So I found out that I have low blood pressure (which is better than high pressure I guess), but my doctor kept going on with stories about people passing out in the shower and passing out after standing up too fast.
I have low blood pressure too. I doubt it's as bad as your doctor is making it sound, too. To quote WebMD, Chronic low blood pressure is almost never serious. In fact, it means you can (and should) eat lots of salty stuff, which is a definite plus. Well, for me anyway.
Just don't like go outside on a hot day, fall asleep and then jump up suddenly.
I don't have low blood pressure but I have cardiac arrhythmia (irregular heartbeat). I was told 'ommgggg be carefulll' on several occasions but I feel perfectly fine.
Don't worry too much about it, like DW said, I'm sure it's not as bad as your doc makes it out to be and you can avoid problems by following little rules such as the ones she stated.
Sometimes people try to scare you just to make sure you take care of yourself.
Wow, thanks guys. Really, I was completely freaking out for the past week. I didn't want to get into a shower for a while (I did, though). Most of my worry was coming from the fact that my grandmother died from slipping in the shower.
So thanks for the reassurance. You guys are awesome!
