Okay, you guys are wondering why I haven't put up one of the stories from the story vote. Well my reasons are that I remember it was a tie between two stories. Plus two days ago, a character appeared in my head and I thought I should put them in a story. So without further ado, enjoy .
Chapter 1
Uhn... What? I... I see shapes. Colours. I'm... starting to remember again.
"Ace! I don't want to alarm you, but this giant lizard is a... machine! And it seems to have a bomb on it's back!"
Danger Duck's eyes flipped open as the top half of his body drove forward so he was sat in a sitting position and gave a scream. In his state of panic, he gasped for air. He didn't even notice that he was only half naked because of his sudden shock. Once his breathing dimished to a quiet volume, his head spun around to find himself inside what looked like a sleeping capsule inside a silver room which looked like a laboratory. He spun his head around again to suddenly find a young looking, brown, female coyote in a white lab jacket. The two figures stared at each other's faces for just a moment until Duck's beak opened to break the silence.
"Tech?" He asked. "Have you had a sex change?"
"Excuse me?" The coyote said in a suprised tone. "You wake up for the first time in seventy-five years, and the first thing that comes out of your mouth is a name that I don't know and whether I've changed my gender."
Duck paused for a moment.
"So you're not Tech then?" He concluded.
"No." The girl shook her head.
The mallard's face suddenly spelt fear.
"Wait a minute! Seventy-five years!? What year is this!?"
"The year is 2849." The coyote answered calmly. "Your current age now is 96 years old."
"What!?" Duck shrieked in alarm. "How the hell did I manage to grow that old!? The last time I checked my age, I was 21, and the year was 2774!"
"Let me explain." The female canine started as she pushed her dark green glasses closer to her amber eyes. "According to my records, you were involved in an accident that left you heavily scarred."
"Oh I remember now." The mallard started to recall. "It was just like any other morning when the whole team was having breakfast until Zadavia called to say that a giant Godzilla monster escaped from the zoo. Naturally, we went to the scene to try and tame the monster, only to find it was really a robot and... that's all I remember."
"Of course the others had some very bad injuries too." The coyote continued. "Broken limbs, serious bleeding and possibly swallowed some dust that choked them."
Her facial expression changed to sadness.
"But you ended up with the worst injuries and serious scars that could not be healed in a matter of weeks. So in order for you to healed without you suffering too much pain, the team made the decision to put you in a crynogenic state until you were fully healed."
"But surely it didn't take this long for me to get better?" Duck said. "Not seventy-five years?"
The girl pushed her spectacles up her muzzle again.
"It turned out that you were still in the coma, even when you were fully healed. And that only took five years to do so." She resumed. "Your team found that they couldn't function without you. So they disbanded themselves and got on with their own lives."
"They quit being superheroes?" Duck's voice started to croak.
He didn't even realise that his absence had a big effect on the team. He turned his head to the coyote again.
"Wait! Are the others here!?" He frantically asked. "Ace, Lexi, Tech, Rev, Slam? Did they decide to sleep for the same time as me?"
The canine hesitated with that question. The mallard's face drooped down.
"They're not here are they?" He mumbled.
"I'm sorry." She apologised. "Everyone has to die in the end."
"Wait! What about Tech!?" Duck inquired. "He has regeneration powers! Surely he must have lived as well!?"
Again, the canine girl shook her head.
"He... he felt that you wouldn't be able to do the things that you wanted to do in the state that you were in, and he thought it would be unfair to live normally while you slept instead of following your own dreams. So he devoted the rest of his life to taking care of you. Becuase the truth is... you were the symbol of hope and prosperity for the team. He wanted preserve that symbol of hope so one day, it could finally blossom to the world."
"Oh very poetic." Duck grumbled. "So I'm a symbol of hope. Not that they treated me like it."
His face then softened.
"Actually, I suppose they were alright. It wasn't like it was all their fault either. I was equally as bad. Maybe... maybe I shouldn't even deserve to live anymore."
The next thing the coyote girl saw was a small tear trickle down his face. Sympathy started to appear from inside her body. A warm yet sad feeling for the one who seemed to be the last of his kind.
"If you want, you can tell me to stop giving you the information about what has happened." She assured him.
Duck wiped the tears from his eyes and sighed.
"I guess there's only one more thing I've gotta ask you," He said. "Who are you?"
"I thought you were going to say that." The canine nodded. "What I'm going to say though will be a more bigger shock than what you've heard so far."
"Try me." Duck muttered. "I've just heard everything that has already made me have an overload of emotions."
"Very well." The coyote said. "My name is Jess E. Coyote and I'm a descendant of Tech E. Coyote, my great, great grand father."
0.0................. *faints from overload of awesomeness*

"My name is Jess E. Coyote and I'm a descendant of Tech E. Coyote, my great, great grand father."
Duck's eyes widened.
"Your great, great grandfather?" He stammered.
The coyote nodded her head.
"My father and his father always told me amazing stories about him and how the team battled against all the odds." She said. "And to actually see someone from those legends for real is so exciting for me."
Duck just stared at her. He never realised that someone would be in awe of him, especially someone who is a descendant of a genius who had a very important role in the group. Duck never had that sort of admiration before. But still, he decided to use this as an opportunity to discuss anything that wasn't discussed yet.
"Um... I have a question." He finally spoke. "I've been asleep for a long time and therefore I haven't used my powers over those years. Do you think they've desintigrated by now so I'd have no more powers?"
"Who knows?" Jess replied. "But first, I suggest you get some rest and not move for a while. If you do try, your legs won't carry you very far as your lack of nutrition from food will not be enough for you to walk. But don't worry, your legs will be able to move in a few days or so."
But before Duck could stop her, the coyote exited out of the room leaving the mallard to exhale a sigh and lie back down into the capsule.
"Great." He thought to himself. "I sleep for seventy-five years and now I have to rest for a little bit longer."
Duck laid there for a moment until he impatiently sat up again and moaned. He then thought about his powers and whether he was able to use them as though he was still in the year 2774. He slowly held out both of his hands and concentrated on them. Nothing happened. He tightly closed his eyes and focussed hard.
"Come on! Work!" He seethed through his teeth.
As if on cue, the orange orbs grew in his hands and ignited themselves like a flame. The mallard gave a satisfying smile upon the blazing balls in his palms.
In another silver laboratory, Jess sat on a grey, swivel chair, with her back arched and her head resting on her folded arms on the metallic, silver table. Clearly, she was bored, and was waiting for something to happen. Her right arm slowly extended towards a green pen pot that was sat on the table and removed a red pen from it. She pulled it closer to her face and started to fidget with it in her fingers.
But as she did so, she began to wonder about the hero in the other room. She thought about what triumphant things he must have done with the team before he was put into the crynogenic capsule. She tried to guess what powers the mallard could possess, and the relationship between him and her great, great grandfather. Jess exhaled deeply until suddenly, she was thrown out of her chair by a force of an explosion.
As she tumbled onto the floor, particles of dust and small chips of stone and glass flew across her as well as hitting her in some places. When the impact of the explosion subsided, Jess coughed from the dust and looked up to an approaching figure. As the smoke cleared, the silhohette of a young man with red bushy hair, in a futuristic, burgandy uniform holding a sky blue sword in his right hand. Jess was about to move from her position until she saw the man pointing his blade at her. She froze as he gave her an imtimidating glare.
"Now I want you to tell me the truth;" He ordered. "Where is he?"
The coyote blinked in confusion.
"Who are you talking about?" She stuttered.
"He's here isn't he!?" The man shot her.
Jess gave a yelp.
"I don't know who you're talking about!" She whined.
"Don't lie to me!" He roared as he lifted his sword and was about to lunge it at her.
The coyote raised her arms to her head waiting for the final blow.
"Hey! You're picking on a girl! I thought you said you were looking for a male person!"
The man turned around to see Duck standing before him. Jess couldn't believe herself that the mallard was able to stand so nobley in such a short space of time. But then she saw an evil grin expand the human's mouth.
"Ah. I've finally found you after all this time." The man said calmly. "My ancestors have been looking long and hard for you after the Loonatics finally passed away to old age."
"What?" Duck screwed his face up. "What do you mean by that?"
"Well let me introduce myself." The swordsman proudly gestured to himself. "I am Orran, descendant from General Deuce from Freling."
Jess gasped.
"You don't mean... you're-"
"Yes." Orran interrupted her realisation. "Your great, great grandfather and the other critters of the petting zoo tried to take away my ancestor's chance of ruling the universe."
The man then drew his sword and pointed it at Duck.
"But now that I am faced with one of the original Looney-tics, I can avenge my family's revenge and claim my place as ruler of the universe!" He rose his voice.
"Well it's a shame it's not Deuce I'm up against." Duck said casually. "But I suppose a lackey like you would do for now."
"You'll pay for what you done to my great, great grandfather!" Orran shouted as he charged with his sword in his hand towards the mallard.
Before the swordsman could drive his blade into him, Duck disappeared into thin air. Orran stopped and gave a roar in frustration.
Jess however, crawlled under the nearest table and tried to comprehend the situation in hand in her mind. A descendant of her ancestor's enemy is trying to slay someone who has finally woken up after seventy-five years of recovery. And now her laboratory is currently used as a battle field for them. She covered her ears as loud bangs and crashes were heard. Was the battles that Duck had to battle always this chaotic she thought. Did it have to end up with rubble all over the place from the destruction? And how many injuries must he have gone through his time? Jess had enough. She pulled herself up from under the table and faced the two combatants in close combat. Clearly, there was no winner due to the fact they still fought. The coyote stretched her arms up and spread her hands out flat.
"Stop it!" She cried with her eyes shut tight. "Stop fighting now!"
Without her thinking, her hands started to glow green. The bright light caught Duck and Orran's attention. Jess opened her eyes to notice what the other two guys were staring at. The metallic table and chairs floated in front of her, with the same green aura around the objects. The coyote did not know what sort of force she was weilding, but then she realised she could help Duck fend off his opponent. She focussed her eyes onto the objects as she gestured a throwing motion towards Orran. In a split second, the objects flew towards the man, forcing him to deflect them by swinging his sword at them. Jess continued to use her new found powers to fling objects at him until Orran had enough and ran towards the broken wall where he first entered from.
"You two may have won for now," He growled at them. "But next time, you won't be so fortunate."
And with that, he jumped into the gap of the wall and disappeared from view. Duck puffed for air until he glanced at a frightened looking coyote, glaring without blinking at her hands.
Sweet! Jess has Tech's powers!!!!!! I'm so excited!!!!!!

Duck's intuition told him to approach the coyote carefully without making any sudden movements. When he finally got to her side, he could see that Jess hadn't taken her glaring eyes off her hands. The mallard hesitated for a moment before he finally arranged the words in his head to say to her without alarming her in anyway. He could tell from her face she could be sensitive to anything he was going to say.
"I... I didn't know you could use superpowers." Duck finally said.
Jess still stared at her hands in horror.
"I didn't either." She stammered. "But how? It's impossible for me to have these kind of powers."
It was only until Duck remembered what she said that he realised where she could have got them from.
"Maybe you've managed to inherit them from Tech into your DNA or something like that." Duck deducted to her. "You could be a superhero like me! Protecting the city, fighting bad guys and stopping natural disasters!"
"I can't!" Jess suddenly shot out. "I'm not a superhero! I'm nothing like one!"
"Oh course you can be one Jess!" The mallard tried to persuade her. "If it weren't for you and your metal powers, I wouldn't know how much I can keep fighting that Orran guy for."
"You're a superhero because you're good at it and you manage to save people's lives." The coyote mumbled.
"Yeah. But you saved my life just a moment ago." Duck said.
Just then, Jess noticed some blood trickling down the mallard's arm.
"Duck! Your arm!" She pointed out.
Duck stared down at his right arm and noticed a deep cut on it.
"Great." He huffed.
"Please. Let me look at it." The coyote asked.
"No. It's okay." He assured her. "It's just a scratch. I'll put a bandage on it or something."
"No. You're seriously hurt. That guy could have damaged you badly." Jess frowned stubbornly as she grabbed his arm.
"Ah!" He yelped. "Careful with my arm!"
Suddenly, Jess's hands glowed the same green aura as before. Both of them watched in fascination as the cut on Duck's arm glowed green as well. But as it did so, it started to disappear. A few seconds later and the cut was nowhere to be seen, and Duck was able to move his arm like normal as though it wasn't injured in the first place. Jess withdrew her hands into her chest.
"That's strange." Duck said. "Tech never had the power to heal others. He was only to regenerate himself."
"Maybe... as time went on, the powers evolved so I could heal others as well as myself." She understood. "But I'm still not a superhero. Not me."
"Why?" Duck began to feel frustrated. "Why don't you think you're a hero?"
"Look!" Jess snapped. "I'm not a hero. I was never a hero and I never will be. I've been like that since school. I always remained invisable so I shall stay that way."
"But have you ever wanted to shine in front of people? Show them what you're good at?" The mallard inquired.
"They'd only laugh at me." The coyote replied. "They'd say I'm being silly and that I'm such a geek."
Duck paused for a second until a thought crept into his head. This made him conduct at least one more bit of effort to convince her that she was wrong.
"You know? Your great, great grandfather started out just like you." He stated. "The nerd who always got picked on because he was smarter than everyone else. He was feeling the same way as you are now. But that was because no-one gave him a chance to show off his talents."
"So?" Jess took an interest to what he was telling her.
"So when Tech managed to recieve his powers, he decided to use them for the good of mankind." Duck continued. "He could have used them to get revenge on those who wronged him or to steal stuff he wanted. But he didn't. It's the same with me. I could have commited a lot of crimes because of the way I was treated in the past. But I wanted to be a hero. I wanted to help people and protect my home from danger."
Jess stared at him.
"What were you before you became a superhero?" She asked.
Duck turned away from her.
"You'll laugh at me." He mumbled.
"Oh go on." Jess begged him. "It can't be that bad."
Duck reluctantly pouted.
"A pool boy." He grumbled.
The coyote couldn't help but laugh. Duck frowned at her.
"It's not funny!" He shouted at her.
Jess finally managed to control her laughter into quiet giggles.
"Alright." She nodded as she tucked her long brown hair behind her ears. "I'll fight crime with you. I'ts time I've stopped hiding."
"Really?" Duck said with excitement on his face.
Jess nodded her head again.
"It's time I become a legend just like you." She smiled.
"Okay." Duck agreed. "Lets Jet!"
Both the mallard's and coyote's arms raised and gave each other a high five. This was a start of a new legend that they were going to create.

Orran sat against a wall on a roof on top of a silver university, cursing under his breath.
"How can that stupid duck be still alive?" He thought to himself "He should have been dead a long time ago! And now he has that mutt on his side, my work's gonna be cut out for me"
He gave a huff in frustration and gave a quick glance at the glass window that he sat next to. Suddenly, something caught his eye as he looked back down onto the window. There stood a bulky Tasmanian devil in a sandy brown suit, giving a lecture to what looked like an audience of students. Orran carefully observed the creature addressing the lecture while the students eagerly took notes on what he was saying. An evil grin then crept onto the boy's face as he gave a chuckle.
"Well, well." Orran uttered. "Something tells me I could do this job properly afterall..."
Meanwhile, Duck and Jess were clearing up the remaining rubble that was spread onto the floor since the boy's attack. Jess held onto a few pieces of brick as she turned her head to the mallard.
"So now that we're working together, what do you suggest we do first after we clear up the rubble?" She asked.
Duck was about to say something, but then he stopped and thought about his answer. He now realised that now Ace and the others were gone, he has no-one else to give orders to him. And yet now the roles have changed when finally, someone was asking him what they should do. Duck now felt that responsibility was on his shoulders. He slowly turned to Jess who was waiting for an answer. He then looked on himself to find that he was still half naked from coming out of the crynogenic capsule.
"As if I was fighting half naked." He realised to himself. "But then again I did fight crime while crossdressing. I suppose it isn't that different."
"What was that?" Jess inquired.
"She heard something." Duck thought as he finally looked up to her. "Is it alright if I can get some clothes on first please? I'm feeling pretty stupid now that I've realised that I'm still a little bare on the feathers."
"Oh!" Jess suddenly perked up. "I almost forgot. Wait there for a moment."
The mallard's eyes followed the coyote as she approached a grey metal cupboard that was still standing upright. She pulled on the handles and opened the doors as she searched through it. She then pulled out a silvery blue metal box with a number lock from the cupboard and bought it out towards Duck. She knelt down onto the floor. Duck did the same just to see what was inside the box.
"So what's in there then?" The malard asked curiously.
"When the Loonatics disbanded, they decided to preserve their memories inside here." Jess explained as she twisted the rings inside of the lock. "The problem is that my great, great grandfather is the only one who knows the code to unlock this chest. But he is dead, so no-one was able to get into it. If only I knew what it was."
Duck then suddenly remembered something that made him grab the chest and fiddle with the number lock.
"If I remember rightly, it should be his school locker combination." He said as he twisted the last of the numbers on the lock.
He pulled it and it clicked open. Jess gasped and Duck opened the lid on the chest. The mallard's eyes widened as he took out what looked like the black uniform with different colours on. They were still in good condition considering they had been through a lot of missions where they could have been damaged straight away. And for seventy-five years too. They were probably a family heirloom passed down from many generations. Duck rumaged through the box until he finally picked out an orange and black uniform that was rightly his. He wasted no time to try it on himself.
"So is that colour yours then?" Jess finally spoke.
"It was the colours of Danger Duck." He replied as he done up the zip on his back.
He moved about to see whether it was a easy to move in as it did once. It still fitted him. He turned around to face Jess as he put his fists to his waist and stood heroically.
"Wow." The coyote said. "You look so heroic. Just like the legend said."
"Now it's your turn." The mallard told her. "Pick a colour and see what you look like in it."
"But I don't know which one to wear." She murmured. "They all look so unique."
Jess then turned her head to Duck and stared at him sincerely.
"Duck. Which uniform did my great, great grandfather wear?" She asked.
Duck gazed at her nostalgically.
"Green." He responded.
Jess took the green and black uniform from the box and got up from her knees.
"Then I shall get changed into this." She decided as she went out of the room.
Just as she exited the room, Duck gave a nostalgic smile. Jess's intelligence reminded him of the way Tech would always be inventing a new clever gadget and then ramble on about it in his own language that nobody could understand. Everyone but Rev.
Rev was a little hard to understand as well because he spoke too fast. But he was always smiling. There was never a moment when anybody could see one drop of a tear run down his beak.
And there was Slam. For some reason, Duck had always been the one to tell the Tasmanian devil what to do in a trivial wise like a father would do his child. He had a big heart considering his immense brute strength may overshadow that fact. Yes he was kind, especially towards Lexi.
Lexi may have been strong on the outside, but inside she was this delicate little flower that could have easily had her heart smashed into a thousand pieces if it was touched. But she was liked by a lot of the guys. Duck was no different. He too did have some feelings for the rabbit.
And then came Ace, the leader. He maybe naive (and lets face it he was pretty disappointed when his trust in Deuce got let down), but he was able to cope in any situation calmly and always composed. So much so that he could come up with a witty comment to fly at a villain like a bouncey ball. He could always come out with a good come back.
Suddenly, the huge TV screen flickered the black and white colours. This snapped Duck out of his memories that made him turn his head to it. Finally, an image of an old woman became clear on the monitor. The woman's hair was a very pale yellow like her skin and purple robes wrapped around her. She stared down at the mallard who was deeply in shock.
"Danger Duck?" The woman croaked in her elderly voice. "You are still alive?"
Duck tried to realise who this woman was. Somehow he was familiar with her but he tried to work it out from her appearance. Suddenly he gave a gasp of suprise as he looked back up to the screen again.
Sorry this took such a long time but at least it's here! Chapter 5!
Chapter 5
"Zadavia!?" Duck gasped while staring wide eyed at the TV. "B-But how!?"
"I may have lived longer because my species live slightly longer than normal human beings," Zadavia started. "But to find you still here, I'm just as suprised to see you here as you are shocked to see me."
The conversation was interrupted by the door hissing open. Both of the figures stopped speaking as Jess walked through the door now wearing the green and black uniform she intended to wear.
"This feels comfortable to wear." Jess said as she looked around her body. "It was hard to get into at first but I managed to work it out as I went along."
The coyote lifted her head up to find Duck and Zadavia staring at her. Jess blinked and glared at her in alarm. She stood there frozen on the spot until the coyote finally opened her mouth to speak.
"Umm... am I missing something?" Jess asked.
"I am so sorry." Zadavia apologised. "I am Zadavia, ruler of the planet Freling."
"She was our boss lady until the accident." Duck added.
"And I seem to see that I am since you're rebuilding where the original Loonatics left off." The woman deducted the scene from the television screen.
"Well, when you put it that way," Duck said. "I guess it does look like it."
"Before I explain why I am here, I must ask the young lady for her name." Zadavia commanded.
"Oh! My name is Jess E. Coyote." She quickly introduced herself.
Zadavia inspected her closely.
"You must be a descendant of Tech E. Coyote." She analysed. "You seem to have the intelligence and the features of your ancestor."
Jess tilted her head down slightly to soak in the flattery she recieved.
"Now that we all know each other," The woman announced. "I shall explain the purpose of my prescence here."
Duck and Jess listened attentively as Zadavia started her explaination.
"In the year 2772, a meteor crashed down onto Acmetropolis and sent out a supernatural radiation where many people were affected. Many people have recieved some new and strange powers which they never had before. Most people used those powers to benefit themselves by commiting crimes to get what they want. However, six of the people affected by the radiation were gathered into a tower by myself and were a crime fighting team called the Loonatics."
"Ah... the good old days." Duck boasted to himself. "The days where the good always triumphed over evil."
"The Loonatics (including Duck) fought against many powerful criminals. One of which was General Deuce." Zadavia continued as she showed an image of a man with a red, shaggy, afro for hair wearing a purple uniform.
"Oh yes. I remember him. He never learnt his lesson until that wormhole got him." Duck said.
"He almost looks like the guy we fought against earlier." Jess pointed out. "He had red hair just like him."
"That is the reason why I was searching for you." Zadavia told them. "A descendant of his is trying to complete the mission that Deuce had started. Orran is the boy's name."
"That's him!" Jess remembered.
"So I'm guessing he's trying to uphold the family name by taking over the universe?" Duck lifted an eyebrow.
"Exactly." The woman concluded.
"And I know what you're going to say;" Duck paused her. "We have to stop him from commiting the heinous crime before it's too late."
"Your sense of humour has never changed." Zadavia said. "Even if you have slept for seventy five years."
"Wait." Jess cut in. "I have a question; are there others like us? Others with super powers?"
"Well if you managed to inherit powers from your ancestor, I'm very sure there can be more like you."
The screen then switched to what looked like a very large silver building that looked like a university.
"I've been tracking Orran for sometime," Zadavia spoke. "And the location he's at is the Acme Acre University."
"But why would he go there?" The coyote asked in a puzzled tone.
"I'm thinking he just wants to know what two plus two is." Duck joked.
"This is no time for jokes Duck." The woman glared at him. "You and Jess must go and investigate what his plans of being there are before he does some serious damage. I have managed to enrol into the campus so no suspicions can be made. But you must act quickly. Zadavia out."
And with that, the television screen blanked out again. Duck then turned to Jess.
"Well you heard the lady," The mallard ordered. "We should get there at once."
Duck then displayed a heroic pose.
"Get ready! Get set! Lets Jet!" He declared to her.
"Why did you just do that?" Jess asked.
"Because I've always wanted to say that!" He replied
The silver university stood grandly at the foreground of the cityscape as many teenagers entered inside, chatting and discussing conversations. Still half way walking down the concrete path was Duck and Jess, both without their uniforms on but obviously in different garments so they could blend in.
"Why do we have to go to university again?" Duck complained as he pulled down his green woolly hat down his head and tugged on the black straps of his rucksack.
"Because we have to go under cover without creating any suspicion amongst the other students." Jess replied while gazing at the mallard in a red T-Shirt with a khaki jacket over it. "We don't to give away our positions to Orran. Nor do we want anyone to get hurt of placed in shock."
"Well I'll tell you something," Duck commented as he pulled up his baggy, blue, denim trousers up. "The things these kids wear now are such a pain to keep on."
He then looked around and noticed hardly anyone staring at them. By now he thought they would have stuck out like sore thumbs. But instead, all the scattered adolescents didn't even take one glance at them both. He even noticed that there were more anthros there apart from themselves, socialising with the human teenagers. Duck turned to Jess.
"The people here don't seem to mind us just waltzing along here." He said to her.
"Since the you and the rest of the Loonatics protected the city from danger, anthros are being accepted more and are discriminated less." The coyote explained as she held onto her black, white and pink flowery bag. "Which means we won't be targeted for bullying as such because people have now gotten used to us."
Duck looked down onto the ground drifted off into his thoughts. Back in the past, even before the meteor struck Acmetropolis, anthros were regarded as second class citizens. But as he continued to look around the courtyard, he realised that they were now considered equal to humans. And it was all thanks to him and the rest of the team.
"If only they were here to see this." Duck thought sadly.
Suddenly, the school bell snapped him out of his thoughts as he turned to the coyote wearing a pink shirt with skinny, blue, denim jeans who began pulling his jacket.
"Come on Duck! We're gonna be late!" She demanded as they sprinted towards the entrance of the university.
Once they were inside, they wandered aimlessly around in the metallic corridors. As the strolled along, Jess refered to a piece of paper.
"According to this time-table," She read from it. "We should have History with Proffessor Launceston."
"Ugh! I hate history!" Duck moaned. "Why did Zadavia sign us up for that course!? Why couldn't we do something less boring!?"
"And we should be in room C326." Jess continued until she stopped at a room.
Duck halted his steps and looked up at the numbers on the double doors.
"Well there it is, room C326; Lecturing Hall." The mallard said.
They both pulled on the handles of the doors and strolled inside. They were amazed at the size of the sandy brown walls of the lecture hall. It looked similar to a theatre, only there was not stage. Already, there were students sat down on the many rows of seats, chatting to each other. Duck and Jess shuffled towards two spare seats on the fifth row. They qucikly situated themselves on the chairs and casually took out their pencil cases and notebooks.
"I wonder when the lecturer is going to be here." The coyote wondered as she played with her brown locks from her pony-tail.
"Hopefully, the lecture would be cancelled." Duck mumbled to himself before they both heard the doors open again.
Everyone silenced their conversations as a Tasmanian devil in a sandy, brown suit entered into the hall while carrying a black suit case. The mallard's face lifted in suprise. Jess noticed his expression changed as she stared at him.
"Duck? Are you alright?" The coyote asked.
"Yeah." He replied. "It's just I never expected Slam's descendant to look so... smart. I don't think he'd even be in a place like this!"
Their dialogue was interupted by the lecturer who began his speech.
"Good morning class." He introduced himself formally.
"He even speaks perfect English!" Duck whispered to Jess.
"Doesn't everyone?" She said.
"Lets continue from where we left off from. The history of Acmetropolis." Proffessor Launceston continued.
"Great." The duck groaned. "Here comes the boring bit."
Suddenly from out of the blue came an explosion from the back of the room. Everyone else ducked from the impact of the blast as debrie of concrete, bricks and wood flew out towards the front. Everyone coughed as the smoke cleared to reveal a young man holding a blue sword. Duck and Jess peered up from their seats and realised who it was. Orran. The Tasmanian devil got up from the spot where he fell from the impact and stood boldly.
"What in the world is the meaning of this!?" He shouted in a gruff voice at the man in the burgandy uniform marching towards him.
"I'm sorry to interrupt your lesson teacher, but I have a task to complete." Orran said with an evil smile on his face.
"And what task would that be!?" Launceston inquired.
"To get rid of those who stand in my way of conquering the universe!" The red haired man declared.
No-one dared to laugh at his aspiration for he already showed who was boss from that massive explosion. But that only atagonised the Tasmanian devil even more.
"Leave this place now!" He ordered. "This is a place of learning! We do not need your destruction here!"
"Touche." Orran mocked. "But you see? You're one of those who are standing in my way of progression."
Orran prepared his sword and pointed it towards the lecturer.
"And if you stand in my way, I will have to kill you!" He threatened.
All of a sudden, Orran felt a heavy weight on his back. He looked up to see the mallard's face glaring at him. This gave the Tasmanian devil enough time to defend himself by hiding behind the desk. Orran struggled as the mallard tried to grapple him.
"No one is going to die here Fluffy!" Duck said.
Orran grabbed his arms and threw him off his back. Duck flew across the air until he landed on his feet and summoned two flaming orbs.
"Why don't you learn your lesson?" He said as he threw the balls toward the swordsman.
While Orran deflected the orbs, Jess ran towards the doors and opened them using her magnetic powers.
"Everyone get out through here!" She instructed the students.
No hesitation rested in the teenagers as the desperately scrambled towards the exit while Orran was distracted by Duck. Once every pupil was out of the room, the coyote shut and locked the doors using her powers so Orran could not escape. But just as she secured the locks, she felt a hand grab her arm and restrained it behind her while the blade of a sword was drawn dangerously close to her neck. Jess looked up to see Orran bearing his gritted teeth down on her. Duck stood near the front row of seats a few metres away from where Orran stood while Launceston crawled out from his hiding place. The man pulled Jess closer to him.
"One more step near us, and the coyote dies!" He black-mailed them. "So either you give yourselves up to me, or your doggy friend here will have her throat cut apart!"

Hey Akira, did you update this story on deviantart by any chance? Cause thats where I read the first four chapters and then I found it here. In other words though, it's an exellant start to the whole concept of after the Loonatics and story itself. Now with Tech's and Slam's desendants found, It's only a matter of time before the others show themselves as well. You also have me wondering how Jess will react to that doggy comment. If she's anything like her ancestor, she'll be barking mad (pardon the pun).
And I just wanna know something, if I may; how in the world did Deuce get back to Freleng? I thought he had been sucked through a wormhole. How could he get back to Freleng un-noticed by Zadavia and Optimatus, let alone have a child and a family. And also, since Zadavia is still alive, why isn't Deuce? They are both citizens of the same planet after all. I am sorry but I'm dreadfully curious about this. I also will understand completely if you can't tell me because it'll give away the story, the characters, the ending, or if you just don't know.
Great writing, plot and story as always Akira. I cannot wait for the next chapter!
Siamese: I think if she's anything like her ancestor, I think she'll fight back a bit. And thanks for the comment .
LoveGreenAndRed: Oh you'll be suprised at what I've got planned after they've dealt with Orran... And as I said for Siamese, she will not be very pleased at Orran for saying what he said .
Doggirl: You read them on DA? Cool . That's a good thing. And about Deuce? Should I tell you? Nah! I'll reveal it later in the story. MWA HA HA HA HA!!!
Thanks for the comments. I shall put another chapter up hopefully .
And yes take your time with the story. Don't rush. We'll be waiting ^_^

Rambling's okay! I ramble! I just had a tripple espresso! Ask Colours! XD XP
XD Yeah , I bet you did. And ramblings okay every now and then, but I used to have these sudden urges to shout out during class and when I wouldn't, I'd start rambling under my breath, to the teacher, or with my friends. Sadly, rambling speach is not a very accepted thing at school, 'specially during note taking. XD. Pfft... geez that was bad... lol!
But ya... rambling is fine in some places. Here for example! Great place for it, cause so many people ramble right along with you.
"So either you give yourselves up to me, or your doggy friend here will have her throat cut apart!" Orran forewarned.
"Hey! What did you just call me!?" Jess snapped as she looked up to the man sharply.
Orran brung his blade closer to her neck.
"Why don't you stop barking!?" He said intimidating her. "I don't like dogs that bark."
"Hey!" Duck cut in. "No-one calls her a dog and gets away with it you slimeball!"
"Fine!" The man finally shot out. "She's gonna pay with her life because of your rude comment!"
Orran slashed the sword across her neck. The harsh stroke left blood bleeding out from the cut. He then let the coyote drop down to the floor. Duck gasped.
"Jess!" He cried.
"That's enough!" the lecturer bellowed as he stood up. "Stop this nonsense right now and leave my students alone!"
Duck ran to Jess's side as Orran turned away from the choking female coyote. He then gave an evil grin at the Tasmanian devil.
"Or what?" The human sneered. "Give me a detention? Sorry, but it's going to take more than a pathetic punishment like that to stop me from achieving my goal."
"Destroying the wall to barge in here is one thing," Launceston started. "But taking someone else's life is another!"
"Well she was insignificant anyway." Orran chuckled. "She wasn't really a threat at all. But now I need to get rid of you."
He then pointed his blade at the lecturer.
"And killing you would be easy," The human continued. "Your species aren't the most intelligent creatures in the world. So getting rid of you will be less of a satisfaction than what it was for the dog."
Meanwhile, Duck was trying to help the Jess recover from her cut. He feared that she would die because of it. Just when he had lost all hope, some green light incased the cut on her neck. And before he knew it, the cut completely disappeared. The choking stopped and Jess rose her head to look at the mallard.
"Are you alright Jess?" He said in major concern.
The coyote felt her neck.
"I guess I have self regeneration too." She murmured under her breath.
Duck helped Jess up to her feet.
"Well we better help Proffessor Launceston before-"
The mallard's sentence stopped when he noticed some small purple lightning bolts cirle around the Tasmanian devil's hand. It was then that he realised that the lecturer too had special powers just like his ancestor. Duck could not help but watch in shock at the discovery.
"I've told you plenty of times to leave this place and my students be!" Launceston snarled as the lightning bolts became more obvious on his hands. "But you didn't take any of my warnings! Plus you have also murdered one of my students and that was the last straw!"
The teacher threw his arms up as the bolts followed the source of power coming from his hands. Duck stood up and ran towards him.
"Sir! Please stop!" He called out to him.
But the devil thrusted his hands towards Orran and sent out a blast of purple lightning bolts hurtling towards him. The man jumped out of the way, only to get the ray of light scorching the wall he was standing in front of. In anger, the muscular figure blasted another shot at his target. He missed again once more. Launceston gave a roar and ran over to the table block and lifted it up easily. It was then Jess knew that his anger was out of control. If he was going to try and get his revenge on Orran anymore and the university would be destroyed. Jess got up from her spot and ran over to where the Tasmanian devil was going to throw the heavy table.
"Sir! Stop!" She shouted. "I'm okay! Stop!"
But it was too late, the teacher hurled the table at the coyote. She winced and hoped something would divert the heavy object from hitting her. Suddenly she felt a strange tingling sensation course through her body. Once Jess opened her eyes, she heard the table smash against the wall. Just then she heard a voice.
"Are you alright Jess?"
The coyote looked up and found Duck holding her arms tightly. She could see him with yet another concerned face. Jess nodded with a smile on her face.
"I'm fine Duck." She assured him.
Just then they saw Orran exiting out from the huge hole he created in the first place.
"You Loonatics are a thorn in my side!" He declared. "But I'll make sure I get rid of all of you once and for all!"
And with that, he disappeared through the hole. Duck was about to chase after him when Jess pulled on his arm.
"Duck. We have to help the proffessor." The coyote pointed to the Tasmanian devil kneeling down on his knees panting for air.
Both of them decided to approach him. Once they stopped at the devil, they crouched down to him level.
"Are you alright?" Jess asked the teacher.
Launceston tilted his head up slowly and looked sincerely at the girl. His eyes widened as he gazed into her innocent eyes.
"But... you're meant to be dead." He mumbled. "How?"
"Um..." Jess scratched the back of her head. "It's hard to explain."
The Tasmanian devil looked around the hall to find it in such a great mess with concrete and wood spread about with dust covering everything.
"And I made all this mess..." He uttered.
"Half of the mess was done by that guy Orran." Duck interrupted. "The rest was done by your rage and..."
"I'm not like the others." Launceston immediately spoke in a frightened tone. "I don't use brawn, I use my brains in my mind."
Jess began to sympathise for him she made eye contact with him.
"It's alright." She comforted him. "You were only trying to protect us. You were just blinded with rage."
"But I never got angry like that before." The devil replied back as he glared at his hands. "Besides, what did I do?"
"I think you've got powers from a certain relative of yours." Duck concluded.
"Powers?" Launceston glanced at the mallard until he looked around the room. "By the time everyone finds out about this, I would probably lose my job for attacking someone else. I would have to probably look for something else to do with my life."
He stood himself up and looked at Jess with an apologetic face.
"I am so sorry young lady for almost trying to kill you." The devil apologised. "I don't know what came over me."
Jess just stared at him with a vacant face. Duck then stepped in front of her.
"I think I know how you can make up for trying to kill one of my team mates." He said.
"Team mates?" Launceston said with a puzzled expression on his face.
"Sir, how would you like to like to walk in your ancestor's steps and be part of a super hero team?" Duck offered to him. "You'll pay your debt to my collegue here and to society and you'll be doing something more worthwhile."
The mallard extended his hand out to him.
"What do you say?"
Launceston hesitated at the offer but in the end he gave a smile and grabbed Duck's hand and squeezed it hard. The mallard gave a shriek before the Tasmanian devil's hand let go of it. The duck's hand throbbed as Jess giggled.
"Welcome to the team Proffessor Launceston." She greeted him.
"Please," the teacher stopped her politely. "Just call me by my first name, Hobart. Now if you don't mind, I think I'll resign from my current position in order to pay off my debt to you."
"You don't have to do that." Jess said to him. "I would have used my healing powers to cure myself anyway."
But Hobart shook his head.
"No, no. It's the least I can do." He told her as he started to walk away. "But for now, class is dismissed."
After Hobart resigned from the university, he was introduced to the HQ and Zadavia introduced herself to him through the television screen. And it was only a week later that he managed to settle down to his new environment. This included putting on his new purple and black uniform on himself.
"Sorry but that one's the only uniform that would fit you." Jess said to him.
The Tasmanian devil turned around to face her.
"That's quite alright young lady." He assured her. "I like the colour. Besides, I feel quite honoured to take up a role that my ancestor used to be respected for."
As the coyote gave a warm smile to him, Duck waltzed in the living room and flexed his arms.
"You know what?" He commented. "I feel like I can take anything on. Even that Orran guy. I just have this zest to go out there and do something today."
"And today you shall." A woman's voice spoke from behind him.
Duck jumped in shock and turned around only to find Zadavia gazing at them on the television screen.
"Man, you really know how to make a hero stay on his toes." The mallard said.
"Quite." The woman acknowledged his comment, knowing really she gave him a big shock.
"So what's up Zadavia?" Jess inquired.
"Orran has been sighted at the Event Centre in the middle of the city." Zadavia reported. "It seems that an Anime Convention is taking place there and you need to stop him from causing more destruction before anyone gets seriously hurt."
"What? We have to go to a convention where they have people dressed up as weird characters and have weird cartoon things going on there?" Duck frowned.
"Don't worry Duck." Zadavia nodded. "I've already got you some costumes that will help you blend in with the crowd so he doesn't see you."
"But why can't we stay in our uniforms!?" The mallard whined. "We haven't worn them once in a mission! We're meant to be superheroes, not weird looking cartoon characters!"
"You'll find your costumes in your wardrobes in your rooms." The woman instructed them. "In order for him not to detect you, you have to wear them whether you like it or not. Zadavia out."
Once the television screen switched off, Duck turned to Jess and Hobart and gave a big sigh.
"It looks like we haven't got a choice." Duck reluctantly said. "Lets get changed and go get that Orran once again."

Inside the Event Centre, hundreds of people in a variety of different coloured costumes bustled around the stalls. The latest mangas, action figures, anime DVDs, costumes and weapons attracted the likes of magical girls and fantasy warriors from all kinds of directions. Finally Duck, Jess, and Hobart entered inside the giant hall all dressed in the same anime type costumes as every other person in the room.
"You know? This fantasy elf costume makes me look really heroic." Duck commented as he lifted up his green cape while holding onto a realistic looking sword attached to his leather brown belt.
"I think this Bo-Peep costume is a little too girly for me." Jess objected him while holding onto her pink shepardress bonnet and her long, golden, plastic crook.
"Well at least we're in a disguise where Orran won't be able to find us so easily." Hobart assured them while wearing his blue and purple mecha armour. "We just need to keep our eyes peeled for the guy."
The three Loonatics wandered around the stalls exploring the merchandise the stalls advertised. Duck eyed up a sexy, blonde haired female doll with fox ears poking out of it's head and wearing a purple bikini. The mallard glared at it for one moment until he pulled his head away from it.
"Does everything to do with manga hardly have any clothes on?" He muttered under his breath.
It was a while later when the Loonatic's search became fruitless.
"It's been an hour now." Jess said. "And there's still no sign of that Orran guy."
"Maybe he's one of the cosplayers here." Hobart suggested.
"I don't know." Duck scratched under his chin. "He would've made his explosive entrance by now."
Suddenly they heard a shriek coming towards them.
"Eeeeeeeek!"
They all quickly spun around in reaction to the sound. Suddenly, Duck's eyes enlarged themselves in suprise. The scream came from a female roadrunner in a red waitress costume with her purple feathers in a pony-tail on her head. The bird arched over with her head looking down to the ground. The other anthros looked at her urgently.
"What's wrong?" Jess inquired. "Is something wrong? Has something happened?"
The roadrunner flicked her head back up and gaped at the coyote.
"Oh my gosh!" She squealed. "That has to be the most adorable Bo-Peep battle costume I have ever come across!"
"You mean to say you screamed as though you were being attacked by someone just to say that Jess's costume is adorable!?" Duck snapped. "We thought you were in trouble!"
His angry comments were shunned as the waitress felt the white lace at the edge of Jess's yellow and pink dress.
"The lace is so authentic, the dress is so silky, and you look so cute in it!" She complimented Jess as she grabbed the coyote's arm. "Where did you get it from?"
"Um..." Jess did her best to stay calm while feeling at the back of her bonnet.
"You have to come to our stall!" The roadrunner interjected through her answer. "Follow me!"
"But wait! I-" The coyote pleaded.
But her arm was pulled along as the bird dragged her away from Duck and Hobart.
"Hey!" Duck waved his fist in rage. "She's our superhero, not yours!"
"We should follow them." The Tasmanian devil advised him. "Come on!"
Duck and Hobart pushed through the crowds of cosplayers while trying to follow their comrade and the eccentric roadrunner. The guys got many evil glares from the people they pushed along the way, but they quickly apologised one after the other until finally they came across a large stall where a variety of dresses hung around there as well as the accessories placed on the tables. And a sign saying "Shojo Style" hung above the whole stall.
Finally they both spotted Jess in the shepardress costume with no sign of the roadrunner anywhere. They ran towards her where she stood. The coyote noticed the duck and Tasmanian devil approaching her while panting for their breath back.
"Jess! Are you alright?" Duck gasped for air.
"I'm fine." Jess sighed of relief. "That girl's gone for now and told me to stay here."
"Well we'll rescue you from her." The mallard said. " So-"
"Oh my gosh!"
"Oh no." Hobart stammered.
The roadrunner in the red waitress costume approached them again.
"Is that Bo-Peep's battle costume you're wearing?" She asked while giving the Loonatics a broad smile.
"Look Missy!" Duck stepped in front of Jess. "It was very rude of you to steal our friend here without our consent! You better give us a very good reason to why you thought it was neccessary to do that!"
The bird blinked.
"What are you talking about?" She asked.
"You know perfectly well what I'm talking about!" The mallard pointed an accusing finger at her. "You practically kidnapped her! Sure she's in a weird manga costume, but that doesn't mean you can snatch her away without letting her say something first!"
"Oh! So you're liking this girl's costume too Ree?"
Duck's eyes expanded. Jess and Hobart stood there astounded. The voice belonged to another roadrunner in the same red waitress costume as the other bird called Ree. Finally the duck managed to show some signs of movement after his shock.
"Th-There are two of you?" He stuttered.
The roadrunners glanced at each other and then stared back at the group.
"Yeah." Ree said. "I'm Ree and this is Rita."
"We're twin sisters." Rita told them.
Now the Loonatics were even more suprised.
"Rev has twins!?" Duck gaped aghast.
Suddenly, a giant explosion was heard from the other side of the room. Everyone turned to the sound and saw smoke coming out in the distance.
Me: I SHALL HAVE THEE FERRET GOD OF DOOM SMITE YE DOWN IF YE FAIL TO DO SO!!!!!! I SHAAAAAAALLLLL!!!!!!!! Ozzie: *standing on a tall pillar in a cape and robes with his stone glowing* MWAHAHAHA!!!!! Do as she says or I shall turn you all into bugs! AHAHAHAHA!!!!!! Ant:... Is that supposed to be a threat? Rev: *squeals like a girl and jumps into Ace's arms* They're BACK!!! D8
Hahahaha!! I started laughing in chapter 7 when Duck was all: "We gotta wear creepy costumes?! We're super heros, not wacky cartoon characters!!" Gawd that made me go: "He has no flippin idea, does he?"
And chapter 8 is amazing as well akira! As soon as I read that there were two of them I'm like, "Holy crud, Rav has twins?! Dude, ironic much..." Hahaha!!! Now theres two Revs' to glomp!! HAHAHAHA!!!
-wipes away happy tears- geez, did this make my day! Great job on the chappies Akira!
Loveredandgreen: Oh yes . Double the trouble for Orran... and Duck XD .
Doggirl: Well obviously their Rev's descendants. Their parents were lucky enough to give birth to twins. And female ones at that. I have a feeling that they could get too annoying though. But we'll just have to wait and see.
"We better get over there immediately!" Duck commanded as he ran towards the smoke.
Jess and Hobart followed him leaving the twins staring blankly at the smoke rising inside the building.
The Loonatics tried pushing past the panicking people that tried to escape from the potential hazard of the explosion. They struggled against the crowd until they came to the source of the smoke rising. A giant, metalic, silver robot towered over them with a smaller figure standing on it's left shoulder. Duck eyed the figure up and immediately realised who stood there.
"Orran!" He shouted at him. "Don't you ever learn your lesson!?"
"My, my." The man grinned. "Are you going to a fancy dress party? You look rather fetching in that elf suit!"
Duck looked down at his front and realised that Orran did have a point. The mallard stripped away his cosplay costume to reveal his Loonatics uniform. The traditional black suit with the orange triangle placed across his chest. Jess and Hobart did the same with their costumes as well to reveal their black, green and purple uniforms similar to Duck's. Orran just laughed to that reaction.
"I think I prefered you in those dress up costumes." He smirked. "No matter, you won't look as good once I'm done with you."
"With that giant robot? So you couldn't finish us of by yourself then?" Hobart sarcastically commented.
"If it goes to that extreme, yes." The man replied. "Attack!"
The robot lifted it's mighty fist and tried to smash it on the ground. The three Loonatics moved away just in time before the mechanical beast placed a huge dent on the ground. Duck teleported himself near a stall where Jess landed near him.
"Jess!" He ordered the coyote. "Do you think you can high-jack that mecha bot with your metal powers?"
"I can try." She nodded as she jumped out of her place and approached the robot.
Jess concentrated as her hands glowed green. She thrusted her arm towards the robot as the machine's left arm glowed green. It's arm jerked but the coyote gritted her teeth as she tried to hold it. In a spur of a moment, a voice spoke into her head.
"Look left, but move to your right!"
Jess instinctively glanced to the direction she was told and saw a giant metal fist drawing closer to her. The coyote gasped as she dived to the right, avoiding the blow from the silver hand. She rolled into another stall and looked up. She then saw a blur of red speed past the table with one of the roadrunners following behind them. The bird then looked down to see the coyote on the floor. She picked her up and brushed her down.
"If I were you, I'd just stay here and keep using that cool green stuff on that robot." She advised her. "We'll go up close to it."
"Wait!" Jess said. "Hang on just a-"
But the roadrunner was gone before she could finish off her sentence. The coyote thought about what the girl said to her before deciding to try the plan out. She extended her arms out and her hands glowed green once more and tried to control the robot again.
Meanwhile, Duck was throwing his flaming orbs at Orran who deflected each one with his blue sword. The man then charged at the mallard attempting to drive his sword through him. As Orran got close to him, Duck managed to disappear. Orran stopped himself and growled under his breath. Suddenly he felt a weight on top of his shoulders. He spun his head around to find the mallard on top of his back. Duck wrapped his arms around the man's neck.
"Why don't you give up?" Duck said. "We've already beaten you twice! And I don't think you want to be beaten for the third time!"
"But you never know," Orran grunted. "It might be third time lucky for me!"
He grabbed one of Duck's arms and threw him off his back. Duck flew across the air and smacked himself against a costume stall. The mallard groaned and rubbed his head until he looked up to see Orran pointing his sword at his chest.
"You have been a thorn in my side duck!" He seethed through his teeth. "You maybe ninety-six years old, but now I shall finally get rid of you you pathetic creature!" ---------------------------------------------------------------------
Ree meandered in high speed through the robot's legs atagonizing it. And she was doing a good job of it. The robot tried to place each blow on her but could not make a decisive hit because she was so fast.
Hobart noticed this as he tried to place a blow on the machine. Suddenly, he lost contact with the ground. He felt as though he was being lifted into the air. He turned his head around to find the reason why he felt like he was flying. He then noticed the other roadrunner carriyng him from under his arms. He stared at her as they both soared through the air.
"Why are you carrying me for?" He inquired.
"Me and my sister had an idea." She explained. "But we only have one shot at this so pay attention."
"I'm listening." The Tasmanian devil permitted her to explain the plan.
"Me and my sis have been watching you guys and we worked out your powers." She began. "Since you have strength and thunder like powers, we think you can use them to your advantage."
The bird them eyed up the robot's chest.
"When the timing is right, I will let go of you, but you must use your tornado powers to aim yourself at the robot's chest." She continued.
"Are you crazy!?" Hoabart panicked. "I won't be able to do that!"
"Yes you can!" The roadrunner encouraged him. "Aim yourself at the robot's chest so you can combine your speed and strength to knock him off balance. Here we go!"
"Wait a sec-" The devil said.
But she finally let go of him. Hobart found himself falling down towards the ground. He screamed as he descended through the air.
"You can do it! Just trust yourself!"
Those words rung in his head. He didn't know who was saying it to him but he decided to try. He spun himself in the air, transforming himself in a tornado. He spun himself so fast that he found himself moving forward rapidly. Once he got the hang of flying so fast, he steered himself towards the robot's chest. Hobart extended his fists out and braced himself as he come into contact with the robot. He smacked himself against the metallic chest and rebounded of it. He finally landed on the ground and watched the machine trying to stay upright. Finally, the robot keeled backwards and toppled away from them. Jess came out from her hiding place and stood amongst Hoabart and the two roadrunners. They glared at the robot incase it came back up again. The robot still laid there motionless. Rita and Ree then celebrated their victory with each other.
"Yay!" They cried. "We did it!"
Just then, Jess gave a gasp.
"Where's Duck!?" She panicked.
"Oh no!" Hobart mumured. "You don't mean I-"
Suddenly from out of no-where, Duck appeared to them from thin air.
"Okay! Whoever tried to kill me with a falling robot better have a good reason for doing so!" He snapped.
The roadrunners stopped what they were doing and approached the mallard.
"Well our plan worked didn't it?" They both gave him a smile.
"You idiots!" Duck snapped at them. "I could have been killed by that giant robot if it weren't for my quacking powers!"
"But if it weren't for us then that robot would still be standing." Rita pointed out. "So don't we deserve some thanks instead of a telling off?"
"Well you put me and everyone else in danger of getting ourselves killed!" The mallard shot back.
Jess and Hobart then stepped in front of them and stood between them.
"Just stop arguing for one moment please!" Hobart bellowed.
Both sides quietened their volumes down. Jess then turned to the twins.
"I just want to ask you something;" She questioned them. "Did one of you speak into my mind by any chance?"
"That was me!" Ree shot her hand up. "I telepathically sent you that message."
"I also encouraged you telepathically Hobart." Rita added. "We're both telepathic."
"So that's how we heard your voices!" Jess realised as she turned to Duck. "These two can be really useful for the team. Maybe they could join."
"No way!" Duck shot out. "They're too annoying and you risked to many lives to join the team!"
Ree's lip trembled.
"That... that's such a mean thing to say." She whimpered.
Suddenly she burst into tears as her sister wrapped her arm around her shoulders.
"I can't believe after we helped you defeat that robot, you throw it back in our faces!" She said angrily to him. "You ought to think about what you're saying!"
"But-" Before Duck could come back with something, he stopped as a set of voices rang in his head.
"I can't believe you said that I'm useless!"
"But you are though! All you ever do is run around annoying villains and use you GPS to show us where the bad guys are. You don't really do anything else apart from that."
"Well at least I try to be useful instead of showing off in front of everyone else! It's not fair that I don't have powers that can make a real difference to the world! You know what? I wish I could have your powers so I'd benefit the team more than what I usually do!"
"Well you can't! It may suck but sorry! That's they way life is!"
Duck thought about those words rolling in his head. He remembered where they came from. That argument before the mission that placed him into that seventy-five year coma. He thought about how Rev must have felt bad when he realised he couldn't say an apology to him. In fact, he started to regret the nasty words that he come out with and wished he could say sorry to Rev and make up with him. But he couldn't. He looked back up at the twins and gave a tired sigh.
"I'm sorry." He murmured.
The girls turned around and gazed at him in confusion.
"I'm sorry that I've said those things to you." He continued. "I wish I never said those things to you. And to prove I'm truly sorry, I want you to fufill this request."
He gave a sincere stare at them. He felt like he was saying it to Rev. But since he wasn't face to face with him, he felt at least let him hear it through the twins.
"Will you do me the honour of being part of our team and helping us protect this city?"
Without warning, both of the roadrunners glomped him and screeched in excitement.
"Thank you! Thank you! Thank you!" They squealed.
"Uh... no problem." Duck choked. "But I think I'm losing air here. Now let go of me please!"
Jess and Hobart then laughed as the twins loosened their grip on him. ------------------------------------------------------------------------
"But I want to wear the red one!" Ree whined as she held onto the pink and black uniform in her arms as Rita guarded her red uniform.
Jess, Duck and Hobart sat on the sofa in the HQ and groaned. The sisters had been arguing over the uniforms for over half an hour and still counting.
"Sorry, but I was born two minutes before you," Rita clung onto her uniform. "Therefore, I get first pick."
"Fine!" Ree spat out as she hastily turned away from her twin and inspected the uniform. "Besides, we really need to sort out this uniform design. It's so plain and old now, we could do something to them to make them more fancier and heroic."
Just then, Duck sat up from the sofa and slowly moved away from the rest of the group. Jess and Hobart noticed Duck walking towards his room and swirled their heads around to try and catch a glimpse of him.
"Duck?" Jess asked. "Are you alright?"
The mallard's head turned around eforrtlessly to the Tasmanian devil and the coyote gazing at him.
"I'm okay." He mumbled. "I just need to reflect on myself."
Once Duck departed to his room, Jess and Hobart exchanged puzzled looks at each other telling. It was then they both knew that something private was troubling the duck's mind that made him go to his room.
Mein gott. I should really read these things when they start so I don't have to read it all at once later.
Although it wasn't a chore to read this. That in and of itself says a lot.
The initial thought of all the Loonatics being dead except for Duck depressed the hell out of me, I won't lie. Also I am a ridiculously hopeless fanatic of both Rev and Tech and Rev together, and 99% of the time if I'm reading a fan fic and one of the two don't even have a prominent role, much less if they are completely absent, my interest feigns rather quickly. I for one should say right now that I could probably never write a fan fiction without Tech and Rev, especially the latter. But I was able to read through this rather quickly while wanting more, so obviously something's working that usually doesn't.
All throughout this story I get a really bittersweet vibe. I don't know if anyone else has noticed this - no one seemed to comment on how this was kind of sad - but for me it was. Duck's memory of his discourse with Rev was particularly painful. But, considering I wrote October and am writing The Fragile, you'd know that sadness isn't really a problem with me. *laughs*
I think I know where this is going next. But I'm not 100%. Thus I wait eagerly for the next installment.
Cassidy: doesn't that remind you of a certain story you've been stuck on for months and......
Me: *glomps cassidy* shush, you!

Dragon Wing: Thank you for the constructive critisism. I'm trying to intentially answer a very difficult and rhetorical question: Is it worse to be left behind or to leave something behind you?
My first reason why I chose Duck to sleep for seventy-five years was because of all the Duck Dodgers halabaloo and so Duck being a descendant of him (maybe?), was the obvious candidate. My second reason for using him as the central character is because I wanted to explore more on his personality and how he would cope without any of the original Loonatics around. I think all the other Loonatics would adapt to their environment and situation quickly. But with Danger Duck, I wanted to see if he could stay strong in an extreme situation like this.
But the reason why this chapter was so bittersweet was because I wanted to find a way to get Duck to convince himself to let the Runner twins in the gang. And I thought along the lines of what people on here discussed about Rev's powers and how they weren't too offensive and I think some of the inspiration came from your fan fic "The Fragile" so I won't take all the credit. And what better way to let the twins in the team was to make him regret not saying sorry to Rev in person after the argument. So by giving them a chance, he feels as though he's done Rev a favour, even though he's expired.
But even if Rev and Tech are not the central characters in this, I'm glad you've read it through so far. I really do appreciate the constructive critisisms. They really do help me improve my writing (I hope). And the next installment of Loonatics Unleashed G will be done as soon as possible.
Cassidy Coyote: I actually drew a picture of them. But I'll post them up later . And finish that fan fic DAMMIT!
Thank you very much for the comments and hopefully the next chapter will come to you soon.
Yes! Sad! I was just thinking that. My heart-strings were pulled tight by that little fight between Duck and Rev. That roadrunner dosn't diserve one mean word thrown at him.

-Sniff sniff- Poor Rev, he is too important! Just a bit carried away at times, thats all. And poor Duck, I can't really blame him for how he's feeling at the moment, but I do hope he can get over it eventually. But, I wanna know who's next to become discovered! Ace's desendant? Or perhaps Lexi's? Or even (goes into Acexi shipper mode) both ? Heh heh, I can't wait!
I agree with Dragon Wing as well. The story is very sad when thinking that the others are gone and the chapter is bittersweet, but it's a great read none the less!
While Jess, Ree, and Rita were elsewhere, Hobart strolled down the landing staring blankly at the carpet on the floor. He couldn't help but wonder why Duck walked out of the living room so suddenly earlier. Being a resigned lecturer, he decided to put his thinking skills to the test to analyse the mallard's behaviour.
"He said that he needed to reflect on himself," The Tasmanian devil thought to himself. "But on what?"
Hobart knew from Duck's body language demonstrated that he was offended in someway. Could it be something that someone had said to him? Rita and Ree were arguing over the uniforms, he didn't really think Jess would say something to hurt him.
"Maybe it was something I said." Hobart scrutinised at this possibility.
But then he remembered that Duck was in combat with Orran at the manga con while the rest of the team dealt with the giant robot. Did Orran say something that made him... scared? Something that has stuck in Duck's mind that maybe rolling inside his head?
Hobart finally stopped at a grey door and inhaled a deep breath. He grabbed the handle of the door and slowly pushed it open. As the gap between the door and the frame increased, he could just see the mallard curled up into a feotal position on his bed. The Tasmanian devil hesitated for a while as he didn't want to disturb Duck. But he pushed the door a little more until it attracted the duck's attention by lifting his head up and giving Hobart eye contact. Finally Hobart fully opened the door and stepped inside. He looked around to find a few of Duck's possessions on top of some of the white drawers. But Hobart couldn't help but find the whole room in general plain. Why did he need to think about he wondered while he had the mallard staring at him from his bed all that time. Neither of them could speak for a moment until Hobart positioned himself next to Duck on his bed. The mallard fidgeted his fingers .
"So... why are you here?" Duck asked quietly.
The devil gazed at him with a hint of concern on his face.
"Is everything alright?" Hobart offered to the mallard.
"Yeah." He answered.
"Are you sure?" The devil inquired.
Duck hesitated.
"No."
Hobart exhaled through his nose.
"Care to tell me about it?" He said.
Again, Duck stared down at the floor and flexed his fingers.
"You do realise that I am ninety-six years old, despite the fact that I have been in croyosleep for seventy-five of them and despite my youthful appearance?" Duck told him.
The devil nodded.
"Yes. I remember that introduction." He recalled. "It was quite a shock at first, but I've gotten used to it."
"Well," Duck continued. "It's just, ninety-six years is such a long time to live. And seventy-five years is also a long time to sleep. And during that amount of time, everything seems to have changed around me. The whole landscape of the city, the way humans see anthros as normal and the Event Centre... that was never there before. I had to adapt to so many new things around here."
But then the mallard gave a sincere stare at Hobart.
"But in a way, I feel so sad that I've missed out on so many things because of that explosion." He resumed. "I never actually got to experience the prime of my life. And while the others had descendants to carry on for them, I was just left to slumber like I'm being preserved because I'm like the last of the species or something. But in the end, the real thing that still has me sad was what Ree said. About the uniforms being old. It kind of made me think that it's been such a long time ago since the original Loonatics first formed. And for the group to have disbanded, I feel like now, society is missing something like us."
Hobart at first expressed a blank face to the mallrd, but then he gave a smile to him as if he understood what the duck had meant.
"You know? Time stands still for no-one." The Tasmanian devil explained. "But still, since the dawning of time, people have recorded lots of historical events and the environment around them, and therefore it is always engraved in history no matter what. The plague, the two world wars, the Woodstock events, everything that has happened in the past you can think of was there. But memories are also like a record of history but it's only personal to you. Sure you may have not experienced everything in life that you wanted to, but in the end you still have the memories which you do have close to your heart do you not?"
"Well," Duck pondered for a moment. "I do remember being at the orphanage most of my life, but obviously it wasn't the best. Then I joined in the Loonatics team. Man, those were the best days of my life. It was like doing community service with my friends. It was dangerous and stressful at times, but still fun nevertheless."
"So you have some amazing stories that you could tell me or even others that would be interested in listening to?" Hobart said.
"Yeah." Duck said enthusiastically. "I could tell you a hundred of them! Like the time when we had to deal with some evil robotic vikings that tried to freeze Acmetropolis over with the ice and snow. Oh! And also the time when we had to try and stop a mad scientist from destroying the city with these cute fluffy Fuz-Zs which were actually giant, evil monsters with huge sharp teeth and claws, and the only way to stop them was to hoover them all up and collect all the chocolate away from them because that's what turned them big and scary in the first place."
As Duck continued with his stories, Hobart chuckled. The mallard turned to find him doing this and stared at him. The Tasmanian devil then gave Duck a smile.
"I'm guessing those memories made you feel happy huh?" He said.
"There were times when I could have been angry or upset at anyone." Duck told him. "But being with the team... they helped me grow to be the hero I am now. Or better still, we are now."
"You see?" Hobart spoke. "If you told those stories to the others, they'd be fascinated and want to know more about you and that part of your past because they seem so believable. And that's because they have come from someone who was actually there in the action. Those stories are so believable because they are memories that are so special to you, that you want to share that with the rest of the group. And those memories are special to you because they are part of who you are. They are part of your personality. It's the same for everyone else. Don't you agree?"
Duck thought about the speech Hobart gave to him as he turned the Tasmanian devil.
"Yeah. I suppose you're right." Duck agreed. "But you know what?"
"Hmm?" Hobart hummed.
"I think I need to start making new memories with you guys." The mallard decided. "I need to pick up the pieces and start again from where I left off."
The devil nodded his head in agreement.
"I agree."
Suddenly, the alarm blared out the loud sound. Both of them snapped out of their nostalgic moment and glanced at each other.
"I think we better see what Zadavia wants." Duck suggested as they both got up from his bed and exited the bedroom.
Duck gave a sigh of relief. After that little discussion with the Tasmanian devil, he suddenly felt a lot better about the mission he was going to lead.
Aaaaaaw!!! Cute! This was a great chapter Akira! And let me guess, Ace and Lexi's kid is coming up, right?

The three girls stood in the meeting room of the HQ waiting at the television screen with the image of Zadavia flickering across.
"Ooh! I can't wait for our first mission together!" Ree squealed in excitement. "I wonder what we're gonna do!"
"But we have to wait for Duck and Hobart first." Jess said.
As if on cue, Duck and Hobart burst through the doors and finally stopped at the group. All the females stared at them as Duck rose his head while panting for breath.
"Sorry we're late." The mallard gasped for air. "We were having a little chat."
Zadavia only gave him a short hum before she started her briefing.
"Orran has been sighted again at the largest cinema in the city for a movie premiere for the film "Eyes of Revenge"," She started.
"What!?" Duck shrieked. "I thought we managed to finish him off at the manga con with that giant robot squashing him!"
"Well somehow he must have escaped." Jess concluded.
"Wait a minute!" Rita interupted. "That means-"
"Chase Bunny will be there!" Ree finished off her sister's sentence.
A pair of ear piercing fan-girl screams filled the room as everyone else covered their ears and winced. When the screaming stopped, Duck frown with a puzzled expression.
"Wait. So who is this Chase Bunny?" He asked.
"You haven't heard of Chase Bunny!?" Ree glared at the mallard.
"He is one of the most greatest and most hunky and handsome movie actors ever to star in films such as "The Samurai's Kiss", "And then there was you" and "The Silver Bullet"!" Rita gushed out.
Duck just blinked at the amazement of how much of his fans they were. Zadavia then cleared her throat to carry on with her speech.
"Anyway, Orran seems to be specifically targeting him for the same reasons he was trying to track the rest of you down." She continued.
"Well with more of us, he's going have a hard job trying to get rid of us." Duck snorted.
"But how he managed to get the giant robot at the manga con, who knows what he'll come up with next." Jess said.
"But I don't think he got that robot on his own." Zadavia told them as she switched over to an image of a small, bald headed man wearing what looked like a sandy brown with orange stripes down his arms and legs with black army boots. Duck gasped.
"How did Electro Fudd stay alive!?" He pointed.
"No Duck," Zadavia assured him. "That is Eero Fudd. He according to information that I have encountered, he was one of the military robot builder until he made secret plans to another country to buy some of his designs and creations off him. Fortunately he was found out and was fired. Now he wants revenge on the military for doing so. It seems he's teamed up with Orran to dispose of you so they can both carry out their terrible deeds."
"So we have to protect Chase Bunny at all costs!" Ree exclaimed.
"You have to blend yourselves in for tonight so people wouldn't be so suspicious." The woman instructed them. "Nor do we want Orran to find you should you not see him first. I hope for the city's sake that you succeed. Zadavia out."
The cinema glowed it's bright colours into the night as the crowds of people cheered for the other actors strolling down the red carpet. Flashing light from cameras blinded the atmosphere as some celebrities in their clean posh suits and sparkling diamond dresses waved to their admiring crowd.
Suddenly, the crowd focused on an on coming car pulling up to the beginning of the red carpet path. Photographers poised their cameras ready to take the photos as the many reporters pressed their pencils on their notepads ready. The car stopped at the right place. The crowd waited for the chauffer to pull open the door to reveal the celebrity coming out from the car. Then out stepped a male grey and white rabbit anthro onto the carpet along with an orange female fox wearing a sexy, silk, red dress that dragged along the floor. Immediately flashed lights from the cameras as voices from reporters and fans a like merged together to make the gereral atmosphere distorted.
The male rabbit gestured graciously to the crowd as the fox linked her right arm through his left arm. The anthros walked up the path and approached a group of fans waving their autograph books in the air, each one desperately trying to get the actor's attention. They started signing inside each of the screaming girls notebooks. After the rabbit's signature was placed, each girl would swoon at the fact that his name was on that single page. He then came across Ree and Rita who handed their notebooks to him.
"Oh my gosh Chase!" Rita shrieked. "I am your biggest fan ever!"
"But I'm a bigger fan than her!" Ree squealed in delight.
The rabbit named Chase chuckled.
"That's what they all say." He muttered as he grabbed the red pen that was handed to him.
As soon as he made contact with the object however, he froze still. The roadrunners waited for him to write down his signature on the pages. It was only seconds later that he snapped out of his trance and finished off his writing on the page and then scribbled down on the other notebook. He then handed the books back to the roadrunners who inspected the signature. Once they gave their fan-girlish scream Chase led the female fox away from the crowd of screeching girls and continued their way down the carpet. The fox looked at the rabbit's face to find some concern written on it.
"Chase, are you feeling okay?" She asked him. "You just suddenly don't look so good?"
"Felicia," He murmured. "Something is going to happen tonight that we're not going to expect."
Felicia frowned.
"What are you talking about?"
"I think-"
But before Chase could begin his sentence, the ground suddenly shook. Both of them spun around to find a giant, brass coloured robot standing before the crowd. This time the screams were of fear as many people ran away. As Felicia left Chase's side, he could only stand there with fear written across his face. He knew something unexpected was going to happen, but right now, he was scared. Not only was the event unexpected but the giant robot was glaring right him. The machine then lifted it's heavy fist and was about to place a hit on him. Chase could only throw his arms across his face and hope a miracle will come and save him. All of a sudden, he felt a sweeping motion in his body. He only felt a gust of wind breeze on his face. But as he opened his eyes, he looked up to see a female roadrunners smiling face. The rabbit flinched as he looked down. Both of them were several feet in the air. He then realised that the girl was holding him while floating in the air. The rabbit gave a little squeak as he looked back up at the roadrunner.
"A- Are you my guardian angel?" He stammered.
"Not quite," The bird spoke. "But thank you for such a sweet comment."
"Then what's going on!?" He inquired. "How come you can fly!? Who are you!?"
"My name's Rita." She introduced herself. "And I'm a superhero. Now if you don't mind, we're landing."
It was a few minutes before both of them felt the ground with their feet. Rita then prepared for her flight once more.
"Now I gotta go and help my friends." She said. "But thanks for the autograph."
"But wait!" The rabbit shouted.
But it was too late. The roadrunner disappeared into the sky before he could ask her anything. As he stood on the pavement, he began to have worse feelings than what he wanted to have about the situation going on at the cinema.
