I do not believe I am destined for any sort of relationship like that. Or kids. I’m gunna be one of those lonely old women who has heaps of cats. For I do not believe in love. And the thought of marriage scares me. Because how can I marry someone that I do not love? And how can I love someone when love does not in fact exist?

I'm planning on living in Oregon up in the mountains bu still near the beach in a log cabin with a huge garden and some animals. *sigh* ^_^

You never struck me as the type of person who didn't believe in love.
Why don't you believe in love? I can't imagine not believing in it...
I mean, for example, I /hate/ apologizing. Always have since I was a kid.
The only reason I ever apologize is out of love and for love's sake.
And well, if we're talking relationship type love... never say never!
That kind of love is never known until it's found, in my experience.
You can't choose it. You can't predict it. It just kinda... happens.
Granted, relationships aren't meant for everyone... but who knows?

Since we're talking life choices... I have my entire life planned out.
I'm going to major in English in Europe for four years and no more.
Then I'm going to move to the United States again... New Mexico, preferably.
And then I shall have four children. Three biological boys, one adopted girl.
Then I'm going to found a dog sanctuary and write two novels before I die.
Oh, and in my spare time I'm gonna learn to play the drums professionally.

I believe in unconditional love when it is, of course, your family(some times even THAT doesn't exist)... and God. god's love is undoubtedly unconditional to the hundredth degree.

But anyone else? No. What reason do they have to love you for eternity? Natural instincts tell man to sew his seed anywhere possible so as to better his chances of continuing his bloodline... Natural instincts tell women to go and find the best father possible for their offspring so that they'll have good genes, whether it involves the ability to provide, or stunning good looks. If she finds a feller with one trait and not the other, she'll end up finding the other without the man she's tied to knowing...

*shrugs* Cheating, lies, emotional baggage, heartache, fifty foot walls that need to be torn down so one can even get in, competition, unrequited love, mental/emotional/physical abuse... Seems like a lot of work for a little romance... And is it even worth it in the end? Just to be forgotten or left behind or moved on from? Some people experience loss and sure, you think: "Hey, he/she obviously wasn't the right one for her/him." But then, when WILL they find the right one? What if the right one already died before you could meet him/her. Or what if the right one dies after you find him/her? Do you get a second right one? Does that therefore not mean that you get a right two? But what if you lose them both? Do you have to go one being lonely forever? What if the right one loved you but you messed it up and have no chance of getting them back?

I have become indifferent to romantic relationships. And I think that romantic relationships have become indifferent to me.

Wow... Suddenly... I feel really cynical...
