remote control! Ooh, how about we watch some rollerderby?" "Uh, uh, no, Miss Whoops, that's not for the T.V.! Ow! Bed! Crunching! Oh!" "These remotes are so unreliable..."
Seconded. There's nothing to discuss about it since everyone with a good dose of gray material in their brain will agree that that is a disgusting and sad story. Moreover, the controversy section should house subjects which are likely to meet strong disagreements between members, because that's how a good discussion is built.
But this? At best, this topic will turn into a pity fest with a bunch of comments along the lines of "that's horrible!", which I absolutely agree with, but don't think is necessary to hear over and over again.
Lastly, and this is just my personal opinion and anyone's free to disagree with me or say I'm being too uptight, but I don't appreciate the recent sensitive topics I've seen in here.
It's true that there's a controversy section and as such it should be used, but I'd also like to point out that this is first and foremost a forum for a cartoon show and I'm sure that most of us come here to have fun, relax, and have a good laugh after a (prolly not so great) day at work/school. So the controversial subjects should be about less...sensitive things, IMHO.
If I want to talk about serious things like this one, I will write about it in my own blog, or look for an appropriate forum. I'm sure there are tons out there.
One of my friends at school is actually named Fritz, but we all call him Fritzle. So when I first read about the "Fritzl incest case", it sparked... odd images for me.
I put this in the controversy section because I saw the possibility a debate might start. Just one of those things people talk about, then something starts.
Though here's a question to discuss. Is Josef Frtizl more macabre then Ed Gein?
The case of the father raping his daughter was on the news a few days ago... It's a rather disgusting story, but i think that things like that happen more usually than we think... As for Ed Gain, he freaks me so totally out... But it's REALLY difficult to say who's worse or more disgusting... They're the same in my point of view... Awfully the same *shivers*

Just wanted to address this real quick.
Humans are not the only species in the world that do really macabre things. Take the lion, for example. Most male lions cubs are driven from the pride when they are two to four years old. If they don't leave with fellow brothers/cousins, they usually have to fend for themselves by joining another unrelated pack of lions. In order to try to become one of the dominant males of the pack, the males at least attempt to kill all of the cubs in that pack so that the female lions will fall into heat faster. In fact , statistics show that invading male lions kill as many as one-quarter of all lion cubs.
This would definitely be considered heinous. However, lions remain pretty much on the top of their own food web for their ecosystem.
Goes to show, sick stuff happens everywhere, but it doesn't really have any consequence for placement on the food web.
I think that guy should have his c**k chopped off so he won't be able to use it anymore! He is truly an evil monster despite him having been beaten by his mother.

Oh goodness, I'd never heard of Ed Gein before but that is absolutely revolting. I'm generally known for having a strong stomach, but that's just about enough to make me sick. >>;
Nope, he was initially deemed unfit to stand trial because he was diagnosed as mentally incompetent. When he finally did stand trial in 1968, he was found not-guilty for reasons of insanity. He lived the rest of his life in a mental hospital until he died in 1984.
Even the nurses and doctors thought he was a ''nice little man''. I don't just find it facsinating why he did it, but just that he did it. I mean, socks made out of human flesh? Preserving vulvas in a shoe box? Oh what I'd give to meet him.
